Daniel Farke is planning for next season and likes West Ham midfielder Tomáš Soucek.

1.) 16 Apr 2025 20:42:52
Which club will that be with Cuppa?

16 Apr 2025 13:17:54
Rasmus Kristensen is no longer. Deal confirmed with Frankfurt. Fee around £7.7m.

1.) 16 Apr 2025 14:52:50
?????.

2.) 16 Apr 2025 17:06:32
Good ridden to dead wood, should never have bought him, certainly not good enough for championship never mind premier league.

3.) 16 Apr 2025 17:18:26
Decentish fee . he has had a decent 2 seasons.

4.) 16 Apr 2025 17:57:28
Farsely yet
Past 2 seasons. RK played 29 matches for Roma and this season 25 matches in Bundesliga

£ 8 million about right.

5.) 16 Apr 2025 18:48:48
Apparently £9 million according to bbc.

6.) 16 Apr 2025 19:09:04
Better fee still then MOTagain.

7.) 17 Apr 2025 09:36:13
Like Baz says, he's had a good couple of seasons. Adjusting to the English pace of game an issue. Prefer to have Bogle now we have him, so we've got a good-ish deal in the scheme of things I think.

Leeds still keen on Julian Weigl of Borussia M'gladbach.

Leeds said to be targeting 6 new signings this summer including a CF (Evan Ferguson top of the list) no10, keeper, left back, winger (although the hope is that Solomon will be acquired) and centre back.

Leeds have their eyes on Nick Pope this summer with Newcastle yet to offer him a new contract.

Alfcupper

1.) 15 Apr 2025 09:47:19
I like Pope and he would be a huge upgrade for us in terms of gk talent . but only concern would be his injury record perhaps.

2.) 15 Apr 2025 22:26:12
I’d rather have pope Francis.

3.) 16 Apr 2025 07:28:36
Pope Francis doesn't play football at this level, although he may be useful in getting rid of any gypsy curses.

4.) 16 Apr 2025 07:39:04
Or Mary Pope-ins.

5.) 16 Apr 2025 19:20:30
That would be magic, Bright. wonder if Bert would come as part of the deal? Does anyone play sweepers anymore?

Bambi if I wanted a serious chat but Willie G for a laugh.

9.) 17 Apr 2025 09:44:02
Agree with most, tho for me AO would also be player of the season, as he has been much more consistent. DJ will probably win due to his goal and assist stats, but in reality, he should have much more of both. Bogle should be up there too, as barring a tricky intro, he has been a bargain and revelation, silencing his early season pointless critics.
I'd also like Bellingham, but Kelleher from Liverpool would be first.

10.) 17 Apr 2025 09:47:27
It always amazes me how we all watch the same games but see players so much differently. It’s interesting that the first player most would sign is a goalkeeper.

Signing- Bogle. Started off a bit shaky, but gives 100% every game and has 6 goals, not bad for a right back in his first season. some very crucial goals, also apparently a big character in the dressing room and still only 24 years old.

Player of the season- DJ. His goals and assists have been crucial. Not up for debate really.

Underatted- Darlow. Has settled down the nerves of the defence and fans.

Youth- can’t comment really as none of them have had a chance.
Can’t pick Joseph as he has had plenty of chances, albeit cameos, but 4 goals in 58 appearances isn’t going to cut it.

Signing- Kelleher or pope if available

Player/ person to have a beer with- it would have to be with our set piece coach
Just to pick his or her brains on the goals return we’ve had from the hundreds of corners and free kicks we’ve had this season.

11.) 17 Apr 2025 13:16:43
Great point C and J re "set piece coach" . pretty sure that must be only Farkey himself .

as if there somehow really is a specialist set piece coach currently at LUFC, then going by our truly woeful set pieces . we need a replacement pronto!

12.) 17 Apr 2025 15:02:42
Leeds don't have a specialist set piece coach - it is one of the assistant coaches that does it. I believe we have the lowest returns from SP in the league so I personally would bring someone in for next season. Saying that, we don't have a squad well suited to set pieces with a fair number of smaller players. With the best will in the world, Gnonto, Solomon, DJ etc are never going to be nodding in goals from corners.

13.) 17 Apr 2025 15:20:55
100% Baz. As much as I like Joe Rodon, and I think he’s had a good season, but one goal return is extremely poor, given how many corners we get every game, which he goes into opposing box for every one. I wish he had as much conviction attacking the corners as he does defensively. He would be double figures this season. I know it’s his job defending, but I bet he knows he should be chipping in with more goals than he has. I made the same point with Robin Koch a couple of seasons ago, never scored once in 70 plus games. Came up for every corner as well. Both lads taller than both “big” Jackie Charlton and Gordon McQueen I may add! Could be that DF is in charge of set pieces, I’m not sure. I remember hearing that when arsene wenger was in charge at arsenal, he never really was over the moon at getting corners, as he was always afraid getting caught out in a counter attack. Whether that was gen I don’t really know.

14.) 17 Apr 2025 15:59:27
You shouldn’t really need a set piece coach. Get a good delivery, ala Rothwell against Sunderland, and a decent header of the ball attacking it like pascal did with conviction, and that causes problems for the opposition. Nobody expects DJ, sol, or big Willy to be powering in headers from corners. Not sure why you think I’m expecting that from any of those lads. Strachan was very good at coming up with innovative set pieces in Howard’s team. Anyone remember the Strachan/ Mcallister corner against villa? Also big Chris white at the front post, flicking the ball on, and Chris fairclough steaming in to head home. Preston actually had a half decent set piece against us, thankfully we managed to block it. Every team and every set of supporters at every level gets a lift when they get a corner, I just think it’s a bit of a wasted opportunity not to capitalise on the amount of corners we get every game.

15.) 17 Apr 2025 18:03:37
Super follow up post Cand J . I was thinking the exact sane thing of that superb clever intricate corner routine by Strach and McAllister which set up Chappy for a tap in vs Villa in our league winning season

The ball remained on ground throughout. one of my fave ever Leeds goals from a corner.

Leeds have scored 82 goals in a single league season for the first time since 1969/ 70 under Don Revie (84) .

Alfcupper

1.) 13 Apr 2025 06:57:41
And we would have beaten that already were it not for poor linesmen.!

2.) 13 Apr 2025 08:48:21
And awful refs assuming we scored the pens, which to be fair is questionable.

3.) 13 Apr 2025 12:33:56
It's quite something to think how many goals we would have if not for poor officiating and how many bloody chances we miss! I know we won't score every goal but there are at least a dozen (with most coming from yesterdays game! ) chances where we should have converted.

How many times have we said "It could have been 4, 5, 6, or seven goals this match"?

I's not a bad thing really. It shows just how effective we are at attacking pushing.

12 Apr 2025 22:53:45
Today was Daniel Farke’s 57th win as Leeds manager in his 100th game, the most wins in a manager’s first 100 games in Leeds United’s history.

Alfcupper

1.) 12 Apr 2025 23:33:43
The team have done great this season.

2.) 13 Apr 2025 03:56:17
Farke undoubtedly in our top greatest managers ever.

Most goals scored, most wins out of 100 in our history the list goes on.

He took over a club in termoil, the loan saga last season, 120 mass exodus this but he still dine amazingly well.

He has had a lot of vocal critics with in the club (none from neutral fans however) I think it just shows the blindness of some fans, said from the off he is quailty but in order to be loved he need to sit on a bucket.

I hope he genuinely gets the support love and credit that for me he deserved from day one.

Think I might reinstate myself as the smug self appointed cockney oricle.

3.) 13 Apr 2025 06:04:15
Farke has achieved some very impressive records at our club and it is strange that he is criticized so much and not really taken into the heart and soul of the club, maybe that will change a little if he wins us promotion.

It should be said though that his real test to prove himself as one of the best Leeds Utd managers/ coaches will be to ciment our future in the Premiership.
No one will expect miracles from him to begin with because of the very visible gulf between Championship teams compared to Premiership ones, but if he can keep our heads above water with signs of improvement, then for me his status as a Leeds Utd manager should be exalted.

4.) 13 Apr 2025 07:41:32
Farke’s record as a championship manager speaks for itself but, let’s get promoted first, before we start anointing our coach.

5.) 13 Apr 2025 08:50:28
Op exactly,

Many have written him off in prem due to history with Norwich but he was never given a chance and considering the tools I think he did well in the prem with what he was given.

Hopefully he is given half a chance as undoubtedly he is a great manager and for me already got place in top three managers at leeds. But I think given the fact it seems we have money and our recuritment has been amazing I think and hope the future is bright.

6.) 13 Apr 2025 09:55:40
Class you’re right that he hasn’t actually achieved promotion yet. But keeping us at the summit of this league for the larger part of this season is no small achievement in the Championship.
Every team in this league wants to and believes they can beat us, always playing well above themselves to obtain the biggest scalp in this division.

Not withstanding that there is the huge expectation and weight of our old history that weighs down heavily on our clubs employees.
Farke for me is not only doing very well with the football side but also the pressures of our club.
I wouldn’t underestimate his quality of coaching and man management of his players.
We all find it very easy to criticize someone sitting in the hot seat, but rarely consider the detail and difficulty that comes with that position.

7.) 13 Apr 2025 11:47:44
Few things to consider regarding farke

1. Leeds termoil when he took over loans etc… still getting 90 points which is a promotion any other season
2. Losing all our best players and 120 million sales
3. Bringing in players like gnoto (twice) wobber and arrason from the cold.
4. Being the team to take down and everyone’s cup final
5. Blatant biased by refs and leauge regarding decision and fixtures kick off times
6. Maybe biggest factor… fans. leeds got promoted during covid which was a huge benifit to leeds…. It doesn’t go unnoticed that without fans leeds played better none more than bamford who scored 17 top flight goals with no crowd yet not scored for a year in the second tier with them

Many haven’t taken to farke but he has been a miricle worker and we all owe him regardless of next season.

8.) 13 Apr 2025 12:40:50
On paper, farke has succeeded with this team. How much of that is his managerial ability and how much is it team quality?
Sure, the stats speak for themselves and as a Leeds fan I am very proud and appreciative of what we have achieved this season so far, even with many, many obstacles in our way.

I don't agree with Farkes subs however, and I suppose even superman has a weakness.

Personally, while I appreciate all he has done, how calm he has been, how the staff behind the scenes have picked some impeccable talent like Rothwell, Tanaka, Solomon and Bogle, I just don't click with him.

I don't know what it is, I don't know why I feel this way, I feel harsh for feeling this way and even though I can respect and appreciate him, I just don't like him. Sorry, Daniel, please keep winning, keep on being succesful and I hope your continued successes bring Leeds to the top of the Prem and beyond. I hope you do so well for Leeds that they build a statue to you and your name is remembered for the next 50 years as the greatest manager at Leeds United, I genuinely, truly do.

9.) 13 Apr 2025 15:33:37
It’s 100% down to managerial quailty

When Belisa had a good team it was because he improved players yet when farke improved players it’s because he had a good team? It can’t logically work both ways.

Mot I can tell you why you don’t like farke a phcatrist (who is also a leeds fan explained it)

Farkes Norwich beat beamish leeds so there is a deep rooted subconscious dislike of the man.

Plus Belisa was our first love… the man who we fell in love with and took us back to the summit after 16 years out in the wilderness.

So despite farke doing better in every sense in far harder circumstances the human Brain is not programmed to let us love him as we are subconsciously replacing him with our love of Belisa…. That is the reason a professional phycatics gave me and it makes sense.

Now it’s my dislike of Belisa that works the other way, this is why I was more open to farke and behind him as he replaced the man I couldn’t stand oppose to the man you all loved. It makes sense really

Obviously as a d@@k that I am I would like to point out I was right farke is the far better manager aa stats prove but of course football is not stats it’s passion love and mindset which is why many leeds fans will never give him the credit due or give Belisa the flak he deserves.

10.) 13 Apr 2025 17:34:18
I appreciate the breakdown Bermo.

Unfortunately, I never saw Leeds play under Bielsa, due to me not being anywhere near the UK for a few years and other life events. I know of what he achieved but I won't comment on something I haven't seen.

Like I said, I don't know why i dislike Farke, he's not unlikable, he's a nice, calm guy who comes across as professional and, seeing him celebrate after the Sunderland win was absolutely magic. I have nothing but nice things to say about him, (except maybe his sub timings! ) , I just don't like the guy. I try not to let that dislike win over objective fact but I am only human and my brain is mainly mush.

I just wanted to be honest about it.

11.) 13 Apr 2025 18:05:13
MOT…. I know folks go on about Farkes subs, but don’t appreciate that our subs ….

Have scored the most goals from subs this season
Have the second most involvements in goals this season
Have secured the most points this season

Simple as.

12.) 13 Apr 2025 19:56:32
No questioning of his subs ani. We saw what they did at sunderland and sheff utd.

I just wish they were a little earlier. Sometimes our players pick up niggles or are having an off day and Farke waits a bit too long to bring them on.

Or maybe he loves the tension that comes with the nerves!

13.) 13 Apr 2025 21:38:31
I think Saturdays match was the case in point and the issue for Farke. We are edging towards 65 minutes and everyone is expecting subs but if your Farke, what do you see?

We are creating chances for fun, Piroe is getting chance after chance; we are under no threat; we're playing really well. It's hard to see how subs can make it better?

He makes the subs and we immediately start giving up possession, chances dry up and Preston start being a threat. From my pov in the stands I'm actually hoping for no subs; everything was working. until the subs.

On another day, nothing is working and you're begging for subs.

I guess I accept that Farke makes the decision and by and large he has got it right; the stats say so.

14.) 13 Apr 2025 22:41:09
In the last game, I would have subbed Piroe. He wasn't converting, which is very unlike him. 90% of the time, you put the ball at his feet in the box and it's a goal.
Bamford a straight swap for him at half time or 60ish minutes would have given Bamford time to fit in.

Gnonto seemed a bit out of sorts on the wing and if arranson was going to come off (I would have left him on) Gnonto slipping into 10 and Schmidt picking up the wing would have been my choice.

Obviously I'm not the manager and we won, so no complaints.

I just wonder sometimes why Farke does what he does, from a learning point of view for me, as, like you say, the subs he made led to us giving up possession, it was a bit disruptive.

Bamford on for Piroe would have been the change I would like to have seen. Paddy in 10 was odd as arranson played more on form than Piroe.

It's funny though because the subs that have come on and scored for us to have that record were mostly scored by Piroe.
