Early first goal though as ever would be huge

It's a must win . anything less is unacceptable.

Well depends a tad on line up also
Last 2 league matches LUFC STARTING line up have been slow,
ponderous, haven't created that much and what they have created they have failed to convert!
Gio, Cre and Gnonto ( well) under par past 2 games esp Huddersfield game!
Gruev, Gray, Kamara don't score! ever!
Piroe, MJ and possibly DJ will be on bench . etc ?
DJ must start as well as CR .

We need to have a good quick start. Against Huddersfield it was stop start from the start.
Against Chelsea with amps in midfield he drove us forward in the second half. Injected a bit of urgency. I think we missed that the other day.
Hopefully we get ahead in the first 20 mins and go on from there.

Depends if Stoke come to play a game of football or just foul, waste time and break the game up.
Refs must onto teams whose plan is solely to disrupt the game to gain an advantage.
Dishing yellow cards early in the game can be a deterrent.

Given the way we played the other day I just hope that if there is a similar lack of sparkle to our performance that DF will make changes earlier rather than later.
He always seems to be reluctant to make changes anyway so probably not in his nature - what a contrast to Bielsa who was never afraid to hook someone no matter how long was on the clock!
