Alf/ LAD - any idea whether the Club is actively looking at the remaining free agent market? No need to name names.

I would hope they are!

So would I Feath. Failure to bring in (at least) one of the decent options out there after the end of the window would be heaping folly upon folly.

I haven't heard anything concrete.

Nothing, does not seem to be a likely option.

Seems the (main members on the) board don't trust Farke and others that do, don’t have enough power. So top chiefs disagreeing on management and not wanting to commit to farke transfers coupled with possible inexperience has lead to this.

As I said I don’t personally think it’s been a great window but I think we’ve got a solid experienced side with internationals that should be capable of keeping us up.

If the main Board members don’t trust Farke, why didn’t they just say thank you Daniel but it’s time we all moved on, then bring in someone they believed they could trust.? The Club being stuck in a halfway house in terms of decisions, with half-hearted recruitment isn’t actually helping anyone. Starting off the new season with an under-strength squad puts the Club on a path for likely relegation, with Farke facing the prospect of being labelled a Prem failure again. Getting in a decent playmaker would help any manager, not just Farke, so why didn’t they at least ensure they did that?

I generally try to be positive about our Club’s prospects, and of course I very much hope that the current squad performs above all our expectations. However, unless our medical team can keep DCL, Nmecha and Okafor fit for most of this season, and Farke (or his supposed replacement if we don’t garner the required points in the next month or so) doesn’t unlock some hithertoo unseen creativity within our current squad, we seem likely to be in for a very difficult and ultimately unsuccessful season.

I can’t help thinking that Farke making it clear right at the beginning of preseason that Bamford, Greenwood, Gelhardt and Gyabi weren’t part of his plans and leaving them training separately can’t have helped us to move them on quickly, or for the best PSR outcomes. All in all, no-one within the Club hierarchy seems to have covered themselves in glory during the transfer window.

If that is correct LAD then that is an utterly ludicrous and playground attitude to take. Either back the guy or get someone you do trust because doing what they are is only going to impact the very soul of Leeds, its supporters the club and the city. Also if they think that by doing this they are going to engineer a situation whereby they can say told you so and justify sacking DF they are lower than a slugs nadger.

They tried to get some1 in the summer, but none of their preferred options wanted to come.

So they didn’t have a choice but to stick with farke but unfortunately don’t want to stick with him enough to back him.
