Nothing but 3 points.
Prediction
Qpr 1 Leeds 5.
Put your money down boys.
They can't stop us.
ALAW.
Hooo raaaaa.
Give it to them.

If Leeds do score 5 ( FIVE )
Then beers are on OP all round.

5 goals would helpfully also put Leeds GD above Leicester again

should Leicester NOT win either of their remaining 2 matches.

Im nervous for tonight and with the kind of football that I imagine QPR will employ (a draw is worth gold for them in their relegations scrap) I am not too expectant of a Leeds win. However, I just wanted to say regardless of how we do tonight and for the remainder of the season i have loved it this year and that doesn't depend on whether we go up or not. If we are still in the champ next season then great - another season under Farke with a few shrews additions will be just as much fun and arguable more of a prospect than the EPL. Bring it on but win, lose or draw I will be back next year with the same appetite for all things Leeds.

Agree5 0Disagree

26 Apr 2024 12:44:26
Not sure signings shrews next season Cuppa is going to help . they be very small with no ball skills .

Agree1 0Disagree

26 Apr 2024 12:48:51
But Cuppa surely you, Berma and others believe that best manager ever in Chsmpo DF can outwit and overcome little ole QPR

And what's this pessimistic nonsense about Lèeds not getting top 2!

Be positive Cuppa!

26 Apr 2024 16:46:57
Baz farke is the best manager in the leauge statistically. that’s just a fact

Bit like bubs getting mugged by relegated Wigan and Ipswich being a fact… funny how you get facts and stats muddled depending on your view point.

Completely agree Alf.
Apart from a few hiccups at the start and recently, it’s been a great season and one where I have managed to get some tickets to watch them live in a long time
ALAW.

Agree1 0Disagree

26 Apr 2024 17:44:01
Fair post Alf. We all expect them to sit back and pack midfield.
What about someone lashing in one from outside the box for a change?
Or maybe someone scoring from a powering header from one of the ten plus corners we normally get in a game? Come on lads, an early goal (for us! ) to settle any nerves, then have a right go at them. It’s always the other team’s cup final against us, but tonight it really is our cup final.

Disingenuous Berm

Why refer to a meaningless match?

That Ipswich away game in 2019 season match 46 for Leeds of EFL season utterly meaningless with top 2 already confirmed

Hopefully not a deja vu of this season match 46.

Have any of you received tickets for the Southampton game via the ballot
I haven't heard anything and obviously assuming that I've missed out.

26 Apr 2024 11:53:39
I havent, but I know that people who have have already been informed so i would also guess that you missed out. i think if there are returns you may still have a chance, or if you just keep checking the ticket portal sometimes one or two come back available.

26 Apr 2024 12:36:45
51, if you don't hear, you don't get! I have been in a few, including this one, and i didn't hear or get one either. Even bought train tickets 2 months ago thinking and hoping I'd get 2. As I have said before, Wonka bars have a better win ratio.

Apart from the obvious results we wish this weekend, its possible that if Hudders manage to beat Birmingham they may have a chance of staying in this division, meaning they may fight Ipswich all the way and who knows maybe not the walkover expected.
Hopefully this won't be the last straw.

Agree2 0Disagree

25 Apr 2024 19:57:29
Totally agree Whitsee, only a few games to go for Ipswich and they will trip up in one or more of those games, Huddersfield will be a tough game as lots of teams at the bottom need wins, while Hull need wins to get in the play offs, so for me it’s all still to play for and I do think we will finish 2nd 👍👍👍👍.

25 Apr 2024 20:10:40
Gòod call re Huddersfield

Baz predictions

QPR 0 vs Leeds 1 ( heart over head . probably more likely a 1 1draw

Huddersfield 2 vs Brum 0 ( keeps Huddersfield alive for Ipswich final game )

Norwich 1 vs Swansea 1
Wendies 1 vs West Brom 1
( to keep Hull up for Ipswich

Now the other big one

Hull 2 vs Ipswich 1

Preston 2 vs Leicester 2.

25 Apr 2024 20:43:40
We only need Hull to get a draw against the Tractor Boys and we win our last two games. Simple math! Forget about all the other teams.

Best result we could have hoped for, Hull winning, means they will need to beat Ipswich for play-off spot, obviously providing Norwich lose. We so desperately need a win on Friday, if that happens a loss and a draw gets us up.

Stevie, stop stressing, it's cool. We are destined lol, but a part of me hopes we go up at a packed Wembley in late May, what an occaision that would be. I think though, by Tuesday evening we will be promoted 😁.

Vid Ipswich will beat Coventry . Hull vs Ipswich is the key match as long as Hull still have a chance of getting into top 6

Leeds must beat QPR on Fri

On Sat 3pm Norwich and/ or Baggies must NOT win to keep Hull with a chance of top 6 when they play Ipswich Sat at 8pm.

The timing is not great.
All week I’ve thought. Yeah we got this. We are going to do it.
We just have to see how it plays out. We don’t know what results of games are going to be. Look at toffees last night 😮
We can only try and win ours and the stars align
Two more big heave hos and fingers crossed back to the promise land.
Hoooooo raaaaaaa.

Agree2 0Disagree

25 Apr 2024 06:53:51
Impossible to predict any results now. Coventry have just as much chance to beat Ipswich. As Middlesbrough proved, you don’t have to have anything to play for to put out a big performance.
In fact the more the importance, more the pressure and nerves.
Leicester could although unlikely, lose their last two games!
When you are behind, as we are in the table, the psychological point is that we have nothing to lose, to protect your higher position, you have everything to lose.
The strength is in the attack not in the defense, so to speak.

Agree2 0Disagree

25 Apr 2024 07:47:22
Even if Norwich win (hopefully only by a small margin) , Hull would theoretically still be able to get past them, but obviously with a significant swing in goal difference.

While. Coventry will have nothing as a team/ club to play for hopefully their best players will want to put in a decent effort against one of the top teams to prove their quality to potential suitors who could provide an alternative route out of the EFL. Obviously the dual disappointment of just missing out on FA Cup final and now falling short of playoffs won’t help the atmosphere in the stadium, but I guess beating high-flying Ipswich would be the last thing for them to aspire to for this season - one last hurrah, their final game at home to QPR is hardly one to set the pulses racing.

Much straw-clutching, I know, and the proof of the ‘pudding’ will be in the watching/ listening, from behind the sofa.

You got to love our team and this site, brings people together to talk a load of old dribble, and i mean that in a nice way. Doris Day sang a song about what we are discussing, Que sera, sera, whatever will be, will be. Gets grip on tight, squeeze the old bum cheeks in and hopefully enjoy the ride. MOT.

It might not have been pretty, but I think the Boro win might just be the thing to get us back on track and provide the impetus for wins in the next two games.

The one thing I know for sure is that I am going to enjoy how ever many games we have left before the tedious silly season starts.

Agree1 0Disagree

25 Apr 2024 14:46:16
One doesn't need to sing your fave Doris Day songs Dougie to correctly predict

1) Citeh win league. check

2 ) Luton, Burnley, Sheff U going down. check

3) Everton won't be anywhere near getting R . check

4) Leicester win Champo. check

5) Man U are mediocre/ underperform again . check

6) Leeds U finish 2nd . check . (ok that one was not predicted 🤔😀)

Agree0 0Disagree

25 Apr 2024 14:52:15
Getting to EPL is financially desirable of course . but not sure any Sheff U fan enjoyed much/ any of their season in it

A truly woeful season with an avalanche of defeats and goal concessions

EPL genuinely not really much of an enjoyable league to be in for quite a few clubs supporters perhaps.

Baz Brighton is a one-off. Just because they have done very well using whatever model they rely upon doesn't mean we can replicate it. The financial rules are changing to a SCC. Squad cost control. It's directly linked to incoming revenue so gate receipts will play a substantial part in the equation to allow large spending on recruitment. We therefore need a 50,000 seater minimum in order to compete. I'd personally argue we could use a 60,000 seater.

Agree0 0Disagree

26 Apr 2024 15:35:21
There are examples of other clubs too George such as Brentford, Palace, Fulham and dare I say it Bournemouth

But fair enough re your point on changing financial rules.

Baz Yes those clubs along with Brighton are what Orta ought to have been. Perhaps the clue was in his name. Our new sporting recruitment team is a vast improvement.

Hull win tonight keeps them bang on with a chance of top six. Huddersfield beat Birmingham at home next game and they have it all to play for away to Ipswich last game.
We beat rangers and even though it's out of our hands I make us favourite for top 2!
Such a massive game Friday. We need the big performers to perform. Another Cree goal cutting in and a Bamford tap in should do the trick 😆.
