Not a surprise but reassuring that the 49ers are backing Farke to continue next season and hopefully get the job done.
Anyone who is thinking he should be sacked, and there a fair number who have expressed that on here, who would you have takeover from here. If you are dreaming of Graham Potter, dream on.

I agree he should be given the opportunity to have another crack at it.
However. Don’t ponder too long if we start poorly.
Need to be in top three from get go or out by October.
We played some fantastic football at times so that has to be credit to him.
But team selection and game management has got to be questioned.
I’d like him to change to 4-3-3 too. We need a better midfield.

It’s not really surprising he will get another opportunity because Leeds United don’t have the money to pay him off we’ll be lucky to get out of this division within five years let alone next season we’re selling our best assets because we’ve got no money yet we got billionaires in the club, What’s wrong is it Some clubs play by the rules other clubs don’t and get away with it as they’ve set a precedent we should play by the same rules.

Don’t say the words “fantastic football” Aus! The “dour police” will be on to you for not living in the realms of reality!
Seriously tho, good post and response. The players like Farke, and that’s always a good start point. Like Mr Marathe said, he is a “steady hand” with a calm demeanour, which is certainly what was needed at the start of last season!
I do however feel fairly certain that Aus is right about a number of things, but mostly, that if we are not on track (tho I would say end Nov) , he will be out. Fair enough imo.

Every team has a bad spell. Even title winners so don't be too hasty if ours comes at the start. The year will be as much a rebuild as last year tho this time more on our terms, yet a rebuild non the less. With some canny horse trading called for. Let's see what emerges come August and, whatever it is, give it 100%.
Two (or three) in mudfield is a mute point as the middle will see Archie and Amps patrolling the park. If you want to throw a third (AM) in there then go ahead.

Exactly Leodis!
While we do wait to see where, and with who, we will start in August, wouldn’t it also be more entertaining to look forward with a bit of positivity, and constructive debate, rather than living in yesterday, last year, the five seasons before, and even 60-70 years ago, and have “I said so” shoved in our faces time and again, over and over! ??.

They know they have to rebuild and plenty of the to plan and execute it. Not the same as last year.
They can’t use rebuild as an excuse. Whatever league we were bound for a plan and players should have been built long ago.

Come on bright, it’s the same old story re build, execute my god Rambo is just coming. Same old thing wasn’t by the way five years ago it was 16 years we can rebuild this season then next season and the next season ?????.

29 May 2024 10:08:01
Ausman, the plan is we rebuild every season, come on you should know that.

29 May 2024 10:44:48
In a way Whitey, you are right. We do have to rebuild every year, but so does every team. I suppose, as a club, we have stood still for too long. This is probably due to the vast array of owners we have had for the last 30 years, since “Pants down Peter” wrecked the club, and put is into the ultimate free fall.
I suppose all we can hope for is that this rebuild is the start of a sustainable, long term rebuild for the next 50 years rather than a number of five year plans that are solely focused on reselling the club again and again.
