Raphinha. What a player. Hope he gets the Balon Dor especially as I've got €120 on at 12/ 1 and Leeds get extra millions if he wins it. Not to mention an extra 10 million if Barcelona win the champions league.

CORKWHITE1

1.) 30 Apr 2025 23:47:49
Great bet Corky re Ballon D'Or ; 96% sure he will win it.

2.) 01 May 2025 01:23:31
Don't believe we have a clause for Balon D'Or. Champions League yes apparently is there though.

3.) 01 May 2025 08:18:21
Leeds 25 mill extra if Raph bags the d'or.

4.) 01 May 2025 10:49:09
25 million! if Raph wins Ballon D'or ? . your source Chrissy?

5.) 03 May 2025 23:39:17
Nah it's not as much of that but both clauses exist. Think maybe 10m Dor and £20m Champs league or similar.

6.) 04 May 2025 10:01:43
Those figures look more plausible Cuppa.

03 Mar 2025 22:11:42
Rasmus looking like getting a permanent transfer. Didn't get the 10-12 we were looking for but 6-8.
Eight million would be unbelievable.
To me he's literally worth 3-5.

CORKWHITE1

1.) 04 Mar 2025 15:43:27
I would agree CORK! 3-5 pounds.

2.) 04 Mar 2025 20:56:37
Well the value of a player decreases over the length of a contract anyway so 6-8 is probably all his contract is worth. Unless of course value goes up due to performance which is unlikely in this case.

3.) 05 Mar 2025 13:21:22
So how much is RK being sold for?
£ 7 million?

4.) 05 Mar 2025 17:19:11
Reportedly we will save £8m in wages should the deal go thro!

20 Aug 2024 09:57:47
Looks like the fee for Rutter was 25 million and the 10 million add ons were not met. No sell on clause either apparently?

CORKWHITE1

1.) 20 Aug 2024 11:25:43
Do we still have to pay Hoffenheim their cut? Because if we do, we've just been taken to the cleaners to lose our best player.

2.) 20 Aug 2024 12:28:52
Seem to remember when first reported the fee was only £23.5m plus the add ons. Reports say we owe £4.2m still for some of the adds ons that weren't met.

If that's the case we paid somewhere around £27.7m best case or £29.2m if the initial fee was £25m.

3.) 20 Aug 2024 12:31:19
I should have said the fee Leeds paid was 25 mill!
No sell on clause which is great. Nice profit on the player.

4.) 20 Aug 2024 14:45:33
Indeed cork. More dosh in their pockets.

5.) 20 Aug 2024 15:26:23
That's good news then. Pocketed enough profit to buy a player or two outright.

Leeds should scout the academies and pick up an up and coming bargain.

6.) 20 Aug 2024 16:38:29
probably scout our own academy and pick up a freebie there.

01 Jul 2024 12:31:14
Rodon coming back to Leeds!
You hear me Baz?

CORKWHITE1

1.) 01 Jul 2024 13:06:03
Well IF so . Good news for Leeds . Happy to have got this one not quite correct ?.

2.) 01 Jul 2024 13:09:24
I'm hearing the same Corky.

3.) 01 Jul 2024 14:12:00
Fine details eh Baz, he either signs or he doesn’t, so you have a one in two chance of being right or wrong, you got it wrong, but in your eyes ? “Happy to not get this one not quite correct” what a balloon ? ?.

4.) 01 Jul 2024 14:37:03
Woody yes not quite correct lol ?.

08 Aug 2023 22:15:33
Have a feeling a new signing will be announced tomorrow and probably two.
Who wants a BABYSHAM!

10 May 2025 23:59:01
Just watched an interview with our former owner Radz.
It reminded me of good times.
Ok everything went south in the end but I won't/ can't forget everything he did at Leeds.
Apart from the Wilko and OLeary days this era was the best I've ever known as a Leeds supporter.
I know lots of fans have a different opinion on this but to me I look back and remember the great football played and after sixteen games years of nothing getting the respect we, Leeds United, should always have.
It's time now to create a new chapter.

CORKWHITE1

1.) 11 May 2025 04:38:14
Yes Corky

Great football 2018 to 2022 all down to one man Marcelo Bielsa

LUFC greats Don Revie, Jimmy Armfield, Howard Wilkinson, DOL, Bielsa and now Farkey with Champo winning promotion dines in this company.

2.) 11 May 2025 08:27:11
I’m with you Cork, this period was the start of another revival for the club which we are now benefiting from. And let’s not forget, Bielsa didn’t just arrive at the club with his bucket on the 36 bus! The board made the decision to go and get him! It’s a journey and Now we’ve got another opportunity to keep building At the start of this period the club was selling half season tickets!

3.) 11 May 2025 08:45:12
The "good times Managers" list there Baz. A little mention for King Billy as well, so unlucky to lose a Play Off Final and FA Cup Final in the same season.

4.) 11 May 2025 11:27:50
Indeed LUFC very good call.

5.) 11 May 2025 15:19:05
Remember the good times like last season where we broke all the records?

6.) 11 May 2025 15:56:04
Loved Billy's team. So unlucky we didn't go up. Everything could have panned out so differently.

09 May 2025 21:22:33
Wober. 12 million
Struick. 15
Mezz. 8
Aaronson. 12
Geldhart. 3
Five players who could fetch 50 million?
Shame to let Pascal go but he'd be a good sale for PSR.
The others wouldn't be missed even though I have a soft spot for Joe.
50 million gets potentially two top EPL players if the scouting is right.
We need quality more than quantity imo. I'd rather 8 new players for 160 million than say 12 players for the same.

CORKWHITE1

1.) 09 May 2025 23:37:13
A fair assessment Cork. I would let Struick go too. We can't have decisions made on sentiment.

2.) 09 May 2025 23:27:49
Add Matteo to that Spanish club that were rumoured to be in for him for about £10m? There's 60m.

3.) 10 May 2025 00:30:06
Keep wober. Good enough if not injured.

4.) 10 May 2025 08:32:47
I'd agree with those figures Cork, don't think they'd be too far out.

Might be able to add a few more if we manage to offload Harrison. Also, are Gyabi and Greenwood still on our books? None of them will bring in a fortune but it all adds up.

5.) 10 May 2025 09:36:37
Gyabi and Greenwood both LUFC players. Both entering the last year of their contracts.

6.) 10 May 2025 10:14:57
For once, we don't need to sell to buy. I would keep one of Pasc or Wober purely for strength in depth, which is vital. You're not going to replace either at those prices, so pointless selling both. Hoping Debayo will cover for the one who leaves. I don't wanna see us go down the tiny squad route!
I'd expect marginally more for Mes and Joffy, and token fees for Darko and Sam.

7.) 10 May 2025 11:26:09
Cork, Keep pascal, he’s Leeds through and through. Sell Wober. He buggered off once we got relegated, as did BA. Sell him too. Although we would likely get a pittance for what we paid for him.

8.) 10 May 2025 12:29:35
Wober better than struik. More savvy.

9.) 10 May 2025 13:21:57
I say get rid of both, along with all those who didn't want to play for Leeds after Relegation. Pascal and Wober both not good enough plus Both Play more cards in the medical room more than football on the field.

10.) 10 May 2025 14:13:59
He’s slower than me Aus and will get ripped to shreds, although pascal isn’t lightning, he’s Leeds and gets a few goals from set pieces.

11.) 10 May 2025 15:21:20
I forgot about Harrison. Add another 10 million!

12.) 10 May 2025 15:36:16
I wouldn’t mind keeping Pascal CnJ but if a big bid 15 plus comes in I can see him going as PSR wise the sale would help. We going to sell a good few first teamers I believe.

13.) 10 May 2025 19:59:22
If we get a bid of 15 or more for pascal then I agree with you cork.

14.) 10 May 2025 23:09:43
Everyone agrees with me eventually mate ?.

15.) 11 May 2025 06:26:17
Im not sure selling most of a title winning team is a good thing. It’s the word team that defines a successful Squad of players and even though there are not that many PL standard players in our squad, if you break that up completely you might be looking for trouble.
I can imagine four or five new players coming in but not all will be starters, some will have to work their way into the team.
Remember as well Farke does not like to work with a big squad and that appears to work for him and gets the best out of his players.

16.) 11 May 2025 08:11:56
I agree OP…. a team, our team is better than the sum of the parts.

Even Baz argues this team has much better players than Bielsa’s, so why can’t they emulate their achievements?

07 May 2025 23:17:57
Everton Palace Hammers Betis and BARCELONA are all interested in Firpo?!
Paper talk most likely but the question is should Leeds try and renew his contract?
The lad has been exceptional last two seasons but was pony in EPL last time out defending.
Has he improved? Is he worth a new contract even as a utility player?
Seeing we have so many holes to fill and if the contract is fair I'd seriously think about keeping him on.
Personally he was probably my favourite player this season but I'm still unsure.

CORKWHITE1

1.) 08 May 2025 02:01:04
Pretty sure it will be betis. Don’t think he will stay in England. If he was going to he would resign for us. A Warmer climate easier league beckons. Good luck to the guy. Been brilliant as you say.

2.) 08 May 2025 02:52:34
Not a chance any of those EPL clubs or Barcelona are interested in Firpo ( pure clickbait )

Betis possibly BUT Firpos wage demands are probably a problem for them hence no deal announced

Bottom line Firpo for past 4 seasons at Leeds including 2 in lower level Champo remains a defensive liability first and foremost playing at LB .

we need far better; let him see out remaining weeks of contract and then adios Junior .

3.) 08 May 2025 06:25:53
We did offer him a new contract.

4.) 08 May 2025 07:54:48
As usual Baz, your assessment is totally out of kilter with the real world! He's had two solid seasons in the champo, and delivered both defensively and going forwardb exactly what Farke requires from his full backs. He's been a real asset this season particularly, and by and large, the concensus is that he was robbed of his place in the team of the season. I wish him all the best, and am grateful for his vital contribution to this year's success.

5.) 08 May 2025 08:36:47
The Spanish press are pretty sure he is returning to Betis, but that was fuelled again by Ampadu on the bus! I think the role in the championship has suited him and he has increasingly been given license to roam with great success. But defence isn’t his strongest suit and the premiership will require a change of approach and or player! I’m sure we’ll be looking for a different left back!

6.) 08 May 2025 08:41:50
Absolutely agree with Brighty. Firpo has been outstanding for the past 2 season, and whatever he decides for his next adventure I wish him well.

There can't be a coincidence that under previous managers he has performed poorer than he has under Farke's tenure.

I see similarities to the improvements that both Summerville and Rutter produced in Farke's first season, against their performances pre-Farke.
(I am not saying he improves all players, some are good anyway, but there have been significant improvements in a few players under hus stewardship)

7.) 08 May 2025 10:11:42
Need better than firpo granted good season, but not good enough defensively for me.

8.) 08 May 2025 12:38:45
In the PL Firpo struggled all round, the pace of it, defending and he had a poor injury record. But, fair play to him, he has done really well over the last two seasons, especially this one. I agree with offering him a contract, but it has to be a sensible one for the Club. If he goes, all the best to him. Makes you wonder if he missed the Plymouth game with a move in the offing.

9.) 08 May 2025 12:40:52
100% agree Brighty. Completely disagree with Baz.

10.) 08 May 2025 14:07:10
Most do most of the time mid.

11.) 08 May 2025 14:20:30
MG you want Firpo at LB then in EPL? .

12.) 08 May 2025 14:30:32
I agreed with Brighty’s post and disagreed with yours Baz.

Go back and read them again.

13.) 08 May 2025 17:48:37
Didn’t his partner post somewhere on promotion, “see you next season…we’re in the Premier League…. ”.

14.) 13 May 2025 17:32:14
Nothing changes on this site Baz ???‍♂️??‍♂️.

05 May 2025 19:21:29
I tell you what's great is that there were quite a few players who could have won POY.
Rodon Bogle Firpo Tanaka Solomon and James where all players who crossed my mind.
A proper team effort.
Who was it said it would be impossible to replace the goals and assists of Summerville and Rutter? How's tricks Baz? ?.

CORKWHITE1

1.) 05 May 2025 21:38:18
Err Corky are you mistakenly inferring that I said so lol

As I can assurs you I certainly never said so!

Come on Corky!

MY correct prediction on Sept 1st 2024 that Leeds would finish Champo Championes thus season is 100% evidence that we definitely would replace Summerville and Rutters Goals and assists.

2.) 05 May 2025 21:49:14
Com’on Baz, you said we couldn’t win in January because we didn’t buy anyone! Who were we replacing then?

Baznesia!

3.) 05 May 2025 22:06:03
No Ani I did not say that!

What I did state is that Leeds should be looking in Jan window

1) for a better keeper than Calamity Mes

and

2) a proper CAM to replace BA

By doing so it would ENSURE Leeds would be Champo Champions

Number 2 gk Darlow at least replaced Mes thankfully just in time for us to restart winning ( 6 wins in final 7 games compared to a floundering 1 win in previous 6 games)

for Leeds to be crowned Champo Champs by a mere whisker on Goal difference!

Dem be de facts Ani fella!

4.) 06 May 2025 04:34:27
You did say that Baz, but you also said about a 100 alternate and counter claims!

5.) 06 May 2025 07:07:11
Baz you’ve pretty much got everything wrong this season like most. Don’t worry we all know the truth even though you try to wriggle your way out with very poor excuses ??.

6.) 06 May 2025 08:36:08
Baz spent the whole season slagging us and farke off he then said we’d finish top to cover himself. He got called out then and is getting called out now.

It’s honestly embarrassing and I feel sorry for him. Maybe we should all give baz a break and give him the time and space I honestly think he may need.

Anyone of sound mental health would just say they got it wrong, I was speaking with a member of this forum on social media and we both said the same thing. We honestly are concerned so reaching out if you ever need to speak with someone baz.

7.) 06 May 2025 12:23:31
Gonner Ani. a 100 . lol.

8.) 06 May 2025 20:38:16
Thing is Baz. I make my predictions and own them. I don't pretend they didn't exist. Oh, and i usually make them before the outcome is known.

Let's not forget your great claims.

Rodon would never sign for a championship club.

Farke will be gone by Christmas

Leif Davis would smash the EPL

We should send Solomon back to the Spuds

etc

Baznesia!

9.) 06 May 2025 22:19:38
??? Bang to rights, but not man enough to own a single one! Happy to tell others to go and have a beer, when he needs a bath in the stuff and a bottle by the sink instead of mouthwash!

10.) 07 May 2025 00:52:50
Gonner Ani to correct you
Yes Rodon signed for biggest club by far in this seasons Champo. Leeds essentially arguably an EPL club in size and stature

I said Farkey would be gone in summer ( esp if he bottled promotion again)

Never said LD would " smash" the EPL. but he had record assists in Champo. my point. and we gave him away.

Solomon ( somehow) proved me wrong. he miraculously transformed from a pernnial sicknote to stay fit most of season. well done Manor.

11.) 07 May 2025 05:10:07
Let’s get some meat on the facts Baz, Solomon missed a large part of last season due to a difficult miniscus tear, season before that he had a separate knee injury that sidelined him for seventeen games.
Thats it, unfortunate but not your highly over exaggerated perennially injured player.
Definitely not a sick note player as you perveyed him to be, instead he became distinctly the most important and influential player that was brought into the club last summer.
A player who you completely dismissed as a waste of money and time.
Sadly you were not alone in your poor judgment.

12.) 07 May 2025 06:44:37
Err here's some facts for you to chew on OP.

Manor Solomon before playing for Leeds had played just over 160
matches in 8 years ( averaging 20 a season)

He may or may not be a perennial sicknote but his appearances career stats are definitely very unimpressive fella!

13.) 07 May 2025 06:53:12
Nsh OP

Joe Rodon ( spelt with an O) who was signed permo last season was far MORE vital, important and influential than Manor was. we would have conceded far more without him esp with our gk

and we literally had no one to replace Rodon!

Whereas we had a plethora of wingers to replace Solomon.

14.) 07 May 2025 12:10:19
Untrue Baz you’ve been reading the Beezer again chap.

15.) 07 May 2025 13:20:46
Untrue? How? At least try to back it up lol.

16.) 07 May 2025 16:54:35
I laid the facts out which I found on Transfermarkt, where’s your info from? That’s right the Beezer!

17.) 08 May 2025 08:08:23
Beezer: The ill informed, poor man's Beano! ???.

03 May 2025 22:37:49
A bit corny I know but congratulations to Burnley.
An unbelievable defensive record and then in the last quarter of the season started banging in the goals.
Shame they going straight back down!

CORKWHITE1

1.) 03 May 2025 23:33:03
I was watching some pundits (can't remember which ones, it was on YouTube) and they were licking Burnley's arse, obviously gutted that Leeds won while trying to appear impartial, and one of the commentators said "it's a shame they'll only last one season in the premier league"

? ? ? ? ?

Keep seething, pal. We are Leeds United and we are top of the League!

2.) 04 May 2025 06:42:01
Yes Heard loads saying what Burnley have done to reach 100 points is amazing! Hello Leeds also reached 100 points and scored way more goals. People forgetting the 0-0 exciting draws Burnley trotted out. Plus we bettered the 3 teams that came down from the premiership .

3.) 04 May 2025 06:48:59
Burnley too good for Champo

but nowhere near good enough for EPL in 23/ 24 and likely not so next season either.

They may also lose out of contract Brownhill who has scored so many goals for the Dingles this season.

We definitely need goalscoring midfielders in EPL.

4.) 04 May 2025 08:00:09
Not corney cork I agree.

Of course I wanted wall in the playoff ms and would love them in the prem however part of me wanted. Burnely to win as they didn’t deserve to lose
Mr hey was great just we are better.

5.) 04 May 2025 12:20:51
Neither Leeds or Burnley were one trick ponies; Leeds highest scorers and second meanest defence. Burnley third highest scorers and meanest defence. 1st and 2nd lowest defeats and 1st and 2nd clean sheets. Both very deserving of the promotion in my view and both would have been worthy winners of the title.

I think both are very capable of making a fist of it next season.

I have a sneaky feeling Coventry might go up with 17 defeats in the Champo - beggars belief really, but then again the Blunts lost more than a quarter of their games.

I kinda agree Alf but what number 10 could we have got or were even in for? Hamer is a CM who’s actually been playing on the left this season and the Hungarian guy is a wide attacker.
Maybe Gnonto is the answer as I can see him scoring double figures this season from that position, probably twice as many as Rutter managed last season.

15 mill for Mezz? Snap whoever’s hands off.
And Lewis Cook to be our number 10? What’s he scored and assisted last few years? Maybe 5 in total?! Good player but definitely not a number 10.
As for Milner, no thanks. Great player but too old and consistently injured last two seasons.
Cmon lads we need to think bigger otherwise we’re back playing QPR again.

Baz mate you are so wrong on this one.
Ampadu is quality.
Unfortunately he’s not played enough in the midfield role last two seasons but once he gets a run there his qualities will shine.
The lad has got almost every attribute to be a top performer and imo could play for almost any top half premiership side.
I’m actually amazed we managed to keep hold of him after last season.

I wouldn’t mind keeping Pascal CnJ but if a big bid 15 plus comes in I can see him going as PSR wise the sale would help. We going to sell a good few first teamers I believe.

CORKWHITE1
