According to TransferMarkt, Leeds have generated just over £54m in sales this summer with Archie, Kamara, Roca etc (they also included the Sinisterra sale of £20m but not sure why as it was last year, so haven’t included that money) .
After the purchases of Rodon and Bogle we still have almost £40m in the kitty to invest, plus if we get £25m for Gnonto, we should be able to buy pretty much anyone we need to win the league, so long as they want to come.
A decent CF, sorry a top drawer CF, winger to replace Gnonto, LB and Sammie from Blackburn and that’s a squad that should not only win the league but be challenging for the cups as well.

Nice bit of dough that.

I agree MG, but think the maths are out a little. Sini was over 20 mil, Archie 40 mil and the others about to around 10, so more 70 mil.
But without splitting hairs I concur with you suggested requirements with an addition of a playmaker. The guy from Blackburn would be good, but still think they will go for the American Ginger Ninja from the canaries, he's a right handful.

Fingers crossed MG:)

I have no idea how much of that money is left over after paying off previous transfer installments?
Also I feel selling Gnonto now would not be a good move in my opinion. He’s a another very young player with bags of potential, for me it’s not always about the money, it’s about building a solid team of players that can perform well in the Premiership and not only have sustainability but the potential to progress further.
You’re not going to obtain that if you keep breaking apart the younger talented players who are growing into that team.

Agree OP. Wouldn't sell anyone now if we don't have to financially. Use the loan market wisely and maybe buy someone for smart money. LB, CF and I think I'd be happy.

Agree Opti dill. The big trick is holding on to them both although dosent look like anywhere near a decent offer for either yet. So maybe they stay.
Nailed it with lb and striker too.
Possibly get rid of the deadwood. You know. Nudge nudge and all that. Still about 3-4 I’d be happy to go.
Firpo not one of them.

Based upon your previous review of Harrison Burrows I would definitely pinch him from Sheffield United. For a top team we have been without a decent set pieces player for too long now, and the lad has very good goals/ assists stats in div one.
We can probably guess that if playing a back four it will most likely be Wober at left back? With Sam Byram as back up for either side at full back, so it seems very unlikely, just hope Burrows doesn’t turn into Leif Davis 2.0 for the blunts.

I concur, don't sell anyone, add some quality and we are up. That backline is proper good, so likely we won't ship many, but a few more goals would be good.

Scoring enough goals to go up will be ( one of ) Leeds achilles heels IF
- they sell CS / or more specifically too late in window to recruit goalscoring replacements
Timing is crucial and Leeds must mot sabotage promotion by it
Ideally
Sell no one else
And
Buy/ Loan a CF, CAM, LB.

A LB who assists and scores a load!
Yes sign that Harrison Burrows lad instead of Blades.
Not another Leif Davis scenario please (. as Class correctly warns of)
At the moment imo Leeds United definitely aren't in any better position to go up than 3 relegated teams.
That's a problem.

Baz, you're underestimating Scott Parker's ability to take the best team in the league and make them play considerably worse than they should ?.

Luton have also lost their talisman in Ross Barkley. Kabore gone back to Citeh. Osho, another regular starter for them has gone.
Sheff United a myriad of off-field issues atm providing a grey cloud of uncertainty (lovely to see) . But they have signed some good players for this level in O'Hare, Moore and Burrows. We've also nicked one of their best players from last season, who was their starting RB. Sounds like Hamer (£20m release clause) and Vinicius Souza are subject to a lot of transfer speculation. No telling how many clauses have been activated for their better players because of relegation. Ownership uncertainty making it more likely players leave until resolved imo.
Like our squad and chances better than all three at present tbh, so have to disagree with you on this mate.

Wilder also a sh! tbag who hasn't impressed anywhere with his coaching in recent years.

Burnley have also lost some regular first teamers in Muric, Taylor, Bruun Larsen and Assignon, whilst Datro Fofana has gone back to Chelsea after his loan.
Sheff have also lost BBD after his loan, Foderingham, Archer, Jebbison, McBurnie and the aforementioned Bogle.
All the related team's squads are weaker after coming down tbh.

Good details Dill
