To honour Howard Wilkinson, the 49ers are buying Wilko's and Elland Road will be renamed the 'Wilko-Gray 49ers Stadium, sponsored by Red Bull, funded in part by the San Fransisco 49ers Enterprise Franchise. '
The stadium expansion is just to fit the sign on.

Not sure on the announcement but Lucas Radebe is in town for both home games. Maybe related to him somehow.

If it's to honour Sgt Wilko, then maybe they should change their name from the 49ers to the 92ers.
