MOT News headline……, .

Daniel Farke should be sacked and Nuno Espirito Santo appointed

The German did a good job in the Championship, but before the season even began this time round, concerns were raised over Farke’s record in the Premier League.

Calls were made for him to be sacked after promotion, though Paraag Marathe insisted that Farke would remain in charge.

Farke’s Premier League record

52 games
Seven wins
36 losses
30 points

At the time, it seemed nonsensical, but after Nuno Espirito Santo was sacked at Nottingham Forest, an opportunity of a lifetime has emerged for the Whites.

Ruthless decisions have to be made to secure survival, and it is no different with Farke.

If Nuno were willing to take the job, the 49ers should sack Farke on the spot and bring the former Forest manager to Elland Road.

According to the Daily Mail, Leeds considered hiring Nuno just two years ago, and now could be their chance to strike and secure a massive boost to their survival hopes

?‍♂️?‍♂️?‍♂️?‍♂️.

The Daily Snail, its sports journalists have always enjoyed rubbing controversy and the dirt into our club, they’ve done it for as long as I can remember, especially to rattle the Leeds Utd fan base.
We never made any advances for Nuno before either!

Best ignored all together is my opinion.

Et tu brute? ?‍?.

Hate this farke isn’t good in premier leauge narrative

He never had a chance at Norwich anyone with half a brain can tell that.

Narrative should be record breaking leeds manager has 4 points from nine after difficult start. let the season roll on

Time will tell if farke can do it in the prem with leeds but history proves nothing.

MOT News, your home of everything Leeds, whose Exclusive pundit is, surprise surprise, Paul Robinson. Explains why they stabbed DF in the back I guess.

Completely agree Bermo. Farke may turn out to be a Premier League Manager Maestro, we simply don’t know, all we have to go on is his tenure at Norwich with a squad that cost about £3.80.

Let’s give it a go and if he fails then, we all have the right to question, demand change and criticise.

Nobody has their annual appraisal at work to be told they have done a world class job, to then be fired because someone else has become available, having been sacked from their last job ?‍♂️.

It's been going pair-shaped at Forest for a while now; they have secured 15 points from their last 14 EPL games, so Nuno's return is essentially not as good as Farke's current points per game. [Tongue in Cheek comment].

I wish folks would just give it a rest re changing the manager.

Glad to see Ange back though - he's entertainment, on all fronts.

Think history has been shown to actually prove everything that’s happened in the universe since records began, good and bad.

For myself, I’m not convinced in this situation, with our current squad that Nuno could get anymore out of the team than DF will deliver, given the history with many of the players.

Think it was OP posted, and I would fully agree that should Glasner or Iraola become available, then 100% yes it would be sorry Daniel thanks for everything.

10 Sep 2025 09:48:02
You may have a point re Farke and the history with the players class.
The squad isn’t good enough to survive in my opinion unless we have an A+ January window. So really, Farke is going at some point anyway.
We struggled to find a replacement pre season so with one coming available. It will be being discussed I’m sure. Alf heard any sniffs?

I feel for the Forest fans - replacing a manager who has achieved nothing short of a miracle in the last couple of seasons with one who flatters to deceive every time!

He may have won a European trophy with Spurs but let's face it. perm anyone of half a dozen of the WSL teams and they could have beaten Spurs and Man U for that Mickey Mouse Cup last year.

Time will tell with Farke, and if we are in the mire at Christmas (which I firmly believe we won't be) then, and only then, if Nuno is still around, we should make an approach.

It does happen with some teams that aren’t in the elite bracket do overachieve for a particular season or even two. Forest already started spluttering towards the end of last season and the beginning of this season.
No different from Leicester’s title winning season where everything aligns plus some good fortune.
Ranieri got the sack not long after and clubs were not clamoring over themselves to make him their manager.
With Leicester then sliding down the slippery pole to the Championship.

For me Nuno’s short experience at Spurs explained enough to me that he’s an ok coach but not a brilliant one. Expecting his presence at Leeds to propel us into European football with sustainability is a bit mis guided in my opinion.
A bit of fantasizing if you like.

I don’t expect Farke to stay with us very long even if he avoids relegation, but for the moment he has created a good momentum which would be senseless or even just plain stupid to change right now.

10 Sep 2025 16:10:10
I tend to agree O/ P, he's a decent coach, but is he really a step up on Farke? He did well relatively with Wolves, but that was basically with the Portuguese national team playing for them!

Spurs, he never really got the chance, but generally struggled when he was there.

If anything Forest is a bit of an outlier; for sure he has done well, at least for a decent period, but then so did Steve Cooper. Their form over the last 3 or 4 months has been typical Forest [and long may it continue! ]

Beilsa took us to the brink of Europe with a pretty ordinary team, but no one could have forecast how it went for him, once teams sussed us out.

Ange started off brilliantly, but again once teams suss you out. A really good [top tier] coach adapts or a pretty [lucky] ordinary one can spend their way out.

10 Sep 2025 16:36:05
I have always thought Farke was like a one legged man trying to win an arse kicking contest keeping Norwich up. No investment to have any sort of a chance.

10 Sep 2025 17:49:12
Agree Bermo and Feath, personally I hope Farke proves all his detractors wrong. Some have very short memories to the string of useless managers warming the hot seat at Elland road before and after Bielsa .
Darko Milanic, Dave Hockaday, Uwe Rosler, Javier Gracia, Sam Allardyce. To name a few jems.
Let's beware what you wish for.

And for Farke sake give the guy a chance!

10 Sep 2025 18:36:23
I have liked all of those posts, and have nowt to add! Great thread! That is all. Carry on!

10 Sep 2025 20:11:50
Exactly a one legged man in a kicking contest with a squad worth 3.80 which I think is over pricing it by about 1.65

Yet people want him out and it is due to a phycologic deep rooted bias called second wife syndrome against the man who out classed the first wife beilsa who farke out classed head to head with Norwich and then did better at leeds with a weaker hand

Also anyone read the reports, it’s come out (and is official) company’s house leeds books have stated we were over 250 million in debt from players sales when 49ners took over

Again this can’t be falsified, now a small percentage is under marshe but majority was under Belisa as I said all along. He was backed with time and money and failed now give the better manager farke a chance.

10 Sep 2025 21:03:26
?all we are saying, is give Farke a chance?.

11 Sep 2025 00:18:24
I personally think both managers are similar. Stubborn and one trick ponies. But bielsa was humble and united a city where as Farke isn’t and hasn’t. But anyway. None of that matters really.
It’s all about now. His personality riles me a bit.
But it’s all opinion.
Mine. Rightly or wrongly he will be gone within 4 weeks.
The poster above was right. Only bielsa and Farke have been any good for over 5 years now. We have had crap managers. We just need one to keep us up. Maybe I’m not seeing what others do.
It is going to be very very tough for this squad to stay up. Three of our great signings have picked up injuries in the first three weeks.

11 Sep 2025 13:28:26
Interesting theory Berm! Of course our opinions on MB differ though thise on DF concurand. But I would point out that under the Marsch Monster Leeds spent £146.1 million which is a sizeable sum!
