Having seen the pic of Stach's ankle, I'd be surprised if we see him again this season!
Fortunately, I'm no Dr, so could easily be wrong.

06 Apr 2026 12:39:57
I believe Leeds now have just two EPL matches this month of April, Man U away and the crucial home match vs Wolves.
(As Bournemouth away will be moved, I believe, to a later May date due to our Cup match vs Chelsea.)

Hopefully Gabi, definitely Rodon probably, are indeed available in 8 days' time for Man U.

And, as for Stach, he recovers by, say, early May, so misses only a couple of matches.

06 Apr 2026 12:58:32
Swelling can often make things look worse than they are. I've had worse than that and been back on my feet within days.

06 Apr 2026 13:10:13
Exactly 💯, Alf.

06 Apr 2026 13:57:44
What you like on set pieces, Alf? Going to miss Stach big time if he's out.

06 Apr 2026 15:39:16
I have just seen that Leeds Utd were told that the penalty shoot out could not be done at the Leeds end. How can this be allowed? If it is a safety issue, then the game should not take place at that ground.

This is another kick at Leeds Utd fans, and I hope that Leeds Utd will be taking this matter up. Please don't let this slip.

{Ed001's Note - that happens all the time. It is not a Leeds thing.}

06 Apr 2026 16:32:17
Very un fair if that the case ED 001. Has to be changed they have the home advantage to Start with not point throwing the coin for anything just ask the home side to pick 🤷🏻‍♂️a bit like VAR outdated.

{Ed001's Note - it is stupid but it has happened a number of times. It is usually the police that advise on it. Personally I think if they are not up to the job of ensuring there are no issues, they should really consider how they police the games, rather than creating unfair issues like this.}

06 Apr 2026 17:41:09
Ed001 fully agreed mate thanks

{Ed001's Note - very welcome mate. I understand your frustration, it does create an advantage.}

06 Apr 2026 22:31:44
I thought the routine was to have two coin tosses, one to decide which end to use and one to decide who goes first, or is that just used for internationals?

07 Apr 2026 10:13:55
They did in the end, JR, against safety advice. I clearly saw two coin tosses.
I had a post relegated to the discussion page, chaps.

07 Apr 2026 14:19:09
Thanks Aus, (eagle eyes) , I missed the 2nd coin toss.

08 Apr 2026 21:41:16
Set pieces definitely not one of my strengths (although getting my head on them was) . I'm much more adept at turning my ankle.

06 Apr 2026 10:54:08
Well, that was a roller coaster ride! A great result in the end, especially after being on the end of some diabolical refereeing decisions. On the downside, a couple of concerning to Stach and Rodon. One thing for sure, this win should be a real confidence boost for the squad to get the required points for PL survival.

Agree9 Disagree0

06 Apr 2026 12:39:45
Absolutely no disrespect here, Feath.

But here, now, is a classic example of strap lines + adages being used, but in actual reality we could very well be without 2 of our best 3 players for a few upcoming cup finals. I have very little confidence in Bournauw or Gruev, who now could be used in very high pressure games.

We are not going to beat City, so for me the negatives have outweighed the positives already. Survival is fundamental now for us, and if the lads are out, that battle has gotten a whole lot tougher.

06 Apr 2026 13:00:06
We haven't been drawn against Citeh, Chris.

06 Apr 2026 13:07:15
Calm down, Chrissy. Injuries happen in football, and we fortunately have just three currently in our squad

Rodon will likely be back very soon, and in the meantime Justin can play as a 3rd CB

Tanaka and Longstaff are more than good enough, and should be playing more.

I like Stach, but with respect, he is no world beater, just a good component within our squad. (If, say, we had a true matchwinner in Raphinha injured, I would get your angst.)

Hopefully Stach may just miss the 2 EPL games in April.

06 Apr 2026 13:08:44
..And what's with 'we are not beating Citeh'?

Why not? In a one-off cup game, anything can happen.

06 Apr 2026 13:54:05
Of course we ain't drawn City yet.

Baz, I will put my remaining mortgage on us not beating City if we make the final. There's a reason we are 15th and they're 2nd after all, furthermore, had Jimmy been available yesterday, I feel like we wouldn't even be having this conversation.

We were flat out throughout ET, let's not forget that.

I just rather us try secure league safety as soon as.
Now, that's possibly become a lot harder.

06 Apr 2026 13:55:49
Also, not much point in you talking about who we haven't got in our squad, Baz.
It's an undeniable fact right now. He's 1 of our better players that we have.

06 Apr 2026 14:41:40
That would be a very, very brave bet, Chris, for a one-off Cup game.

Citeh were strong faves in FA Cup finals vs Palace and Wigan, and lost them both.

It's not as if this season is the best Citeh side ever either.. far from it.

06 Apr 2026 15:41:09
We are aligned in our thinking, Baz. Football is about moments and achievements, and, more importantly, memories; who's going to forget our trip (s?) to Wembley. After nearly 60 years following Leeds, it has been far too infrequent. Let's be frank, yesterday was a game between two teams, where one of them has a high chance of being relegated, so why not have a go and try and win the Cup.

As for can we bear Citeh; absolutely we could. There's only one team this season (ok, maybe 2) who we really couldn't beat, and they're not in it. City have been very fortunate against us this season.

We're probably not going to win it, but for now we can dream. another key part of supporting your team.

06 Apr 2026 16:06:52
Ani 💯 spot on.

Football for me is All about memories and moments, and, with Leeds reaching an FA Cup semi, there is a (now decent) possibility Leeds can now win the FA Cup after soooooooo many embarrassingly ridiculous failed seasons for our club in it over the past 5 decades.

As for the EPL, well, for me it has become a very, very boring closed shop now only open to the very few to win.

06 Apr 2026 16:36:47
You can bet it will be forgotten very quickly if we go down, and we'll be there for 16 years, just the same as Marcello's time getting us up.

06 Apr 2026 16:51:25
If we win it.it will never be forgotten Whitey.as for the EPL we will never win it.we just exist in it

06 Apr 2026 17:39:55
Baz, I love your newfound positivity. That will upset one poster who always says you're negative. Keep up, mate. 🤣🤣🤣

06 Apr 2026 18:51:51
Hey White, the EPL is no great shakes imo; yes it's where everyone wants to be, not least for the money, but then you need the money to stay there. Notwithstanding that, it's a very boring (meh!) place to be. 90% of games are turgid affairs full of simulation, cheating and faux drama. Add in VAR, crappy refereeing, and you question the sanity and commercial risk taking everyone takes getting / staying there!

I hope we're not relegated, only because it usually means we lose our favourite players and manager, but I would take a cup win over survival if we could.

Obviously. both would be an excellent season / achievement.

06 Apr 2026 19:07:08
Whitey, indeed.. but I always maintain that I am generally a positive bloke on most things.

Ani, again, I am in 100% agreement. We totally agree on this.. refreshing. 👏

06 Apr 2026 20:18:17
Baz, I think you are, mate. 😀 ani4ni, fully agree, mate, we are some way off, but getting there.

06 Apr 2026 22:08:53
Yes, Chris, the injuries are a blow. But they could have happened 10 mins in against Man U. Who knows? And, beating Man City, if we manage to beat Chelsea, would be a massive shock, but who would have thought Southampton would beat Arsenal? Never say never. I will stick with my prediction made on here a while ago, PL safety and a Wembley appearance.

07 Apr 2026 01:10:04
Before yesterday's game, a number of people were calling for Struijk to be dropped, but having just watched the full recording on LUTV, he was arguably our best defender, and also scored the decisive penalty in the shoot-out.

Perhaps his non-fans can cut him a bit of slack from now on.
Also, one hairy moment aside, Perri had a decent game, his kicking was better than hitherto, and he saved two pens, so what's not to like.

07 Apr 2026 06:32:05
Indeed, JR.
Pasc was MOTM and stuck his neck out for the final penalty, which takes cahones. He does have a mistake in him now and again, but is, in the main, very dependable. Wouldn't want to lose him in closed season, unless silly money!

07 Apr 2026 11:39:34
I concur, Bright & JR. He was my man of the match, and he goes often unnoticed during many games, which is always a good thing for a defender; if we're talking about a defender, it's because of the mistakes they make.

That was one bias ref. Awful performance. Looked like he was nearly in tears when he had to give us a penalty (clear penalty) and disallow their illegal goals. Many many confusing decisions. I watched the full game replay. And at 80 min noticed there was still over hour and half left of coverage so I knew what was coming.

Yet more goals shipped in injury time.
On the balance of it we got what we deserved. A win. But they will have Summerville back last game.
Also hope Stach not too bad.
Will not go into performance and tactics cause it was a game that didn’t matter. Oh
Except Perri. Wtf? Some good saves but atrocious decision making in open play.

Agree3 Disagree0

06 Apr 2026 20:21:29
Ausman 2, agreed, mate, maybe it's a Leeds thing that got up their nose, or just unlucky, but think it is poor refereeing, as VAR, they all need glasses.

05 Apr 2026 23:16:58
It seemed beyond ridiculous that Stach came back on when BA was stripped and ready. Medical team have got to be more decisive in these situations. Hopefully it is not season ending.

Saying that, how Gruev keeps getting time ahead of AO and even Longstaff is puzzling.

Would be the polite description.

Agree2 Disagree0

06 Apr 2026 09:21:01
To be fair, Class, in my opinion, steadied the midfield. He came on at a time when WH was overrunning our midfield, and that essentially stopped, and we got back the ascendancy.

AO is a better player, but he drifts in and out of games. Gruev, in my opinion, gives a better whole game contribution.

06 Apr 2026 10:55:11
Game of opinions, Ani. Personally, would have preferred Longstaff. Gruev's set-piece delivery was awful yesterday, but he's an honest player and always gives of his best, and will put a challenge in.

In fairness, substitutions were very timely when we had inexplicably retreated. Ba won the penalty, and I thought Willy did pretty well, just a shame his back heel didn't go in.

05 Apr 2026 19:50:42
Can only be Leeds United who just do it the hard way.

05 Apr 2026 21:34:38
Even with a neutral venue we get drawn 'away' lol.

05 Apr 2026 18:38:54
Pascal too scared to put his head in?

05 Apr 2026 19:38:56
Get in Jack Sparrow. 🤍💛💙 Up The Whites Down The Pints!

{Ed025's Note - and well deserved Adrenalin, the officials tried their best to cheat you out of it but it didn,t work in the end, 11 bloody minutes of extra time.. where did that come from?, and their second goal...if thats not dangerously high then i dont know what is mate...im made up for you..

05 Apr 2026 19:55:49
And it's a Leeds vs Chelsea semi final, as I predicted yesterday.

Bring it on.

05 Apr 2026 19:51:48
100% spot on ED025! Cheers for that 👍

Absolutely buzzing to have deservedly got through

So pleased for the lads

And so evident that Tanaka must start every game from now on.we were so much better when he was on pitch.

{Ed025's Note - the only worry Baz is that took a lot out of the lads and you have some massive games ahead mate, also you picked up a few injuries and that has to be worry as well..

05 Apr 2026 20:19:58
Nine days to next Leeds game, though, should be enough recovery time, surely.

{Ed025's Note - depends on the injuries and the recovery time i suppose mate..

05 Apr 2026 20:26:42
Wouldn't want any players rushed back for Man U away, would prefer to give extra rest with games against Wolves, Bournemouth and Burnley.

05 Apr 2026 20:31:53
Indeed Lad, agreed.

05 Apr 2026 20:33:10
That was an agonising watch! Even though I just knew West Ham would get back in it, it was a dagger to the heart when they did. I am a traditionalist. I don't like the semis at Wembley, but on reflection I'm happy we're getting the opportunity to be there; it probably did drive us on.

I think the draw is fair enough, and I think we have a reasonable chance. If we did get to the final and we didn't lose to Southampton, I think the losers enter European qualifying rounds?

05 Apr 2026 20:36:55
Glad you thought their 2nd goal should've been chalked off Ed. I could almost accepted it if he hadn't given a free kick for a near identical event earlier in the game. We fans keep criticising refs for inconcistency, but they never learn.

{Ed025's Note - its given in nearly every case JR, i thought it was poor especially after VAR has a look at it mate, if that had cost you i would be livid..

05 Apr 2026 20:56:10
Not sure I want to get into European competitions at this stage, I don't think we have the squad for it, and I believe it would bring our SCR spend limit down from 85% to 70% of football-related revenue.

05 Apr 2026 21:36:12
Don't believe losers get in. Think if winners are already qualified, it goes to next placed league team.
So we may as well win it then.

05 Apr 2026 22:06:36
Brilliant that we should get through,
imo we deserved it,
we played really well, and that performance should be a go to
.... But WTf*** ..11 mins.

{Ed025's Note - blatant cheating if you ask me RTG..

05 Apr 2026 18:32:11
We have got to be the most frustrating team to support in the world.

Agree9 Disagree0

05 Apr 2026 20:35:46
I don't know about frustrating.. It's certainly exhausting. My Fitbit picked up a 30 minute workout based on my heart rate!

{Ed025's Note - love it Ani..

05 Apr 2026 22:15:46
We are Leeds!!

05 Apr 2026 17:53:48
How do I get on approved list to live post.

{Ed033's Note - Melbourne white added.
