Much as I enjoy many of the posts on here, I am mightily sick of all the doom mongers who simply cannot give any credit for anything our great club does. Everyone is entitled to their opinion of course but good grief give it a rest. Currently into my 51st year of my Leeds United love affair I cannot fathom the negativity of some of our so called supporters. Every defeat hurts like hell and Arsenal was shocking but every win is special and I would follow my team if they played in the Northern Premier! Anyone who thinks they deserve to win every game can always go and watch Liverpool/ Real Madrid etc.

You've missed the point of why people are pissed off at arsenal. No-one who is mad or upset at the loss is upset because we lost, nobody thought the results would likely go any other way.
there are positive intentions wrapped in their pessimism. Focus on the good and it puts the negative into a positive light.

My first game was aged 7 stood on a Tetley beer crate in the Lowfields/ Scratching Shed corner, and like you I can't abide all the perpetual gloom mongers. We all know the game nowadays is dominated by money, and that we may never get to join the self selected 'elite, but support your team through all the "ups and downs", and "march on together"

Nice Post Staffs ?.
25 Aug 2025 15:50:12
I concur staffs. Some people just like to moan, and it doesn't matter what happens, there always shxx to be found by some. we are in the premier league for goodness sake, try and enjoy the ride at least.

Staffs, I am one who will bemoan a defeat as I’m perfectly entitled to do.
My bloody runs white, as I’m sure yours does.
We all react differently to a victory and a defeat, doesn’t make either wrong or right.
Opinions are like bum holes, we all have 1.
It’s not that we lost to Arsenal, they’re a brilliant team.
It’s the manner of which we lost, we had lost before a ball was kicked ( imo) the 11 picked were not the right 11 and stevie wonder could see that.
I am very much a Farke out as I see a poor man manager, a manager who is too arrogant to be pragmatic and change the way we play or set up.
He in my opinion will take us down.
That doesn’t mean I don’t appreciate the promotion but I feel the championship is his level.
I support Leeds United Not Daniel Farke, players/ managers come and go, my club doesn’t, it’s the only constant.
Saturday was a huge wake the f up call for Farke and the board, recruitment needs to be 10/ 10.
He also needs to show something.
Saturday I saw a team set up to lose with the belief they we going to lose, that’s not acceptable.

If he picks piroe again that shows he is stubborn.

Some people like cider, some lager, some stout, some wine, some spirits
The underlying thing in all that is, all those people like ALCOHOL,
Same here the underlying thing is LEEDS UTD, so anyone having a moan to the Rose tinted crew, is no less a fan than Rose tiniters having another platitude that doesn't materialize to the so called " doom mongers "
Both so called groups have their respective triggers, but 1 thing I never doubt on this forum is that EVERYONE of us love our club
So if you dony like it, don't read it, but don't say anyone is less a fan than opposite view pont crew, because you don't agree with comment.
{Ed025's Note - when you say some people like wine...i think you meant whine Chris.. :)

Longlostfan
He picked Piroe 8 times without scoring a goal and persisted.
He refused to put Rutter in his natural position.
He refused to change Meslier until he was told to by Paraag.
He played the same formation and style (ball go up left) without change and he was found out, many times over the last two seasons.
He's stubborn and won't change.
25 Aug 2025 18:52:51
Parag is clueless too.

MOT. he did all those things - and won the championship. Sounds to me all of his tactics were a great success!
Piroe was Golden Boot.
Fans wanted the best striker in the league playing instead, e. g. Joseph, that worked well - he started with the shirt didn't he?
No one wanted Bogle; Smhidt was who the fans wanted. or was it Spence. or Byram?
Now, he doesn't have Rutter in any position. Note Rutter in his "natural" position has not been a success at Brighton?
He's not playing Mes, and our new keeper is doing a fine job of instilling confidence with the fans!
I would argue he was never found out playing up the left last season since no teams dealt with is and it resulted in 100 points, 95 goals and +65 GD - seems being stubborn worked a treat.
Seems to me, not doing what 99% say here was his best tactic of all.

100% Ani. Well said ?.
25 Aug 2025 20:46:54
Ani,
You're right in what you say, and I don't mean to be negative towards Leeds, or a Leeds player, manager or staff, in any way.
However, while congratulations are in order for Piroe and his golden boot, he went missing for 8 games.
Farke cost us points for not replacing Meslier sooner.
His tactical stubbornness cost us games we should have won.
And we only won the championship with almost the last kick of the game thanks to Solomon. He and Bogle and Firpo kept the team together towards the back end of the window when we wobbled, Sheffield utd fell apart while Burnley gained ground.
It's great for a bit of luck to drop on for Leeds for a change and we did deserve to lift the trophy. But let's not pretend it was plain sailing. 70+ min subs is a meme for a reason.
As I've said before, I appreciate everything Farke has done, but he was hired to get us promoted. He has done that and while the fella deserves a bash at the Prem, if he starts playing silly buggers with stubbornness and late subs, or poor subs, then he should be asked to leave. This is a ruthless league and we need to be ruthless. Not doing so with Marsch got us relegated.
I won't judge Farke (too harshly) until October but he needs to be consistent. We played Everton out of the park then turned into a league 2 side Vs arsenal. Not good enough.

Well said MOT…I appreciate the post.
It seems it’s a common complaint about Leeds managers; stubbornness.
I think it has been levelled at virtually everyone, especially over the last 5 years.
25 Aug 2025 19:35:39
You enjoyed that 1 Ed ??.
25 Aug 2025 23:26:38
Good post Mo.
However lots of strikers go on bad scoring runs. Viduka is a prime example. He scored his goals in clutches but would still get ya 20 odd a season.
26 Aug 2025 09:04:40
Everyone is stubborn if they don't do what you want them to do, or expect them to. It's just a common response these days when there's a disagreement sadly. The fault is with the other person.
