some sources hinting at a battle going on between Augustin and Bielsa behind the scenes - Augustin not happy that his fitness levels are being critisised and Bielsa's iron will and standards at the other side. If true, hope Aug sees the light, knuckles down and delivers what we need for the last few games - namely a huge contribution and lots of goals.

1.) 17 Feb 2020 11:57:07
Probably bs from these ' sources'. there is no doubt that JKA arrived not in anyway near peak fitness .

2.) 17 Feb 2020 15:44:46
its not a difficult story for a journo to come up with is it?

3.) 17 Feb 2020 16:02:38
Read that too, but I call cow poo on that report! It was Michael Brown purely speculating, and if I remember correctly, included the phrase Augustin”might be feeling. ” blah blah blah. The guy always has a smile on his face.

4.) 17 Feb 2020 20:17:25
Michael Brown and Noel Whelan . rank mediocre players . stick to ' ' punditry 'on your teams Sheff Utd and Coventry City respectively lads . thanks.

5.) 18 Feb 2020 08:21:53
Yet the player himself has said all the right things on arrival and is fully committed to playing his part when called upon said a source close to myself.

Easy innit?

We’ve sold 110000 shirts this year. At £40 each that equates to £4.5m in sales nitro mention other merchandise. And yet we are still broke. How?

1.) 31 Jan 2020 08:57:22
Paying silly wages for Bamford and Casilla. It’s meant that other team members want parity. The yearly wage for those two and KP amount to £4.5m alone, not to mention Klich costa cooper Dallas Ayling and foreshaw.

2.) 31 Jan 2020 09:57:02
Took the words right off my finger tips Ali!
Add in all of the rest of the paid staff, ER running costs on a daily basis, TA running, upkeep, even running cost of things like ticket offices, merch stores, marketing, grounds men and the myriad of other overhead costs; Football is a loss maker. It’s how much you lose that needs to be managed.

3.) 31 Jan 2020 09:57:57
That said, those shirt sales alone are amazing, and the grey one is our best selling second strip EVER!

4.) 31 Jan 2020 10:52:04
The running costs will not have altered much from previous years unless the rents gone up so the increase in costs must be down to wages. Previous years we have done ok so not sure why we are in such dire straits this season. When you quote £4.5mill then you need to take into account last season Bam was here on same wage so not all extra. kp and Bam maybe a million more than last season. Costa and Kiko on high wages but we did offload over 15 players in summer. Not adding up for me.

5.) 31 Jan 2020 14:17:31
Plus we were told at beginning of summer there was a 20mill fund for loan players so he is not paying their wages. This is Kinnear spin doctor again.

6.) 31 Jan 2020 16:14:52
that's net price btw distribution and costs to take off.

7.) 31 Jan 2020 16:59:33
£40 Alf? Not for. bodyfit there 70 almost double . Big big money generator.

8.) 01 Feb 2020 10:28:18
The vast majority of shirt sales go to the manufacturer, as part of the deal for them to be the manufacturer (clubs are estimated to get 10-15%, though maybe more at the lower leagues) . Admittedly there will be this years shirt deal money coming in and a small boost due to increased sales on last year, but it won’t make a massive difference between the two seasons.

The increased sales will however help us strike a better deal when it comes up for renewal.

{Ed001's Note - clubs do not get a %age except in very rare circumstances apart from the merchant's cut when the sale is through the club's own store.}

24 Jan 2020 15:42:25
Latest striker to be linked is. Jean-Kevin Augustin! 22 years old, standing at a colossal 5ft 8in and contracted to Red Bull Leipzig but currently out on loan at Monaco. He has had limited chances at Monaco only appearing 13 times and scored 12 goals in 42 appearances for Red Bull last season.
This doesn't scream out 'goalscorer' to me but apparently he has great pace so maybe that is a benefit for us.
Ticks Radz boxes for being cheap and might turn out alright so Orta more than happy.

1.) 24 Jan 2020 16:40:32
Just read that. We are desperate for some blistering pace, so if the price is right.

2.) 24 Jan 2020 19:14:50
Read 3 goals in 532 minutes, nearly as prolific as bam bam.

3.) 24 Jan 2020 20:24:34
The boy has skills, and wheels.

23 Jan 2020 19:21:30
Poveda has passed his medical (although with some of our sick note signings I can't imagine what that actually involves - not dying while in with the Doctor presumably) so the deal should go through this evening or tomorrow.

1.) 24 Jan 2020 10:28:51
Apparently only has stress fractures to his tibia so once hip replacements done he is good to go.

22 Jan 2020 09:40:43
Reports today have the Poveda deal back on and looking likely. Negotiations underway from what I gather.

Hope that Philip's is back for the next game. On the plus side we still won and he didn't get any more yellows.

1.) 22 Feb 2020 20:21:33
Agreed. White is a great player, but he’s no Kalvin in that DM role. But, like you say, 3 Pts!

2.) 22 Feb 2020 22:15:40
watched the game and was not impressed and he got 5 out of ten with gohsted by there player before being sloppy in the pass. just saying.

3.) 23 Feb 2020 08:10:50
Apparently just dead calf - similar to Tyro a couple of weeks ago, but apparently less severe, as no crutches after the match.

22 Feb 2020 17:08:40
Pablo son, take a bow. Kiko take a bow.

Did exactly what we needed to today. 3 more in the bag. let's keep this run going boys.

1.) 22 Feb 2020 17:59:58
Too right. Doesn't matter if its 1-0 or 5-0, 3 points the only thing that matters now to get us over the line to the promised land. On to boro next.

Have a great weekend everyone

2.) 22 Feb 2020 19:33:36
Absolutely Alf . the sheer determination of Pablo to get that ball into the net . sheer class. love the guy.

3.) 22 Feb 2020 19:56:17
Totally Vid.

4.) 22 Feb 2020 20:25:37
Had a great game today did our Pabs. Glad he got the goal. Klich needs to borrow his shooting boots!

16 Feb 2020 20:06:13
Great to hear the fans singing Casillas name yesterday. We have the hand that we have accrued now until the end of the season so we might as well make the best o it and do everything we can to push us over the line. I for one will endeavour to avoid negative posts until promotion is done or no longer possible. We need positive vibes people - let's give it to the lads for the next 13 and possibly beyond.

1.) 16 Feb 2020 20:37:04
Post of the decade!

2.) 16 Feb 2020 20:45:51
Agreed Alf . we indeed have the hand that we have accrued. nowt more can be done on that until season is over

. so the fans singing Kikos name and getting behind Kiko and the rest of lads during a game is very wise . its going to help a lot to instil confidence

# confidence
# positive determination MOT.

3.) 16 Feb 2020 20:54:05
Here here.

4.) 16 Feb 2020 21:05:14

8.) 16 Feb 2020 22:06:09
bang right there. My thoughts too.

9.) 16 Feb 2020 22:35:55
There's been quite a lot of talk on here suggesting we could be drinking in the last chance saloon, so it's good to hear a shout out for the pub of positivity.

10.) 16 Feb 2020 22:43:38
Couldn’t agree more Alfonso!

11.) 17 Feb 2020 01:31:46
Sounds like a plan.

Top post Alf lad!

15 Feb 2020 19:31:30
Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes! Fantastic today. I would have settled for 3 points from the last 3 games so to get 4 is fab. What's more, we played really well last 2 games. what's more A CLEAN SHEET! this ain't over yet. COME ON LEEDS!

14 Feb 2020 22:31:21
Camilla hearing due to take place 18/ 19 Feb. Ish. If they can be bothered.

1.) 15 Feb 2020 05:47:15
Is prince Charles attending 😂.

2.) 15 Feb 2020 06:50:09
Alf - do you mean the second wife of the possible future monarch, or some other Camilla?

3.) 15 Feb 2020 07:56:27
At 10:30 on a Friday night, who knows.

Youre not allowed to use foul language in front of the officials. Doing so rightly is a punishable offence.

We are lucky not to be docked points or kicked out of the league.

But stupidity from the ER hierarchy who should know better.

Honestly, using the word 'fair' in relation to the FL - its a fooking disgrace.

completely agree. But extend that to the next 4 games. They are all winnable on paper and vital points that we can accrue to hopefully open up the gap a bit.

Bamford scores every 4 or 5 games usually then doesn't score for a while. He will get a few again maybe in the next game and then not. Just the way he is.
