Question for forum in particular those posters whom may possibly be in the know. Nudge nudge wink wink know what I mean. Mr Sam Greenwood. Can he be recalled in January? Would we want to do that if we could? He'd take a place on our bench for sure but imo he'd be ahead of PB in pecking order. He'd probably be second sub on after Willy. Also, if we could recall him would that completely prevent the so-called option to purchase? Since it's rumoured to be on low side, isn't this reason enough to implement a possible recall? On current form, he's surely a minimum £5M rated player.

George I very much doubt there is a recall option in January
I said in August it was foolish move to let him go on loan ( and ti a promotion rival) and especially if there is a buy option ( at £1.5 million! )

I believe Sam Greenwood is a season long loan with no cut short.
The feeling among Middlesbrough supporters is that they will make his move permant in January
So best of luck to the lad, as Michael Carrick seems to have found Sam's ideal position (unlike his previous 5 managers)

OP It's not about our first team, it's about our bench. Had Radz not extended PB contract Greenwood would still be here. He's younger, better and cheaper.

Greenwood would be on bench if I was coach . he scores goals a very valuable commodity in any league
Ask yourself this OP. Leeds sign an unproven mediocre ( even at U21s level ) Darko Gyabi for £ 5 million and
Then allow it seems Sam Greenwood who has EPL experience and scores goals makes. assists go for £1.5, million. ??.

Nah OP . this is about DF ( and the ridiculous woeful price tag of £1.5 million ) totally misjudging the ability, effectiveness and usefulness of Greenwood in getting goals and assists in Championship.
