Well well well.
For anyone thinking Palace can be dragged into a relegation battle, I’d think again. If anything they’re what we should aspire to be!
Big, physical, strong and never give up.
Mateta, €11m in 2022 so there are players out there without trying to buy the ready made article, it’s about the right player profile for the right system.

Totally agree 0123. Look at the players signed from lower leagues, done a job and then sometimes sold on. Olise, Eyze, Wharton. Brentford the same. It isn't always about the big club and the big name.

Pretty much what we're doing right now, I'd say!?!

I agree with you 123, however, would they be the same team without Eze and Guéhi? Even without the obvious talent on the field, would the team still have the same attitude if the team lost its' stars.

Maybe not ani4ni, but they don’t go shooting for unachievable targets and waste half the transfer window chasing.

Not even sure what that's supposed to mean 123?
11 Aug 2025 10:02:11
i don't think I've seen anyone who has said they think Palace will be in a relegation battle.

Hi Aft, I have suggested that Forest and Palace will not do as well this coming season as they did last, simply because of the extra European strain on thin squads. I think Palace will be "upper" lower half of the table, if they keep the Eze and co. I also don't expect Man U and Spurs to be as bad this season either, which distorted last seasons table.
I think we are in the mix [I expect us not to be fighting relegation] with Brentford, Forest, Palace, Everton, Sunderland and West Ham for those places above the bottom three, though it wouldn't surprise me if Brentford were relegated; they have lost top players and a top manager.
My bottom three
Burnley, Wolves and then Brentford. I think we are 14-16th [hopefully].

Agree Ani re: Bee's
Andrews will be gone by Xmas I think, seems a very poor successor.
They will definitely feel a detrimental impact to Franks exit.

dont underestimate Burnley, they have an extremely strong squad, a very good manager with top contacts and have made some excellent transfers.

I hope you’re right Chris about Andrew’s gone by Xmas as that surely would mean Brentford are struggling. Let’s hope Parker, Le Bris, Moyes, Pereira, Silva and maybe another couple are also gone before the new year and DF is sitting smugly in his office!
