Kelvin sent off yesterday for Wet Spam yesterday. Things not going well for him at the moment. If we go up, would you have him back?

Agree1 Disagree0

18 Feb 2024 09:45:44
I think we have moved on from him
He seems to be struggling! Maybe his lack of football time? Trying too hard to impress?

18 Feb 2024 09:46:45
I’ll be honest, and despite loving the kid to bits, I’d say no. We have a great future with the midfielders we have, all of whom are still quite young (or very young once Archie moves back) . Gruev can be a PL star imo. Kamara is getting every game, and his stats speak for themselves. Amps is a proven leader, and capable in two roles. The Archie, who will be better in MF than at RB where he has been brilliant. And they are the first teasers! Not even mentioned the 21’s and below!

Always a massive fan of KP, but at the moment, I think we are stronger with the midfielders we currently have. I wouldn’t drop Amos, Kamara or Groovy Train for Kalvin at the moment.
Genuinely hope he pulls it around and gets back to his best (and enjoying football again) . and gets in the Euro squad.

Not sure Feath is my honest answer. He looks like a lost soul at the moment - perhaps only a move back to Elland Road would save his career.
Regardless of where he ends up next season he needs proper game time - his talent should not be allowed to go to waste the way it currently is!

18 Feb 2024 10:13:46
No in a word, wouldn't have him back.

Too soon to judge him in a West Ham shirt but seems slower than he was and that was his main weakness already.

Did well for us under Bielsa and there is talent there as we all know but not sure what he offers, slows the game down and if players go past him he can't catch them. Bit like Maguire in that he's good at some things but has a major weakness that makes him a liability.

18 Feb 2024 10:47:58
Quite simply no, KP in his current form is not good enough for Leeds.
Hope he eventually finds his way and his form.

18 Feb 2024 10:57:08
KP went from average championship player to England starter due purely to Bielsa inspired fitness and taught positional sense.
A decent player but we did well to sell him for what we did and hopefully have as good or better already at the club.

18 Feb 2024 10:58:46
Its a no from me, i like him but may be MB got him over performing, Pep mught of tried but realised he is an ok footballer at best, imo he wouldn't be in my euro squad not no doubt Boregate will take him.

18 Feb 2024 11:25:26
KP was very good at Leeds United but injuries, not really playing for almost 2 seasons, leading to fitness and confidence issues havd ruined him. Plus he may have bèen jinxed by Millwall Berm ?.

18 Feb 2024 11:34:22
Class ; Mes was good yesterday. and it does appear that new good gk coaches are improving him.

But that doesn't change what you and others previously stated about him in first half of season and previous 2 seasons not being valid, correct and factual .

It's also easier to be good when Mes has so very little to do each match so far in 2024.

I still think there are some fundamental technical flaws with Illan Baz, positionally he strays and the biggest issue given his height and reach, was high balls into the area.

What I simply stated below, was fair play to the lad, coaches as his confidence to claim several set pieces and corners yesterday, was a much welcome change.

I still don’t believe he is the finished article or of first choice epl standard but credit where it’s due and yesterday showed with the right level of coaching and application he could be the required level?.

18 Feb 2024 12:07:01
Thanks gents, lots of good and fair comments. Personally I think his injury had a big effect on him confidence wise as did his lack of game time at Citeh. If we do get promoted taking him back might work if he has the desire to prove himself again, but the fee would be nowhere near what we sold him for.

18 Feb 2024 12:09:15
Good and fair follow up clarification post Class.
Respect.

18 Feb 2024 12:35:21
Yes and vise versa Baz having quite possibly the worst defense in front him in our entire clubs history.

18 Feb 2024 14:30:42
OP worst defence in Leeds United history? .

Hmm

Ayling, Wober, Cooper, Struick and Firpo . pretty sure you have rated/ even championed each and everyone of those players in your previous posts.

18 Feb 2024 16:30:38
Don't forget the worst RB we ever had
The Maestro Razzy

I will physically vomit if he returns.

18 Feb 2024 17:47:16
I didn’t say the worst players Baz, I said the worst defense guided by that maestro footballing coach Jesse Marsch.
Meslier is a young keeper who is improving all the time, there was no magic wand that was recently waved over his head by these "superior goalkeeping coaches"!? ??‍♂️wtf.

He’s is a very good young keeper who is evolving, he wasn’t crap or gash as you put it and then suddenly an amazingly improved keeper.
Basically you have vastly and unfairly underrated him.

18 Feb 2024 20:33:56
The Maestro Razzy scored a couple of good goals Christopher

and I luved his inspiring caveman like chest thumping

Don't be so harsh Razzy in the top 40 of Leeds United best ever RBs . meep meep.

18 Feb 2024 20:42:10
Mes 'amazingly improved' OP? No just improved

OP one does enjotly your regular contradictory posts ?

So on one hand you state Jesse " Brenty " Marsch coaching is the reason for Leeds bad defence

And yet on the otherhand you dismiss the new quality gk coach Ed Wootten having any impact on Meslier and his recent improved form

Okey dokey ?☠️?.

18 Feb 2024 21:22:28
You do try so very hard to cover up all your backtracking Baz ?? as I’ve said before Baz you are a very comical source of entertainment on this forum.

18 Feb 2024 21:36:01
Baz, put the crack pipe down pal
It's distorting your reality

Razzy is woeful, absolute muck.

18 Feb 2024 21:49:10
Chrissy it was tongue in cheek . l did say top 40 Leeds United RBs ie 40th . in other words worst ever.

Try even naming 20 LUFC right backs in history let alone 39 or 40.

18 Feb 2024 21:50:58
OP ?.
