I'm having a few pounds on Piroe to be a top scorer next season. Possibly getting close to 15 goals. He's scored a few in pre season, looks sharp from what I've seen. Worked hard on his fitness over the summer by the sound of it.

Well I think once we get a no 1 striker in and the way nemencha, as played if you can get your money back I would, he s probably 3rd one in so that’s not bad if you think he ll score 15, because if I did a bet on him it would be to score 5/ 6 goals, and that would be good for player at that level, not nowhere near good enough to start games, and I think will struggle bad this year, like I would put gnonto, and ramazani . In before him totally different sharpness to them and better scoring form, and please don’t let him anywhere near penalties.

Piroe has looked very sharp, very fit, and much, much more mobile. He is clearly very determined to make the most of his shot at the PL and deserves his opportunity. He will prove to be a real asset during the course of the season, I'm sure, so I agree with Koch n' Vid!

I got to be honest he looks so sharp there s a wonder he does nt fall over is self . Seriously gents if you reckon he would be a starter for us your mental we would be straight back down, why do you think we want a top striker in and a ten or another midfielder ten type of guy, he would be going further down pecking order all the time, that’s what’s not making sense to me why they don’t sell him . So if you can see him leading us up top what’s the point us going in for 30 / 50 million pound striker come on lads have a think for your self’s.

Chris, I was one of those people last seez. Main difference with him n Piroe is that Piroe is a proven champ striker who's coming off the back being the leagues top scorer, so full of confidence.

Yes but as you ve just said yourself he s top championship scorer, but it stops there no higher level, he definitely won’t start any games, unless it’s a cup game or in the coke cola league honest ask yourself and don’t be sentimental but do you seriously put him upfront, because of last season, because if you do we be straight back down if that’s what or how high you are thinking of our team, well that’s bad we Leeds and should have the best not the rags.

Without doubt Bright, never suggested JP would be our 9, we absolutely need a banger. But have to say I think he, Willy and Rama are going to be great in the prem.

It seems going by recent comments there’s a lot of posters would like to see Ramazzani in the side, and quite a few would put him in ahead of piroe. Why?
Piroe scored heavily for a poor Swansea team and top scorer for us last season, albeit in the championship, so he definitely deserves a chance in the premiership. To be honest, I can’t comment on our overseas signings, as I don’t know them. I didn’t know Ramazzani when we signed him and heard he had been at man. Utd, so looked up his stats, and it turns out he’s played as many games for man. u as I have. Zero.
He played in the Spanish 2nd division with almeria where he scored 18 goals in 117 appearances. In 4 seasons. They were promoted to La Liga, but finished joint bottom. So I’m interested why put him in the premiership team now, when DF clearly didn’t rate him in the championship. Also JH1965 you say don’t let piroe near penalties, has he missed one for Leeds? He’s scored 11 out of 13 in his career according to the stats.
I obviously hope if Ramazzani is in the side, he bangs in the goals but I’m honestly interested why so many are putting their faith in him now? I think Willy will do good this season, and given support piroe will get a good few goals this season.

Very good and perceptive points C&J, as are all really. Thing is it at this point is conjecture and opinion. If we were talking after say 10 games on the performance in thise 10 games, then fair enough. But we don't know. So, for my penny's worth and purely my opinion. Piroe is a very intelligent player, can pick a pass and has good ball control, he will have more space and time in the prem rather than being assaulted by inferior defenders in the champ, as will DJ, Rama, Willy. He has the attributes to be an asset. Rama is a box of tricks and I believe has a better repertoir than Cree. DJ is just class, end of. Willy could be the one. His potential is enormous. To write players off that have performed for us to date as "not good enough" without them being put to the test is, quite frankly insulting to them. Only time will tell, but peeps, give a chance eh? Add to that the talent we have in AO, Amps, Boges, Rodon, Gruev along with our signings, there is much to like.

The trouble with your 10 game thesis and sticking with what we have is,
If we stick we can't change till Xmas, then as so many on here say, Xmas is total wrong time to buy . The players need to accept this is now about sustaining the club in Prem and not becoming a yo yo club, hence, players need to buy into the squad being key and not just 1st 11

Well Chris, then was then, now is now, wine is more valuable as it matures. All I am saying is give the players the opportunity to showcase what we have, don't judge before we have evidence, have some faith, nothing sentimental, just pragmatic. If you got a job and before you started people said well you're going to be rubbish it wouldn't be fair would it? I stand or fall by what I say and that is fine, feel free to criticise if my belief is shown to be misplaced.

Great point vid. There should be far more protection afforded to our forwards than we got in the championship last season. I agree with your points on piroe, and as I posted before, Willy looked a top player in the premiership first time round. Rama certainly looks a handful and a live wire, but was surprised at his goal stats. Certainly more of a team player than Cree for sure. We definitely need another top forward in, and would be happy if we could get hamer in midfield. I do think with a couple of astute signings added, we will hold our own in the premiership and surprise a few.
