Is anyone beginning to miss VAR? Think I'm in the early stages of realising that I do.
Or is it just a show of the standard of refereeing we have in the championship?

I try and remain loyal to my sentiments, that being, VAR is ruining the game. But I do concede, it’s my first thought when a decision goes against us. Difference is, 5 seconds after a disallowed goal, you move on and it’s soon forgotten.

I like the idea of var.
Be careful what you wish for.

It never worked for us in the Premiership and it doesn’t work for us without it in the Championship.
That’s normal for us.

OP nothing works for Leeds, that's why we have to do it the hard way and all off our own backs.

Var is truly awful. Don't miss it at all.

It’s rubbish, we never needed it in the first place!
How to eradicate human error spend millions on technology (to line specific pockets) which ruins the natural flow and spectacle of the game, oh and be sure to validate this superior technology…with the same fallible humans?
What have we gained exactly?
And if we’re honest cries of anguish of derision around VAR are no different to the historical angst about the good old fashioned match officials.
Except now we’ve ruined the spectacle of football to placate nobody but the trough eating legislators.
It’s too late now, but it’s the equivalent of grounding Concorde we’ve regressed years!

Another good spot on Class post .

Had VAR been around in the 1975 European Cup Final, we’d probably have had that trophy in our cabinet.
Although VAR is not working properly yet it’s worth remembering how much fans were complaining about about the irregularities and unfairness of referee’s decisions before.
In it’s current situation I suppose it’s a case of which is the better evil?
Hopefully with time they will sort it out, but one thing for sure, even if they do, there will be still a lot of fans who won’t be happy with it.

The formal reason for VAR when introduced was to "remove the contentious issues and correct an obvious referee error. " It's done neither; whilst [as Class eloquently states] at the same time destroyed the flow of the game and the fan experience.
I listened to a 5 live interview with the Dutch guy who developed it and presented it to the footballing bodies back in the day; I don't think I have ever felt so angry towards someone speaking on the Radio! Even he struggled to justify it's need.
