Further to the "mini rebuild" The more I read, the more I worry, with the need to find 73mill by June severely curtailing our ability to afford a marquee signing this summer. As in other windows I fear that our recruitment will be looking at freebies and lower leagues. Bargain basement will be the norm whilst hoping and praying that on the other side of the coin we are scraping every penny from the exit door.
If best laid plans, at all, go awry then we could be carrying a minus through next season.

Lots of dead meat to clip off the bones still Leodis, though I agree with what you’re saying in principle, and it is worrying, should we not go up. I do doubt the figures bandied about, and take them with a spoon of salt. We should all be used to it now tho; been here, done that etc etc. ??.

Luton demonstrated last season that promotion can be achieved by a team ( emphasis team ) of good honest pros with a good coach.

Trouble is they are likely to come straight back down. As are Ipswich. And as we possibly would without significant additions to the squad. A club needs to be ready to go up. The structure needs to be right. I’d rather stay in the championship than be a yoyo club.

Luke Ayling had another good game with Middlesbrough today.
We let him go because he didn't have the legs to keep up with play
Michael Carrick found a way to accommodate Luke
If we are playing Championship football again next season, I think we should be trying to keep him.

If Lèeds are Champo club next season offer Luke Ayling a rolling one year contract . or possibly 2 year contract.

If Middlesbrough's CB's can cover the gap left by Ayling when he pushes forwards, I'm sure ours can.
1 year contract with an option of a 2nd should suit both parties Baz.
