And if we had lost to Peterborough or Plymouth no doubt the moaners would be moaning about that, Kamara off it today didn't play Weds, neither did Rutter, Bamford or Gruev, Gnotto and Jimmy played 11 minutes so how exactly has those 6 players playing 22 minutes between them on Weds explain todays poor performance.

Whiteman I am with you 100%. We need to go all out trying to secure top two. We are already in the playoffs and need to avoid it.
On another note I still think we are hampered by playing 2 defensive midfielders who cannot score goals and not willing to shoot.
If we are going to continue with Amps at the back (which I agree) than Archie Gray must play in midfield with Roberts at RB.
Joseph must be devastated not to be on the pitch today!
Bad team selections by DF will cost us in the end. IMO.

Like Rich said, bad day at the office, nothing to do with Fa cup game against Chelsea. Good that we got a draw. We’re not going to win every game to the end of the season, nor will the others around us.
It will be a close finish though.

Don't agree Whitey. 5 of those starting today didn'start at Chelsea. The bottom line is we didn't play well and Huddersfield put us off our game. More twists and turns to come.

Whiteman and Baz explain what you mean about F. A cup game on Wednesday having a bearing on today’s result. Gruev, kamara, Gnonto, Rutter, Summerville and Bamford didn’t play against Chelsea. Gnonto and Summerville came on in the 79th minute. Out of the last 10 games, we have won 9 and drew 1. Apart from Bamford getting the equaliser today, those lads that were rested against Chelsea all played poorly today. We had 79% of possession today, and I would say 70% of that was passing the ball sideways and backwards. We don’t need 2 holding midfielder players. Gruev and kamara are tidy possession retaining midfielders, but very rarely do they have a shot or play an incisive pass for an assist. Another important contribution from Roberts when it was needed. Archie good again. It would have been good to see Rutter against Chelsea, just to see how good he is against premier league opposition. They doubled up on Summerville today, but the last couple of games, he’s underperformed. 28 points out of a possible 30 isn’t that bad. We have another derby cup final on Friday again, but hopefully we normally win on Fridays for some strange reason.

We have travelled up and down the country last few weeks and had a few tough games recently. Players bound too be tired. I do think should have played Joseph today as his confound have been sky high. Piroe not performing and kamara could do rested. Play Roberts right back. Archie in the middle and byram back at left back. Changes happen. Some work. Some don’t. I think wer we are now given the start we had and period in December we would be more than pleased to be in that mix. Onwards and upwards. Can’t win every game. That was their cup final today. As the fans proved by getting a draw. You would think they had been promoted.

Half the team did look jaded today; ironically the 5 who didn't play on Wednesday seemed to be suffering the most. However, it seems its all down to those fans hoping that we could beat Chelsea; who would know eh?
Truth is, Summerville has been off colour for weeks, as well as Kamara and Rutter [Pireo since the beginning of the year]. Imagine if Farke had decided to rest them today?
On a bright note, we are closer to the top tonight than we were this morning.

1 too many, if we had lost to Peterboro as u seem to wish we had, firstly confidence would of been knocked, that result was was at the beginning of our recent excellent run, plus fans would of been bemoaning a defeat, same with Plymouth, 1 too many as we shouldn't of drawn, winning breeds confidence, o and bam bam scored a worldie, which gave him a much needed boost,

I totally respect your opinion Baz, but sometimes in games like today’s game, we could have been done with someone lashing one in from distance, or a defender coming up for a corner and getting his head to it, and it going in. But I would be surprised if the likes of Gruev or Kamara will ever take a shot at goal. Look at Roberts against Leicester, to his credit, an opportunity came up and he had a go, and that was us back in a game we should have lost. I absolutely agree about needing an inspirational figure like Strachan or pablo though. I like the look of the lad Chair at QPR. But as King Billy said, we pick our selves up and go again.

Leeds weren't that great in 2023 ( 6 defeats) so have been playing catch up.
If you are content with dropping 2 more points against lowly teams so be it,
but we have less than a 1/ 4 of season remaining and if Leeds miss out on top 2 by one or two points. well then.

He didn’t play MJ today because he would have (tried) to play the role that Bamford was already doing (and scoring with) . His option would have been taking Bamford and / or Rutter off, which made no sense, given they were offering the most (granted mooted) threat.
