Baz, you used to blame the kit for away defeats, but that’s not applicable anymore is it, now it’s Piroe! I think your predictions are tight seeing as though Leicester have had players on international duty and they play before us, Ipswich the same and Southampton too, so it’s definitely a tough call. I’m with OP and Dill on this because, Piroe is a good player, he just needs to find a balance and due to our front four flying at the moment he hasn’t been able to put right his poor displays. Yes extra time could have been done without in Wales but these are super fit players and Rodon and Ampedu will be super up for this because they will not want 2 disappointments in four days. Then there’s DJ, well there are plenty of world class players miss penalty’s and it’s never a problem unless your name is Patrick Bamford! Finally forget Leicester and their points deduction because it is NOT happening this season but what could happen is that their heads could wobble because of it all, so let them get on with it. We have 12 wins and 1 draw in 13, that tells me that we will beat Watford but I think there will be significant points dropped by our nearest and dearest over Easter starting on Friday, also and most importantly Connor Roberts still has his moustache on which is still working well because he is still undefeated while he’s had because although Wales got beat he was substituted before the penalty shootout! So come on Baz show some optimism and stop looking for the negatives, you just might start enjoying your weekends again! lol ? Super Leeds - Prediction is Watford 1 - 4 Leeds United, DJ scores a brace ???.

Agree2 Disagree0

The fruit salad away kit has had a great 2024 ; no wins in the ghastly blue away kit

And no wins in any away kit last season.

27 Mar 2024 15:15:19
It’s madness to me… this has been one of our best seasons ever… better than when Belisa got us promoted… how can some moan about this season when there god got us up by performing worse?

It’s beyound me… I’m loving life and I’m the most negative on here.

27 Mar 2024 15:20:44
Woody . does Piroe fit a DF system and especially away from home? Results suggest not so much ;

watching Piroe play away from home, very slow, hardly involved, especially the December matches feels like Leeds have 10 men at times on pitch and more likely to concede / lose .

Woody : so what's your score predictions then for Leicester, Ipswich and Southampton matches?

27 Mar 2024 15:52:01
With Baz on this insofar as it relates to Piroe but don't see anything other than a victory against Watford even if Piroe plays the 90. Unfortunately it is conceivable we can drop points against Hull.

27 Mar 2024 15:56:24
Predicting Leeds get a draw away ( a la Rotherham, Huddersfield, Hull ) : shock, horror. how dare one! ?

Berm rather than continually focus on your obsession Bielsa ( and KP )

it would be more apt to compare your fave Farke and his EPL squad with McKenna and his L1 squad

Facts are comparably McKenna is considerably overperforming with the squad he has ; McKenna doing ( far) better than Farke this season if one tries to be impartial no Leeds United bias

Honestly.

27 Mar 2024 16:25:23
How is McKenna doing FAR better than DF Baz? We are above Ipswich, we’ve beaten them twice 3-4 and 4-0 so that statement to me is ludicrous! I totally agree with your overachieved statement but far better than DF, really? On Piroe. Why would DF go for him if he didn’t fit into his plans? In all truth I think we went for JP in case Bamford never came back to full fitness, but he did and he’s on a good enough run to keep JP out, but next season I think Bam Bam will be gone and we will look at Piroe stepping up with young Joseph in the wings, just my opinion though, this does not mean I’m right and everyone else is wrong! Baz can you remember what you predicted for Leeds scores for the last 13 league games? It’s just you always seem to be playing the over cautious card, live a bit, go for a 6-0 Leeds win, through caution to the wind and get that Friday feeling flowing through those ice cold veins mate! ??.

27 Mar 2024 17:15:22
Woody au contraire my Ikea lurking Woody . I have gone plenty of Monte Carlo style Leeds United big wins in 2024 .5 nil, 4 nil,3 nils. OP will confirm as he reminds me about em

As for Farke vs McKenns

Same points bar one point

EPL squad vs L1 squad

Farje has Rutter £ 35 million transfer fee player . and numerous others

. McKenna signed players in summer totalling less than £4 million in transferbfees.

27 Mar 2024 19:09:31
Ipswich's so called league one squad currently got 4 players on loan from premiership teams.
International players from Wales, Nigeria, Australia, Egypt, Ecuador, and Jamaica.

Plus others with premiership and championship experience.

YES, they doing brilliant and all respect to them for that.
If Ipswich get up into the premiership this season how many of their current team will play, won't their owners spend on better players? . No guarantee to stay up but surely if relegated they will have a better squad than most championship teams.

Don't get the fascination with Ipswich and McKenna, more than happy with Leeds Utd and Farke.

27 Mar 2024 19:10:33
Baz I know your predictions are spot on sometimes but this McKenna v DF is bordering on ridiculous! Ipswich have Moore up front on loan, and they have many players who are sought after, so they are far away from being a League One team! Yes Leeds have Georginio £35M but he was bought in the premiership and he was doing nothing and I mean nothing, we nearly let him go to Dortmand but thankfully we didn’t, but DF has turned him, DJ, Willy, Archie, Meslier and Bamford into great players again, he brought Byram in, Anthony in, Roberts in and along with Cry who wanted to leave, he has worked wonders, you have to admit you don’t have to give much motivation to (like you said a League One team) searching for the promised land, no, but to a team of ex premier league players who think they are to good for the Championship with the price tags they have takes a lot of man management and with all the loan leavers at the beginning of his tenure shows his level of management, plus there is the small matter of DF pulling back a 17 point deficit, I can’t recall McKenna and Ipswich having any of those problems. DF head and shoulders above McKenna and he’s not an ex Devon melt eh! So give your head a shake my fellow IKEA shopper, what ever that is? lol ? ?.

27 Mar 2024 19:17:00
McKenna’s done well with what he’s got but all will be for nothing if he doesn’t make promotion after all this massive over achieving this season. For the moment McKenna’s stock is very good but if they don’t make it to the Premiership this season they will most certainly in my opinion have nowhere near the success next season . Just as much as his success this season has made his stock very high right now, he might be absolutely pants in the Champo next season and probably will be if he stays.

You can only judge Farke and McKenna, who is the better at the end of this season.
Don’t forget Farke and Leeds were a huge 17 points behind Leicester in top spot and where are we now?
Don’t underestimate Farkes achievements this season so far.

27 Mar 2024 19:34:46
Well said OP we are on the same page, I think WE are overachieving measured with the start we had mixed with all the loan problems and players not wanting to play for us, DF has done a remarkable job and IMO he’s connected with the fans probably more than Bielsa did! Brave statement on here I know but I’ve got my bunker door open ready! lol ? MOT ?.

27 Mar 2024 19:56:04
Mckenna has done a brilliant job at Ipswich. He has built a strong tight squad and he has rode the winning wave from last seasons promotion and continued it all season. They have a certain way of playing and have been quite lucky with injuries they have not missed important players.
Farke has done well getting the team playing well and closing the gap to the top. Mckenna has done well keeping a lesser team at the top all season.
I would say our calibre of player means our appearance at the top a little less surprising.

27 Mar 2024 19:58:07
Mezzer . most of the Ipswich L1 players remain

Plus they signed, Jack Taylor from Peyerboro, George Hirst from Leicster and Al Hamadi from Wimbledon total arounf £4 millionn

Yes the loan in. Jan of Kieffer Moore was a very good one, Hutchinson from Chelsea decent

They are certainly overachieving.

27 Mar 2024 20:04:33
OP your critique of McKenna ' it will all be for nothing if he doesn't get promotion '

you can copy and paste for Farke

Frankly if ' (previously L1) Ipswich finish in top 2 ' . it will be more than a tad embarrassing for 2 of (previous EPL) Leicester, Leeds and Southampton management.

27 Mar 2024 20:08:19
Woody . DF has done well ; its just that some do considerably hyperbole how well

# Huge 8 matches.

27 Mar 2024 20:10:50
Another top post Ben .

27 Mar 2024 20:25:23
They carried on with their promotion momentum, most teams do, obviously they’ve exceeded that bounce more than most teams would. They’ve gone behind in most games and have been very fortunate to make second half last minute winning recoveries with a large pinch of luck. Conceding as many goals as they have is not a good sign of a team doing very well, as I’ve said, a lot of good fortune involved with their victories and having little to no injuries also a tad fortunate.
Their style of play has been very borderline as far as the rules go, Championship refs being very lenient on fouls and time wasting has been in their favour also.
Basically they’re getting away with one in a number of their games.

27 Mar 2024 22:25:53
God baz give it a rest

It’s leeds forum rather than bang on about another team let’s talk leeds

Farke outdid Belisa when Belisa was manager of leeds costing us promotion

Then Belisa got leeds up…farke doing better this season than Belisa did when we went up

Let’s all love farke and leave it there!

All leeds are we! Ain’t we baz?

27 Mar 2024 23:22:37
No matter what happens McKenna is manager of the season. If Leeds get 100 plus points and get promoted above Ipswich it’s still the same outcome. He’s done an unbelievable job. All this bull that they had momentum, do me a favour. How many Ipswich players would get in the Leeds side? Not many!
Not knocking Farke by the way.

27 Mar 2024 23:28:31
ALAW Bermo, now that’s the best thing posted today ????.

28 Mar 2024 02:10:43
What Corky said . McKenna manager of Champo

God Berm give it a rest on your Bielsa obsession . this thread is NOT about Bielsa at all.

28 Mar 2024 05:13:12
You boys stick with your Ipswich and McKenna, Farke for me out does him if we are Champions, especially with the carnage Farke had to deal with at the start of the season.

28 Mar 2024 07:15:23
He’s done a good job, yeah. Good for him.
Don’t get this outpouring of praise for him tho, as personally, I don’t give a cack about him or his team unless they are losing. Farke has tactically outmanoeuvred him twice, and he looked bemused and clueless both times, which was hilarious.
I’ve said it before, if they don’t go up, they will fall apart next season, and I still won’t give a cack about him, or them.

28 Mar 2024 10:35:25
Suggest you rewatch Ipswich 3 vs Leeds 4 . no way did DF " tactically outmanoevre" anyone that match. Ipswich dominated possession, had 23 shots and but for poor finishing should have scored 7 .

Leeds for once were fairly clinical with their chances and Sinistera was the difference who was was far too good for Champo.

28 Mar 2024 10:38:07
Same also could be said of LUFC . if Leeds don't go. up they likely ' fall apart next season " . losing many players.

28 Mar 2024 10:54:39
100% Bright, i can tell you blokes who feel it’s necessary to put McKenna’s performance as coach ahead of Farke’s, we probably wouldn’t even be in the top six it wasn’t for his skillful coaching tactics and dealing with the messy aftermath of all those loan clause traitors
I’m just amazed by some people’s opinions on this subject,
Well never mind, each to their own.

28 Mar 2024 11:22:15
Give over far too much laughable hyperbole on this forum about how DF " coped " with the players that left on loan . those players Harrison, Wober, Roca, BA and RK are NOT even rated by many on here!

So no loss at all right?

You can't have it both ways OP! . according to you those players are carp. So no big deal they left? Right? ??

The talented ones not on loan clauses Rutter, Summerville, Gnonto, Bamford, Struick, DJ etc were kept!

28 Mar 2024 12:25:37
I honestly feel that there is a vast over usage of the word “hyperbole” on this site currently! ??
(Alternatives can be found in the Thesaurus. I’m a fan of “amplification”) .

28 Mar 2024 13:31:39
No surprises there with you Baz, undermining Farkes achievements so far this season, wouldn’t have anything to do with the fact that we won’t end up in your predicted 12th or 6th position or whatever it was at the end of this season. Must be very frustrating for you to have got it wrong again. Your negative hyperbole posts about our club far outweigh my positive ones.
Your wonderful Jack Harrison was one of those players who thought Leeds was not good enough for him anymore and I can have it whichever way i want it Baz ???.

28 Mar 2024 13:46:10
Nah Brighty amplification ( adding to story) not accurate

Hyperbole ( obvious exaggeration) is accurate.

28 Mar 2024 13:58:31
Nah OP you have been belittling little ole L1 Ipswich and McKenna considerable achievements all season one of the ' Ipswich have gone baloney 'bandwagon

As stated previously I really hope that Leeds finish 1st or at least 2nd . but they could easily finish 4th in which case my prediction of 6th is more accurate than your 1st

JH is a good player but Leeds are well covered with wingers

Carry on with your misguided hyperbole it is amusing.

28 Mar 2024 14:24:15
Just want to clarify.
Farke has done a tremendous job but Ipswich boss with the players he has at his disposal has imo done a miraculous job.
Still hope Farke gets manager of the year as that would mean we are the Champions!

28 Mar 2024 14:48:48
Cork, i don’t deny that he has done a great job at Ipswich and has vastly overachieved this season in the Championship. My beef is if Leeds are Champions then Farke is indisputably the best manager/ coach of this league whatever any other coach might of achieved.
Whatever people might think that if you are one of those clubs that had been relegated from the Premiership, it most definitely doesn’t guarantee promotion the next season. I look at Leicester right now and if they don’t win all of their next eight games, there’s a possibility that they themselves could be in a lotto playoff situation, after being the absolute nailed on team for promotion throughout this season.
