I do agree with mers on this one. We have best team in world football. No excuse not to win it! But then I say that every tournament.

If we win anything it will be inspite of Southgate, not because of him. A woeful tactician who's been blessed with a world class squad, yet has failed in our biggest matches due to his poor decisions.

England certainly have more chance of winning Euros than a World Cup.
France will win it though imo
England really blew 2020 Euros . huge advantage of being at home, Southgate negative tactics, nothing special Italy.

Agree that Southgate is too negative. The Italians were there for the taking in the last euros. We needed to push for the win but we managed to snatch defeat from the Jaws of victory.
Our great strong point in this squad is attack. Southgate will set up not to lose.
But I couldn't understand why we did not win something with stevie g lamps and Scholes.
And yes aus I cannot believe Belgium have done better with kdb lukaku hazard etc.

A pretty good and fair assessment Ben.
I really liked that DOL had no fear of playing young players .100% trusted them . great for their confidence and it showed hugely on pitch and results.
