I know I am getting old, but in my 70 years on this planet I have seen a lot of changes in our beloved game, some good, some bad and some I just can't figure what the change actually brings to the game, my current gripe and yes there have been a few is this stupid goal kick rule, what is it all about and how does it improve the game.

Come on Baz! We never win in blue, never in pink, never on a Wednesday, never when the day ends in a Y, never win when it’s a full moon! I mean, come on Baz, it’s a really smart top and a lot better than the home shirt, although I’m gutted because there’s red on it, but now happy as I will get the blue one. ?
Baz how about we just design a shirt with you in mind, let’s have it black, with grey clouds on and rain falling in the background!, with the words ‘hyperbole’ on the sleeves and the name on the back can be ‘Meldrew’ and of course the shirt number would be 13. ?
Oh and by the way Baz, I’ve heard through the grapevine that Meslier is a regular visitor to your house, partaking in tea and scones, and you read to him the Gary Sprake book of goalkeeping while he throws your balls in the air and practices his punching. He also likes to hear you call him bad names in French ?? so that he knows what it will be like when he’s transferred over there!
I have also heard you are going over there with him because he wants your moral support and more importantly your motivational speaking which he thinks is inspirational! ????.

Err very good Woody you be trying extra hard with da humour fella
Here's a FACT ?to smoke in your waccy baccy pipe though Woody
. Leeds United had blue away shirts past two seasons ; they failed to win a single match in blue. not even one!
As for Meslier he is wack, gash, a liability fella
You trying to compare him to Gary Sprake is just plain silly. Gary Sprake regrettably had some high profile clangers BUT unlike Gashlier he could come for crosses and fricking catch crosses, and he didn't let every near post shot in for gaed sake etc etc etc
Woody we all want Leeds to succeed therefore we really need better than Meslier in goal
. you don't want yet another season Woody where I have to dry your tears of disappointments for you Woody? . bless you young man ☺.

Fitness levels of footballers in the sixties to today is like comparing a toothless drunk in a park to Usian Bolt. In those days players couldn’t jump more than a foot high so keepers catching crosses was like taking candy from a child ?
Gary Sprake was worse than Kiko, you’re living in the very distant past again Baz, I think your memory must be getting quite fuzzy.

Give over OP
Keepers these days are treated like pampered poodles by refs at collecting crosses etc compared to real footie of the 50s60s and 70s
And all of Leeds United players in 50s, 60s and 70s could leap far higher than ' one foot ' fgs silly guff from you OP. the great John Charles, for starters, Joe Jordan, Duncan McKenzie etc etc
And speaking of Leeds United great Duncan McKenzie he jumped over a frigging car ( a mini) at Elland Road.
Maybe best OP you stick to comment just on eras you actually existed lol ?.

Baz that a name from the past McKenzie could jump right over OP head and and he would never know????.

What difference does a shirt colour, an animal picture / colour make to player performances and/ or management tactics, or indeed the same for the opposition. Zero stock. Night, zilch, nada, nishtu. Like the shirt, or don’t. Just don’t add stats to its performance influence! ???.
