Not a great result yesterday but a draw is better tan a loss, one or two players fatigued or allowing personal disappointment from the internationals taking the edge out of their more recent performances. Missing Gruev and Gnonto for me was the main reason we didn’t come away with the three points, Cooper becomes the whipping boy whether he plays or not, I don’t think he was the main reason we didn’t win and is a bit unfair.

On a more positive note Joseph’s goal could make the difference in the end and I’m loving more and more his contributions.

Ipswich for me will lose some games in their very lucky non injury affected season, I watched their game yesterday and they were rubbish in the second half and that game should have been a draw with that disallowed goal.
On the other hand Leicester can’t seem to get the ball in the net, a lot of chances but no luck for them but great for us.

Jimmy’s goal was just sublime.
Onwards and upwards.

OP "I'm loving more and more his contributions" - as previously advised by me and Bermuda. Try increasing his game involvement from 6 minutes plus injury time to 36 minutes plus injury time. The boy is a beast. Listen to George and Bermuda.

Absolutely OP that game much more difficult than the haters made out. Watford rejuvenated under a new manager, we have key players returning from injury or injured which affected our momentum and also had players who were part of gruelling full tilt playoff games with extra time just days before. Not to mention the disappointment which would affect anyone's focus. Very good point and on to the next.

Yes op we have seen a few curlers like that from cree and I say that was the best I've seen.
A very disjointed performance from Leeds as I feared it might be after the internationals. Could not hold on to the ball in the first no real interplay between our attackers.
The Dennis goal in my opinion was a good goal but up against amps or rodon he may not of had the time to control it and chop inside.
So that was the streaky draw over with on to hull.

Business end of the season, everyone who plays us their manager often says “it was our best performance of the season”

Really, deep down everyone knows the international break decimated our team selection and performance.

Don’t get the Cooper hatred, did he have a poor game yes, but then so did eight or nine others, and DJ was equally but understandably poor, but hardly anything is said, but the mark of a side that’s together fighting was coming away with a very well earned point when we are way below our normal level.

Hopefully, two days of rest will result in a stronger performance against Hull, where I’m hoping our supporters will help carry us to a win.

Still unbeaten in 2024 which is simply incredible, now more than ever the supporters must stick with the team, (ALL players wearing the shirt) I still firmly believe we can be promoted as champions so many twists and turns remain this season.

I’m loving being part of the equation to be honest.

Class Regarding Cooper, it's not hatred, more fan frustration. About to be April 2024. He shouldn't be at the club anymore. He's just not good enough. It's not he had a bad one-off game, it's the pattern or frequency of his bad games which over the last few seasons is around 1 in 2 or at best 2 in 5. Wouldn't even have him on the bench anymore.

Excellent posts lads; all of ‘em! Nowt to add to those, as it sums up yesterday perfectly!

30 Mar 2024 10:02:00
Well said Class. none of us would have turned down the chance to be in the mix in April after the start we had.

Personally, I fully expected us to lose last night. The international break was, unfortunately timed and as it turned out, particularly harsh on us. We are usually awful on Good Friday [13 defeats in the last 17] and we were undone in the last promotion failure [2019, Wigan at home]. Watford with a new manager [granted, it happens often] bounce were well up for it.

If we are being honest, all the top 4 were well off it yesterday and none played anything like they have been; Ipswich had the rub of the green yesterday [and we did to an extent].

I was very happy to get a draw; plus one unexpected point for me.

Cooper, for those of us, who see the world with both of our eyes, didn't do too bad last night, certainly, not our worse performer by any stretch; yes, he's past his best, but still does a job and often scores vital goals, as he has done again this season. Funny how no one brings up Byram losing possession and being out of position for the first goal or Rodon turning his back on the shot for the second, just the usual "Cooper is [shouldn't be] in the team" comment.

Ani Cooper "often scores vital goals" ????????. His average goal return is 1 per season. Last goal opening day 8 months ago.

30 Mar 2024 11:24:24
Cooper has nearly played this season, it wasn’t a surprise that he was a little rusty. Unlike Lucky Ipswich we’ve several injuries, Struijk being a long term injury which hasn't helped us.
Cooper if he gets a bit more game time and up to speed can do a job for us if needed.
It’s fair to say that he won’t be playing in the Premiership if we make it.

30 Mar 2024 11:46:09
Yes George. to save a first match of the season defeat?

and the season before that, to secure a win against Bournemouth.

and to secure an away draw v Brentford and a win v Brentford

In fact, he has scored 11 goals that have directly resulted in a win or to secure a draw, that we wouldn't have had.

In fact, as a defender he has scored more than any other defender we have had whilst he has been at the club, as well as many of our midfield.

Don't let facts get in the way George ?.

30 Mar 2024 12:22:43
Debating about Cooper scoring a few goals. jeez

Should he be playing for Leeds United in 2024.hell no.

30 Mar 2024 12:58:23
. and yet Baz, you continue complain about the lack of goals from our defence and midfield.

30 Mar 2024 13:14:26
Ani How many seasons has LOL been at LUFC? Oh wait, this his debut season. Just forget the facts of 2014. Mustn't let them get in the way. So it's not a decade of seasons, 11 goals. We didn't buy him from Chesterfield but some Italian supergiant in August 2023. Facts. You're right! He's an 11 goal per season central defender extraordinaire. Facts. Not in the way. See later, Gunnar Halle.

30 Mar 2024 13:24:42
Oh dear George…he’s scored many more goals than 11. The 11 are those that resulted in winning points directly down to him.

Keep up… I.

30 Mar 2024 13:30:44
Yes Ani . but one goal a season Calamity Cooper isn't cutting it on the goals front. jeez . so silly.

30 Mar 2024 14:40:03
Ani According to official statistics he's scored 11. Also, why even quote his goal tally? Does Bamford, Joseph, Summerville, Gnonto, James, Rutter and Piroe leave you feeling "where are the goals coming from"? If so, please find me one person in Leeds who thinks our firepower is insufficient. Good luck, Mr Halle.

30 Mar 2024 15:30:47
Cooper has scored 11 goals (* Ani not ' many more than 11' ) for Leeds over a lot of seasons .

Some of those goals are in games Leeds have LOST Brighton, Man U . so not ' vital goals Ani .

So Ani telling even more porkie pies / making clangers .

30 Mar 2024 15:36:44
Baz Gonner Clanger Gunnar Halle. ?.

30 Mar 2024 15:47:33
George Add in porkie pies ?.

30 Mar 2024 16:14:52
