Morning All,
I haven't posted for a while but am a daily visitor to the site, and of admirer of all our brilliant contributors.
I just wanted to share my thoughts on the departure of Archie Gray, and optimism for the new season.
Firstly, I'm still gutted to lose such a young and talented player. However, it feels so different to the Bates era and days of taking the first offer that comes in. We've let him go knowing it's given us Rodon (a vital acquisition) and should keep us safe from any financial fair play penalties. I'm fairly confident that we will invest in new talent, and the ownership of Elland Road gives me renewed hope. All in all, it's shown good business sense from S49ers and and red bull gang.
On the new season, if we could keep either Summerville and/ or Gnonto, it would be amazing! However, I'd equally be happy if were to sell them for good sums, bringing in decent replacements. We just need to add a bit more experience (Rothwell is a good start) and hit the ground running from day one. I'm expecting and hoping us to challenge for the title.
Things in my personal life have been up and down lately. I'm currently going through a relationship separation which is hard after 20 years of being together. However, supporting Leeds United has always been a constant in my life and is a love that will never fade, never die, and just keeps you going.
Have a good day all.
MOT.

Hang in there Danny. I was dumped after 25 yrs marriage. It’s tough time you are going through but one piece of advice I can give you. Focus on yourself and children and Leeds mate. The good things that bring you joy.

Good post Danny, so sorry to hear that things have been tough, I know it’s a cliche but time is a great healer, and you’ll always have Leeds United and this very dis’s functional banter family ???.

Listen to Aus here Danny there’s always someone who has lived the experience and poor Aus has previously (very bravely) shared he was dumped for a Stoke City fan! Perspective ???.

Tough times Danny! You never know you might look back one day and realise is was the best thing that could’ve happened.
PS. I’ve not posted for ages either, not for the same reason as you though, the missus is still here I’m afraid! ??♂️.

Be honest with you all again. After 4 years my ex realised she had made a mistake and apologised and said she was wrong and would do anything to turn back time and for us to be together. We are still good friends but I declined her earnest attempts to go second time round. Truth be told. I no longer found her attractive or reliable. Good mate yes.
So Danny. It’s bloody hard at first. But as prev said. Focus on you and the good stuff. Don’t waste energy and time trying to persuade a second go. Not the right time now. Or most likely later either.
