This is going to sound strange but I'm quite happy the next 2 games are away from home.

I don't think the lads are handling the pressure of expectations too well at ER for whatever reason. We need an early goal to get the fans going and it's not happening.

Boro won't make the play offs but it is a Yorkshire derby (of sorts) so they will be up for it.

QPR definitely need the points and they have to go for them. I can't see either of them sitting back and trying to hit us on the break, which has worked lately.

Just my thoughts.

50% agree Sheds. I just feel Boro have already dug the foundations for a bus parking lot in their penalty area, and won’t show any ambition at all, except to deny us the 3 points we desperately need.

When they came to Elland rd, it was a pretty full on game until they had a player sent off.
You are right though sheds there is a possibility that the expectation at home at this moment in time is bearing down on the players.
For me now it’s got nowt to do now with rotation and selection. I would say all the players are feeling the pressure and now is the time that they need to overcome their apprehensions and play freely like we were from the beginning of this year to the international break.

This will be down to Farke to get his troops ready to fight for their lives with flair, passion and most of all a great belief and confidence that they can do this.
It’s going to be so close in the end that I seriously believe goal difference will be the decider for automatic promotion.

Hopefully not having Ayling (who has started every game and actually played decently for them) or Greenwood (who’s started 4 of the last 5 games and would have scored the winner v Ipswich but for a fine save by their keeper) will diminish Boro at least a little. Yes, I know, probably grasping at straws a little.

Greenwood should never have been loaned out. Useful player and excellent on corners and scoring from free kicks which we need.

Mskes assists also .

Ailing playing well too would have been useful to keep till end of season.

I'll take the 50% Brighty, thought I might get shot down totally tbh.

OP I'm not sure Farke has a motivational speech in him, at least not in the same vein as say Jim Telfer's to the British Lions before the first test in 1997 (which worked btw) or Alf Ramsay after the Germans equalized in 1966. All Sir Alf said was "you've won it once, now win it again" (that also worked) .

Lurve it 2 Sheds

Post of 2024 ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?.

Who would Greenwood have played instead of Baz? . at the point of his loan rather than now, which would be an easier choice.

In my view, until the last 3-4 games, I don't think he would be picked?

Ani . SG could alternate with GK . and an excellent bench option to bring on.

2 Sheds, I wouldn’t be saying Herr Farke is up there with the likes of Sir Alf, but he must have said something motivational to his Norwich players other than, "just go out there and do yer best", to win the Championship not once but twice, which is undeniably one of the most difficult leagues to win.

OP

DF speech likely: ' Give ball to. Buendia and Pukki '

15 Apr 2024 23:01:20
OP Herr Farke had class acts in a t true genuine CAM in Buendia and a true goalscorer in Pukki

His motivational team talks were merely " give ball to Buendia" ?

Great post again on motivational team talks? by Sir Alf etc 2Sheds.
