Orta being touted by Red Bull for their Technical Director of Football role! WOW

He said he is surprised by the interest, and so am I

He also said he does not expect to leave Leeds! Why would do that to us Orta, Why, Why?

Reports from Belgium are that Roofe has completed a switch to Anderlecht on a 3 year deal.
Hopefully we will see some more transfer action with a couple coming in tomorrow. Reports from Inter Milan are that a deal is close for their young CB and Striker, could be very promising!

Congrats Ed001, thoroughly deserved!

Mind you, I still hope they get relegated next season though ;)

{Ed001's Note - erm thanks, I think!}

Sturridge has his contact terminated so a Free Agent!
If Kev is injured, would be worth a look. You can bet, if we don't, someone like WBA will!

1.) 02 Mar 2020 13:18:13
Yeah he'd be Bielsa fit by the end of March.2025! 😂😂.

2.) 02 Mar 2020 14:35:37
10 games to go not worth unsettling squad for.

3.) 02 Mar 2020 15:53:09
He’d sign a short term contract to the end of the season and get injured in two days.

4.) 02 Mar 2020 16:05:57
With a four month ban from football - no thanks.

5.) 02 Mar 2020 16:13:51
Wonder whether he bet on himself getting injured!

6.) 02 Mar 2020 17:02:03
4 month ban, isn't that the sought of players orta signs, ones who can't play for us.

After he cost us against Derby in the playoffs, Beradi should never been allowed to put a Leeds shirt on again.
Here he is again, costing us again.
Get rid now, he is a liability and never been good enough.

1.) 05 Oct 2019 16:19:22
last July there was plenty on here saying same, but as usually happens on here with a good few posters is they call you a moaner and say you are a bit clueless.
Beradi was handy cover a few year back, now we are supposedly in the upper echelons of championship and still he is the go to man of cover amongst the back 4 .
Radz + Victor + Bubs said we didn't need anymore additions to improve the squad, that is going to be proven wrong . Squad ain't strong enough for the championship pace which is a lot quicker + more physical than anywhere else he has managed.

2.) 05 Oct 2019 16:35:50
Speak too quickly. He was set up.

3.) 05 Oct 2019 17:03:46
Set up or not his rep preceeeded him. never good enough been saying that for ages and been called a moaner and questioned if I know more than Mb. again yes I do we need more than two cb. we need need one over six foot.

4.) 05 Oct 2019 17:20:41
hesslian, when the hatchet man came on v baggies the other night i saud to my brother , if this is the sum of our cover then that speaks volumes of the squad we have, so whether it was not a red or not . GB is not good enough now, simple really.

5.) 06 Oct 2019 11:33:15
To be fair, he was excellent when he came on against Brom, tho.

RHC and Alf, are you still in the most negative camp ever that this was a useless transfer window?
I think it’s a great transfer window, whether they are loans or not, we have lost some decent players (Janson, Roofe) , but gained better players (White, Nketiah) , along with the addition of Costa who will be amazing, retaining Harrison for a 2nd season and kept Clarke for the season, plus a better backup keeper who will probably be the first choice very soon, and be the best keeper we have had for a while!
We have a far better team than last year and I think it may be time for you to indulge in some humble pie, maybe a huge piece! Just my opinion though!

Midfield General

1.) 08 Aug 2019 18:54:13
General, the naysayers need to eat the egg off their faces before going to the humble pie desert.

2.) 08 Aug 2019 18:50:34
White better than Jannson remains to be seen And Eddie is not ours what if for some reason he's recalled. Just saying.

3.) 08 Aug 2019 19:07:12
Wex Can't see there being a recall clause in the agreement.

4.) 08 Aug 2019 19:14:23
for me wex it ain't about white better than janson it is janson better than cooper last year we was not good enough at the back and kept the lesser player and sold the better one, i like white for cooper but we needed to keep janson or find a replacement.

cooper has been a main stay for years now and always found wanting why will he be good enough this year. let's not even think about if either one get injured or suspended in which case Bernie who sells burgers in the bremner suite will get a game.

5.) 08 Aug 2019 19:16:38
Wex, not sure whether there is a clause inserted that he can be recalled, but would be very surprised unless we don’t meet the terms of the contract (playing time) , so we should be OK.
I think it’s just about time to stop with the constant negative posts, which generally come from the same people, who will probably never be happy. Time to get behind the team!

6.) 08 Aug 2019 19:20:55
Wex, I used to share the same opinion of loan players, but I do believe that we have strengthened this transfer window and if we go up with this squad, I don't give a rats ass who the players belong to. Villa did it with Abraham, Sheffield Utd had a lot of loanees as they're better players so if we go up, we'll have plenty of money to buy decent replacements for these loaned players.

On another point, I though we had an option to buy Harrison? I hope so as i think he'll have a better season this season and don't want to see his value price us out of a move.

MM.

I'm right behind you General!

Chris x2, Not sure what you are talking about. I am with George and Axe, Radz is bar far the best Chairman we have had in years. Yes I would like a chairman to bring in Neymar and Bale, but it ain’t going to happen, but last year was the best year we have had in terms of performances and results for a long time, and that starts at the top.
Selling Pontus had to happen if he was a bad apple, no matter how good, club comes first! If we land Gayle, Kent and perhaps another CB, will Radz then become a legend?
Cockerney, I would say, if Roofe goes and Gayle comes in, that’s a result!

I hope so Wex, definitely in favour of bringing in some more cash and letting Mbappe get a run out in the English league.

Can’t believe anyone thinks this is anything other than Harte either trying to get more money for his client (and himself) or Spurs making a genuine approach as they see a long term future with him at the club.
Conspiracy theories like the club are pushing him out for money, and his dad knowing the fanatical status of the club are pish.
If he didn’t want to go, he wouldn’t go and would not agree terms. Harte probably looked at his salary, compared to Harrison and thought he could get more for Clarke (doing his job! )
For the record, I don’t believe it’s a good move for the lad, he will progress much faster at Leeds and be worth far more in a year or two than being at Spurs, and in a year or two he would command a starting spot in the PL, that won’t happen for him now, it’s happened for so many (Sam Byron, Lewis Cooke etc etc etc)

You’re right, it’s the first game back, but it is the impact of such a poor result and poor performance from several players that is the biggest problem, doubts set in and other teams may not be as fearful to play us. Too many things wrong about today’s performance; don’t know what to do in the final third, Coopers ability to make a mess of it, Phillips and Costa’s inability to get past the first man when throwing a cross in!
Fingers crossed for the next one that they rectify the problems.
Wish we had got the PPG promotion instead!

This could be very good news, increases our chances of automatic promotion via PPG if the season cannot be completed as normal!

Hi Bern, fair point. I would always opt to finish the league at all costs if possible, and I do think it will, but if for some reason it can’t, I do believe there is a fair argument to call a decision and bae it on whatever the hierarchy deems correct. There are times a game is abandoned and the result stands, so we do see it to a lesser degree occasionally.
I guess I am biased as a Leeds fan, but I also believe both Norwich and Villa do not deserve to be in the Premiership next season.

If the season cannot be finished, then I believe analysis of the games from the start of January should be used to work out points per game for both home and away fixtures.
This would factor in the impact of any players bought or lost in the January transfer window, and any runs clubs were on, either good or bad and goals scored and conceded. I believe this is as close as you can get to a fair outcome to the final league standings, and promotion and relegation should be based on this. Just my opinion but the leagues simply cannot be cancelled.
