Does anyone know if we are allowed to pick any of the returning loanees for the final three games?
Thinking of Cresswell, Shacks and Hjelde as they won't be involved in the play-offs.

I'm going to try (through very gritted teeth) to look on the positive side after today's result - here goes;
We are in the top six
We know we can beat the teams around us
We will go on big unbeaten run in the New Year
We will sign a goalscorer in January (okay, I may be wrong on this one)
We will have a few more days like this before the season is over (hopefully not too many more)
But above all, we will get automatic promotion in May
And now I've 'un-gritted' my teeth, I'm off to the pub!

A win, is a win - how many times have we seen teams around us 'get away' with a last minute winner (remember Ipswich last season - how many times did they get the winning goal in injury time? )
We played well in patches today, looked a little bit off the pace at other times but at the end of the day all it says on the scoreboard is three points to Leeds United!
And most importantly, we are top of the league:)

For a start there's no defensive midfielder, and Bobby Charlton was a midfielder who always played with a striker in front of him and a defensive midfielder behind.
Neville and Cole (and Hansen for that matter) ?
What about Cohen, Wilson, Pearce, McGrain, John Charles or Dave Mackay?
Midfield - Bremner for Gerrard everyday of the week! Duncan Edwards as a holding midfielder, and why pick Bale ahead of Giggs?
Upfront - you need an out and out goalscorer, Lineker or Greavsie?

I know I'm my own worst enemy because I'm watching the England game - why is Harry Kane still playing?
I appreciate the fact that he is our all-time leading goalscorer and has done some great things in an England shirt but everyone has their day, and he's had his.
Too slow when running after the ball, lost control when we where on the break and then gets booked needlessly whilst playing in the position you'd expect to find a central defender.
And the other evening against Greece we were playing well until he came on and started drifting back into midfield and getting in everyone's way, thus allowing the Greeks to run at us with the ball.
Legs have gone I'm afraid Harry, Thomas, it's time to move on when you jump into the hot seat in January.

. but credit to him as he is still scoring HUGE numbers of goals with Bayern and significant numbers with England
It will be a very tough, pretty bold call from Tuchel to move on from Harry just yet.

A very bold call indeed, and one which I doubt will happen but Kane's record in the big championships for England, especially when we get out of the group stages isn't great!
With Watkins up front the other day we had energy from the first minute, not the 50th!

Good question.
Haven't seen anything of Chambers so unfair to comment but have watched Crew a couple of times and been impressed. Certainly like to see him given some game time - would relieve the pressure on the current 13/ 14 players who are playing so many games.
Still a long way to go this season - need to utilise more players whenever possible.
