It’s getting very close to the end of the season now with about 5 games left to play. One team from Leeds, Leicester and Ipswich is not going to make auto promotion and will have to deal with the lotto play offs.
For me personally it is difficult to read posts that say we already have missed the opportunity to take auto promotion and that it is unlikely we would win the play offs. But i except that others view situations, not only in football but in life generally, differently.
Where we should draw the line is to not try to force our opinions onto others.
Some of us are naturally optimists in life and others that are pesimists and that doesn’t mean realists Baz! and non of us can change that or should try to.

Like I’ve said, “reality” varies by person and predicament. Pessimists use the phrase as justification for negativity, then enjoy the after celebrations of saying they were right if the worst case scenario comes true.

Baz, you are by definition the most unrealistic poster on here. You only crave for us to be like the Leeds of old, back in the Revie days and we all do, but is that not unrealistic of you given where we are right now?

Pessimist = walking around with a grey cloud above your head with a content threat of rain, sleet, snow and thunder. What you need to consider is shelter, an umbrella, but the lightening will likely strike you, even though it's a million to one chance and it struck once before in the same place it will get you.
Optimist = walking round with the sunshine above you, and all you need is Sun cream, a hat shorts. tee shirt and a nice cold one, just a half, but that glass would be plenty as they see it half full.
I like many on here are optimistic that we hope to get automatic, but if we don't we go into the playoffs. If you think about it, we are only 2 games away from that anyway with it being so tight, the old 3 game shoot put. MOT you lovely people, let's bring it home x.

Your’e not wrong there Ed, best season for years, no getting thumped game after game and lots of clean sheets, plus no relegation fight, Moaning on together we’re going to see you lose, La La la La La ??? it’s like OP said, some are pessimistic and some are optimistic, and I’m the latter thankfully ??.
