Just read on the Athletic that Leeds are paying 22 mill for Rasmus. Surely that's incorrect?
Then again it says that the fee is for an "attacker".

1.) 07 Jun 2022 09:55:39
Saw similar article Cork, but added the double than expected figure included salary and all transfer fees

He’s played wingback as well as full back but attacker is stretching it too far.

On a side note how can Everton be linked with players this transfer window? EPL are a joke, gawd knows what Burnley fans think of them getting away with grossly exaggerated FFP accounts.

2.) 07 Jun 2022 10:40:18
Saw a breakdown which suggested the fee was £10m, with the rest being salary over 5 yrs, so roughly £40k per week? Not done the maths, but sounds about right! ??.

3.) 07 Jun 2022 11:33:18
Might mean Adamu if they mentioned a striker from RB Salzburg.

30 Aug 2021 19:52:16
Dan James 25 million!

1.) 30 Aug 2021 20:02:22
I hope not, could have got Nandez for that kind of money.

{Ed014's Note - I’ve just read £30 million, more like £30 he’s a speed merchant and nothing more.

2.) 30 Aug 2021 20:14:56
100% confirmed Corky? Toffees were trying. to hijack at 11th hour supposedly.

3.) 30 Aug 2021 20:22:43
If this goes ahead, ripped off again, no better than what we have.

{Ed014's Note - that’s a nuts fee!

4.) 31 Aug 2021 07:14:58
On good another winger!

01 Oct 2018 21:17:10
Gonna make a prediction. Leeds will buy back Lewis Cook in the not to distant future.
Ok I've had a few but it will happen!

1.) 02 Oct 2018 10:54:01
I'm going to make a prediction too cork. I'm going to get ruined tonight in Las Americas.

2.) 02 Oct 2018 15:17:43
I’m going to make a prediction, Martyn is right! Have a good one!

3.) 02 Oct 2018 17:37:11
Oh you made it Martyn 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Great to hear mate, watch the game in Linekers then hit Veronica’s for a late night boogie?

4.) 02 Oct 2018 17:37:12
Think spurs will outbid us on cook

Milner will sign on a free.

5.) 02 Oct 2018 18:51:30
Don't do veronica, s class. Too many whipper snappers their to push me patience if ya dig me drift 😉 I'll stick to Buzz bar and bulls head it keeps me out of bother.

6.) 02 Oct 2018 21:13:08
Me too Martyn that was tongue firmly in cheek!
Have a great time mate 👍.

25 Sep 2018 21:26:50
Just had a bit of a ding dong with a fellow Leeds fan. He says we under achieved under O'Leary. I say the opposite.
My point was how many of that team would of got in to the Man United team?
Woodgate Ferdinand and Viduka were my opinion. Maybe Gary Kelly.
That team done well imo just a shame things went tits up.

1.) 25 Sep 2018 23:37:50
I personally love that thing, getting to the champions league semi finals is great with the team we had. Tremendous heart. But we underachieved in the fact we didn't win anything, which we probably could've.

2.) 26 Sep 2018 00:26:39
What about dacourt.

3.) 26 Sep 2018 00:29:13
Oh yea and Alan Smith. Oh yea he did get on the man u team. Then there's paul Robinson and radebe who man u tried to buy.

4.) 26 Sep 2018 08:26:28
Dacourt wouldn’t of gotten in above Keane or Scholes and Smith was only a bit part player there. Can’t believe I forgot about Radebe though!

5.) 26 Sep 2018 10:27:04
Sorry Cork ya mate was correct!

6.) 26 Sep 2018 12:35:21
I think we overachieved in the European Cup, but definitely underachieved in all the other competitions, even the League Cup woulda been nice :)

7.) 26 Sep 2018 13:28:56
Ok it would of been nice to win a domestic cup competition but in all honesty we weren’t quite at the level needed for the big trophies although only two or three signings short.
They were great times and I reckon we’re going to see em again soon enough!

8.) 27 Sep 2018 22:31:11
Bowyer was immense in Europe the shining light in that team. Also viduka.

9.) 28 Sep 2018 00:30:42
Don't forget Dom Matteo who scored that goal at the San Siro.

10.) 28 Sep 2018 19:17:10
Harry Kewell.

11.) 29 Sep 2018 14:48:05
Corky We certainly didn't overachieve. If anything, we more underachieved because at the peak of our powers we were a game for anyone. Looking back, one of the errors I believe O'leary made was the underuse of Robbie Keane who was a greater goal threat than Smith.

12.) 01 Oct 2018 11:45:40
Grayson, don't mention the Kboy ;)

13.) 01 Oct 2018 17:40:13
I now he left under a cloud but he was a bit special.

06 Aug 2018 21:30:32
Woods from Brentford is arriving apparently.
Great but if the word is true.

1.) 06 Aug 2018 22:46:57
Would be sensational if true. We'd have some team and bench. I'm still hoping Maddison as well and Kalas but trying not to be greedy.

2.) 06 Aug 2018 23:23:51
Hope you are right, if so we are set for central midfield with Woods, Forshaw, Klich, Baker and Phillips. As I see it it would be Woods and Forshaw first choice if the deal happens and when Forshaw is back from injury. Klich has a massive chance to make midfield his own tho after that performance.

3.) 07 Aug 2018 11:29:17
With Forshaw out for 6 weeks who's to say he will get back in the team? :)

Anyone watch or listen to Under the Cosh?
Very entertaining podcast. Likes of Kilgallon, Robbie Blake and my all time fav Leeds player John Sheridan. Some great stories from all. Really interesting and funny tales are told.
Other players from all around the leagues also make for a great listen.

01 Jun 2022 18:41:47
Who would you like to keep out of Phillips or Raph If one was to go this summer?
It's a tough one.

1.) 01 Jun 2022 19:51:30
Heart says keep Phillips head says keep Raphinia

And that’s based on Phillips’s role being critical for Bielsa, where as Marsch more circumspect in approach and think Phillips would have far easier, progressive role at other clubs E. g. Citeh.

But under Bielsa….

Phillips playing we had 41.3% win rate
Phillips not playing we had 26.7% win rate

With Marsch way of playing, I don’t see that being similar stats, so critical.

2.) 01 Jun 2022 20:45:52
I would say Raphini because he submitted a request to leave, hopefully we I’ll get a replacement just as good or better. Still let’s hope both stays.

3.) 01 Jun 2022 21:07:59
Raphinha definitely ( logical reasoning from Class as to. why )

4.) 01 Jun 2022 22:22:43
If one has to go, then it should be Roberts . no wait Cooper, no wait Firpo - keep both rapha and phillips. I'm sure the 49's will invest more.

5.) 01 Jun 2022 22:39:52
The Leicester model of selling one of your best players to fund more incoming didn’t really work for Villa and their sale of Grealish.
Keep KP, keep Raphinha, make a statement that we are serious with the inclusion of two or three quality players this summer.

31 May 2022 21:22:38
You haven't done your annual poster of the season poll.
Any reason why?
Surely not because you were a naughty boy and got suspended? 🤣.

1.) 01 Jun 2022 02:36:14
Corky Didn't do it last year either in view of the c. v. Unsure how appropriate it is for me to run the contest in light of my recent suspension and run ins with certain posters.

2.) 01 Jun 2022 05:07:34
I will start.

3.) 01 Jun 2022 05:45:54
My selection would be:
1. Cluey
2. Baz
3. Class.

4.) 01 Jun 2022 07:54:39
1. Brighty
2. Woody
3. George.

5.) 01 Jun 2022 08:24:15
1. Class
2. Brighty
3. OP
4. Alf.

6.) 01 Jun 2022 09:33:59
A tough decision to be made on young Cody, he obviously doesn’t want to be kept hanging around for game time and insists that he would rather be transferred to satisfy his desire to play, I’m sure that’s even if it’s in the Championship.
The problem for Marsch is, is he good enough already for the Prem?
Dremah would have to understand if he does play for us he can’t be given a free card to play all the time even if his game is not up to the standard required.
Every player has to prove himself for selection to the first team.
The problem is also, we could be losing a potentially very good RB if he goes!

Best poster’s for me are;

There are several others I like, even George and Baz contribute some very good posts, when they want to. Alf put in some very good posts towards the end of season.

7.) 01 Jun 2022 10:55:09
Sometimes don't agree with their points but OP and Class are up there

George, Brighty too

Woody the most passionate

But said it earlier this season the best poster in terms of logic (nearly everytime ) and knowledge is CLU.

8.) 01 Jun 2022 11:20:49

Special awards for Baz and George. (Lifetime contribution awards, or somat similar)
Martyn for posting “again” over ten times.
And to be honest, everyone else too, because this site keeps me entertained every day, and I’m just glad we are all together.
And a rememberance award to Villa Dave. Gone too soon.

9.) 01 Jun 2022 11:27:12
Alf and cluey and Cork. sorry, I’d posted that on a whim. Also top, top posters on here, and I don’t think the site would be the same without you! Dilli posts some good stuff, as does Mally, dougie, and Richie. , can I not just list everyone!?

10.) 01 Jun 2022 18:39:17

11.) 01 Jun 2022 19:23:21
Clueless +OP for me 👍👍 well researched always, even if it does get on my Bristol's some of the times 🤣.

12.) 01 Jun 2022 22:27:18
For me, it’s Class, Woody, OP, Brighty and Alf (despite our lengthy disagreements at times) . But then everyone makes a valid contribution (and many of you guys have been doing so for far longer than me) and if we all agreed all the time, it’d be a duller place. It’d just be great if, next season, we could resist the occasional urge to be such a tosser about each other.

And as Brighty said, good to remember Villa Dave. RIP Dave.

13.) 01 Jun 2022 22:58:32
Ooh tough one. I love all of you really. I like the way Bright, woody, axe and OP are shining lights with their optimism, Clues well reasoned posts, Chris Chris and Baz, George and his odd humour, Hess, Cork, class, Leo, Martyn the list just goes on. Has to be a tie for me (sorry I know its a cop out) - I just can't choose we all make this site what it is and we need continued contributions from everyone to keep it great.

29 May 2022 19:16:26
Gutted for Huddersfield. As I'm not from Yorkshire I don't have that hatred of other local teams. Shame for Corberon and Tom Lees.

1.) 29 May 2022 23:46:24
Cork You obviously don't understand Yorkshire if that's your assessment. I'd have preferred the dog 🐶 botherers too.

2.) 30 May 2022 08:52:24
Hatred too strong a word but generally speaking many Yorkshire clubs are “disliked” by Leeds fans. Actually has me thinking why Yorkshire clubs compared to Lancashire clubs have such a poor trophy record?
Don’t bite my head off!

3.) 30 May 2022 11:49:31
As I said, I have no time for the doggie touchers, but wanted them to go up, purely for CC, who I have a great respect for, and hope to see manage us one day. What he has achieved is nowt short of miraculous. I will always want to beat every single Yorkshire team we play, but do like to see them be successful to counter the Lancashire, midlands, London, Scottish and Welsh mobs!

28 May 2022 23:37:47
It's a cruel game sometimes. The Pool really unlucky tonight.

1.) 29 May 2022 08:23:49
I’m not sure about unlucky, keepers get paid too and that was a very dubious offside against Benzema.

2.) 29 May 2022 10:02:48
I thought Liverpool were poor last night. Way below their usual standard sadly.

3.) 29 May 2022 10:34:51
Dubious offside? I think he was offside twice, in the initial build up plus the one given.
I also think Vini was off side for the goal but didn't see a VAR view to confirm.
Courtois had a great game and there was no luck in that.

4.) 29 May 2022 16:54:07
Canada - I think there may have been some debate to be had over Benzema being offside prior to putting it in the net, but yes, I felt he WAS offside earlier in the move. Was also surprised there wasn’t more scrutiny of the Vini goal.

45 50 or 55 million don’t matter a jolt if the cash ain’t reinvested. Personally I think 50 is about bang on for Phillips considering his position on field and his injury record. going to miss the lad though as he’s a very good player and an even better man.

I’d accept Rowe and 30-35 million. Unfortunately can’t see Arsenal selling the lad.

Struijk needs to step up after a poor season. The lad has bundle’s of talent and really needs a good pre season as I think he’s a confidence player.

Like the idea of Gilmour and Gallagher plus 20.
Maybe even Pulicic and 20?
