Hearing a few reports that we are very close to PSR limits - to the extent that we will probably need to sell a major player before June. If this is true it makes our window even better as we managed a decent number of signings on a very limited budget. During the window one of my contacts also mentioned a few times to expect at least one key player being sold. I imagined this would be Amps or Struijk or both so we have arguably done well to keep them both. If it was Struijk it might also explain why we are not really playing our new defenders as yet as we are arguably overstocked in that area. If one or both had been sold that would have generated more income for incomings.

Sounds like PR guff.
Sell a major player? That's Tanaka gone then.

On the contrary Mo. It sounds perfectly feasible to me. The club are not going to send such "PR guff" into the public domain when they know that ACTUAL FINANCIAL ACCOUNTS are going to be available to all and sundry! Now that would be a major PR balls up wouldn't it!?

Sounds plausible to me also Alf, and further supports why they paid up PB and loaned Largie.
Of course as a supporter you want the club to be transparent on these issues but they will rightly counter with, if we admitted our true PSR situation then that may have impacted the signings we’ve made to date.
I still believe 49ers communications are shite at best and they clearly don’t get the importance of
maintaining transparency and trust with the supporters.

Bright, they're not posting financial accounts and telling the fan base they have spent close to PSR when they potentially have money back isn't illegal.
It's PR guff because they ballsed up the end of the window.
If they were right up against PSR they wouldn't have signed JJ or bornauw ahead of another 9 when our strikers are injury prone.

But that would contradict everything praag said going into the the Everton game. Every noise that they have made was to expect signings up until the final day and Farke has also been insistent.
I don't buy that at all.
Also why would they submit a loan deal for Wilson, then submit a bid, for a player that's in the last year of his deal. It all just wreaked of last minute desperation.

they expected sales up to the final day also - one balances out the other.

They have succeeded in making sure they stay within PSR parameters as there was a conversation with the finance people who confirmed we were “squeaky clean” obviously I don’t know how close or far away they was but it clearly was a concern based on the conversation they were having.
Would explain why they tried to loan Emi and Wilson before bidding on Wilson.
So presuming somewhere from £5million in the clear to going over if we paid £15mil for Emi.

With all due respect to Alf posting about the club possibly being at their PSR limit like Bushy said I don't buy that for one second and believe it's a weak excuse to deflect from themselves effing up the window and breaking their own promise to fully back Farke in the way Norwich didn't back Farke in his previous EPL campaigns.
Also even if PSR is anywhere close to being an issue try paying your greedy selves and your greedy investors a little less. No I don't expect them to do that.
They are playing us for fools imo if they expect Leeds fans to believe anything other than it was 100% their own incompetence that has us going into the rest of the season on a wing and a prayer that our injury prone forward line can not only stay fit but also are good enough to come up with the goals required from what looks like will be a limited in EPL quality creativity supply.

Couldn’t have put it better myself CW.
