Right gents, we are looking good with the final run in upon us, so here’s a question for you all, and remember everybody’s opinion matters and should be posted without fear of ridicule! ……. Fingers crossed we get promoted to The Premiership, so what players do you keep (sentiment not allowed) and what players go? Then what positions need improvement and who do we go for? Every poster on here is good at this sort of question and every poster has a different answer, so let’s make this a friendly debate showing respect for everyone’s answers please, and Baz this is not a competition to get one over on OP! OP’s posts are bloody good and relevant just like Brighty’s, George’s, Mezzers’s, Berms, Ani’s, Alfs and etc etc, so behave young man. There is not one of us better than the other on here, and Baz you don’t need to be bitchy to get people to read your posts as they are great to read without it, you have a wealth of great knowledge about Leeds just like George and you are Leeds through and through, banter is great but dick measuring or point scoring isn’t. Get those brains thinking boys, 2024/ 25 back in the premiership, who lines up for our first game? MOT ??.

Well….
In all honesty I think this team as it is, is good enough to stay up and I think as is we are stronger than a good 4-7 premiership teams.
Strengthening I think we have to make Rodon a perminanat buy. Maybe a left back as is firpo good enough for prem? Certainly a right back, I love Archie but he is the weak point in our team at right back and teams do target him… put him in cm where he will fly (although others in that position are good also great)
Think James deserves chance in prem, Jimmy, rutter, gnoto are all great.
Maybe sell bamford and get a striker? Bit harsh maybe but might be needed as bamford is great but a bit formy and can Prirllo make step up
But trust farke and don’t think we are far off being safe in prem.

Have wrote about Uzun before on here. He will be world class one day, but he's a proper talent already.

but honestly the past 2 R fodder Leeds United seasons in particular made it difficult to SINCERELY agree with some of the more rose tinted optimistic posts.

Good post mate, I agree with a lot of that Berm, dead wood needs to go like the likes of Cooper, Baby Shacks, etc then Firpo, Bamford, Byram and maybe Piroe, but that’s up for debate. 3 x defenders with a left back and right back included in that. A proven playmaker goal scorer in midfield then in addition to Matteo Joseph and Georginio we need 2 x proven attackers / strikers. We need a team that can not only secure a position in the Premiership but put a platform down for the next season and then keep growing from there, possible 3/ 4 years and qualifying for Europe could be a possibility, it’s all possible with the right application throughout our club. ??.

Mmmmmm?if we can keep our best players possible not sure our current manager can keep us there his record not that good in PL plus investment will be needed with out could be short lived.

DF, didn't have the players to keep Norwich up, not his fault imho
Same Bielsa, just didn't have enough players with quality, did well with what he had.
It's not like they were underperforming under Bielsa,
Similar now with DF.
What we have or keep needs supplementing with 6,7,8 top quality players.

Not sure if you saw my response earlier this week Whiteman, but there was a massive reason DF didn't succeed in the EPL. He was given next to F all money to create an EPL worthy team. You keep harping on about this same point but not addressing the very legitimate reason as to why he didn't have success. It wasn't because he's not capable.

Fing is peeps, fing is, it ain't just about who what et Al. To be successful you Have to have unity, a spirit a will. This is Farkes genius, as it was the mighty Bielsa's. They have created a winning environment, energised a club, a city and importantly individuals. This is so rare in modern football. The family is all. Its mind blowing. Who believed this could be possible at the get go? Everything is blossoming in the garden and it's down to the spade work. We are Leeds, we will prevail have No doubt. Rejoice and support our club like only we can x.

Dillinger what make you sure he’s going to get any from ours, and then look at all the money they got going up and down up and down, just because he’s doing ok now look at the post above they have us needing seven players we be lucky to get two, look at Bielsa house paint with his face legend’s for thousands and thousands, got us up no money given down we come them what do you get crap manager unbelievable records show facts he doesn’t have a good one . But like most on here what do I know sweet fa. ?.

Good post Whiteman, it’s not about what you know our don’t know, it’s about opinions and if that’s yours then own it! I asked the question because I’m interested in what you lads think. I was speaking to my mates yesterday and they think Leeds should get rid of Farke and go all out money wise and get Bielsa back or even go for Jose M, I mean WTF but it’s their opinion and I respect that. The answer will be next season if we get promoted and I genuinely hope Farke does a good job, maybe he has got something to prove of in his eye’s unfinished business, either way it can only be good for Leeds. Just remember we must be doing ok if we are debating this subject so happy days and just remember your opinion is always valued no matter how whacky it is. ??.

Woody thanks, at this point I am very happy the team are doing excellent but for the future we will all have to see. we can all hope that thing will work out in our favour after all we are LEEDS UTD.

For me, I would keep all of the first 11 with the exception of Firpo, who, tho he has delivered as has been asked of him this season, is not defensively up to it in the PL, plus the regular subs we know.
To go: Joffy, Coops, Byram, Darlow, Ayling, Perkins, Shacks, Gyabi, Greenwood, Sini, Bate, Poveda, Hjelde, Drameh, Heuvel, Monteiro, Harrison, Roca, Wober, Llorente, Koch, Aaronsen, Rasmus K. Sign Rodon and Roberts.
McFadden and Moore promoted to seniors. (Don’t know enough about others)
Those sales and releases / out of contract players frees up a huge amount of weekly wedge for frees AND cash signings. Nice!
Caveat; yes, I know some are out of contract and leaving anyway.

It’s going to be very hard to sort the loan mess out as a lot of them either don’t want to come back or we don’t want them! My thinking is in line with yours and I would love us to get a striker similar to Toney, and a solid left and right back, other than that I think we could hold our own in the Prem. ??.
