We were actually signing mes’ praises, penalty save, looking solid, then he does that!
Can hardly comprehend how many points a goalkeeper can cost his team in one season.
Unlike the other two top sides, whose goalkeepers have actually saved points for them this season. Indefensible now.
We had 8 cup finals as of 3pm today, draws don’t count. Lost the first cup final today. Too many bottlers in the team. Farke needs to put up a sign on the home dressing room door saying no bottlers allowed in. How many will walk through the door? Conceding in the 96th minute from our throw in sums it up. Sphincters are twitching.

We were linked with him earlier, but I think he moved to America league.
I quite like the look of Callum styles at WBA. I know we have Schmidt if junior goes, but styles can play left wing back or midfield, he’s actually a Hungarian international and he’s an aggressive player which we could do with. Also gets a few goals. I know I’m getting ahead of myself, but we have to go up this season!

Regarding team selection for tomorrow’s game, I agree with Bri and Aus’ earlier posts yesterday. I would leave BA and Gruev on the bench, and start Rothwell and pascal. We know it’s going to be a physical game, and they’re going to be doing their best to wind up our players with cynical digs etc, and neither are any good with the physical side of the game. They’re both decent players to bring on when we’re winning. One can run around for days, and the other can retain the ball and slow game down. But likely BA is first name on the team sheet.

Aaronson not my kind of player. Ok he runs around loads but his shooting is like a twelve year old and he has little awareness of what’s happening when he receives the ball. However credit where it’s due he does make good runs into the box and has chipped in with a good few goals. Not a EPL player imo and we’ll need better after promotion. Oh and no way is he a number 10. Best suited as a wide attacker who gets up and down and tucks in when necessary.

If we get promoted, we will make bank off of players like Tanaka, Bogle, Piroe, Rothwell (wants to move back darn sarff) and Arranson (MLS I reckon) .
All of them have increased in value and maybe, the 140 million we pocketed is a safety net in case we don't get promoted.

Fantastic result tonight. I’m sure Gruev and tanaka would have been a cert to start against blades next Monday night, but after tonight’s game pascal has to start, Gruev benched. and move ampadu into midfield with tanaka. Rothwell in place of BA, pascal always a threat with set pieces, Rothwell can deliver them. Gruev took every set piece and couldn’t deliver. He’s ok to bring on when we’re winning comfortably, but he is too negative when we need creativity. Magical subs tonight! Fancy us strongly for blades match.

I never noticed in the transfer window we signed a young pat Jennings! Big Des 2 world class saves. Credit where credit’s due. Disappointed we never gave them double figures with all the chances we had. But the main thing is 2-0 win, 5 points in front, created bundles of chances. Great away win.

It’s quite straightforward in as much as, if we didn’t get promoted this season Daniel Farke would have been replaced. But we’ve had a great season, winning the league, so he’s earned his place in the premiership. Got to give him a chance. But Alf you say we talked to 4 maybe 5 other managers, who all turned us down. Tell me in layman’s terms who they were, and their reasons for turning us down.
