Solomon will be staying at Thorp Arch through the international break to get fit. Will not be away on international duty, as previously thought.
1.) 09 Oct 2024 16:19:25
Absolutely correct decision.
16 Aug 2024 21:19:03
Leeds linked with Hammarby's Jusef Erabi.
Erabi is someone I've seen only a couple of times while watching other players I like, but he's a proper powerful lad with intelligent, anticipatory movement in and around the box. Tenacious presser off the ball. Quality aerial threat and he's a good finisher (24% conversion rate this season. 23% is generally the marker considered as good) . Don't have more notes than that just yet. Money seems a tad overpriced for him atm, though. Would be more comfortable getting him for closer to £5m. Bright future though, for sure, and would be happy to have him at Leeds.
1.) 17 Aug 2024 09:45:12
When do prem name their squads so we can see who we can get. I suggest they have every club on speed dial. Don’t faff around.
2.) 17 Aug 2024 10:02:46
They've given squad numbers out which generally infers who's going to be in the squad (barring those players asking for certain numbers) . After this weekend there will be more certainty. Usually not confirmed until day after the window shuts, so teams work on the basis of the squad numbers and who's picked for the squad on match days.
3.) 17 Aug 2024 21:11:30
Erabi scored again for Hammarby today. Worth keeping an eye on Bazoumana Toure as well. Goal and assist taking the 18 year old to 6g 2a for the season. Someone I'd also be scouting if we're already there watching Erabi. Another kid with a bright future from what little I've seen of him.
4.) 19 Aug 2024 06:30:26
I remember us signing a striker who was smashing it in the the Swedish leagues a few years back, was it Aaronson? (Not BA) . He was hopeless so forgive me for not thinking someone with 7 in 18 isn’t the answer for us.
5.) 19 Aug 2024 08:15:23
Rambo - You might be thinking of Cibicki?
6.) 19 Aug 2024 09:05:06
Sea Biscuit.
7.) 19 Aug 2024 09:27:47
Standards improved a fair bit since then, mate. Allsvenskan, Superliga and Eliteserien are quite competitve nowadays. See a lot of players heading to Belgium, Holland, Germany and France.
Granted the leagues aren't as good as other Euro leagues, but lots of young talent there that's getting game time and experience at a young age.
8.) 19 Aug 2024 09:32:24
Rambo - I reckon your thinking about Marcus Antonsson - went on to have a half decent time back in Sweden, with a standout season in 2022 with 20 goals in 30 games earning him a move to Saudi, where he lasted one season (6 goals in 16) before moving to Oz with Western Sydney for whom he’s got 8 goals and 4 assists in 28 games so far.
9.) 19 Aug 2024 09:37:19
Must have been Cibiki.
20 goals in 83 games in Allsvenskan before he signed for us, so not that great tbh.
10.) 19 Aug 2024 11:10:42
Looks like OP was right actually.
11.) 19 Aug 2024 13:09:17
Wasn’t it Antonson? Ended up going to Blackburn didn’t he? I recall he was a hard working industrious type forward, sadly was unable to score goals.
12.) 19 Aug 2024 17:26:15
Antonsson! That was him, think we paid close to £2m (possibly with Chris Wood money? ) and he wasn’t good! Worked hard but couldn’t score. Cibiki is another one tbf, I’d completely erased him from my memory! Apparently this linked fella’s club want €10m for him, think that would be a mistake even meeting them half way. He may well be decent but it’s a big risk judging players from these leagues.
13.) 19 Aug 2024 17:34:44
That’s be the one Cluey and Class!
14.) 19 Aug 2024 19:18:35
When I watch players, it's more about the player's attributes than what league they're in at a young age. got to determine their assets and their potential to progress. Can't beat getting regular game time at a young age wherever it is, and Scandi teams are great for blooding in young talent. Those leagues tend to be a talent pool Euro teams pick young players up from on a regular basis these days.
Victor Boniface - Leverkusen
Ernest Nuamah - Lyon
Gift Orban - Lyon
Faris Moumbagna - Marseille
Samuel Dahl - Roma
Hugo Larsson - Frankfurt
Lucas Bergvall - Spurs
Isak Hien - Atalanta
To name a handful who have ended up at big European teams in recent years.
Having said that, €10m is a lot for Erabi. Be more comfortable around €5m as he is talented but still raw. I do think he'd be capable of getting goals in the Champo. His profile is not like any striker we've had since probably someone like Viduka. This is not me saying he will be as good as Viduka, just that they share some similar traits (luckily not work ethic) . So for the right price, I'd be happy with the signing.
15.) 20 Aug 2024 16:58:38
Thanks for the info Dill. You really are a modern day Stato ?. Great job as usual pal.
13 Aug 2024 05:57:36
Leeds looking to loan Owen Beck, LB from Liverpool.
Good shout, George.
Would be really happy with this one.
05 Aug 2024 09:36:12
Telegraph reporting Leeds set to offer £7m for Jonathan Rowe. Would be happy with that. Great price and opportunity to damage a rival's first team.
1.) 05 Aug 2024 10:15:33
Contract is up next summer as well, so reports suggest we have the upper hand in negotiating a fee.
2.) 05 Aug 2024 11:57:19
Fingers crossed on that one. Think a few unobtainable add ons will be required to make it possible though!? ???.
3.) 05 Aug 2024 13:06:33
Initial offer knocked back, expected to return with higher offer. Some sources say £15m to get it done.
4.) 05 Aug 2024 13:40:42
Norwich will take us to the cleaners if we want him. A direct replacement for Summerville from a rival chasing us for promotion? That's going to cost us.
That said, just pay the toll. With Gnontos versatility we have a quality winger who can start, cover injury and be an impact sub.
Being able to play three different wingers in varying formations opens up a tactical edge for us. Combine that with MJ/ JP and Rutter upfront, backed by a defensive or offensive midfield and we will be looking solid.
Does Rowe fancy Leeds' chances of promotion of Norwich's? That's the question.
5.) 05 Aug 2024 13:57:15
Can see a deal being done for around £10.5M.
6.) 05 Aug 2024 17:44:11
Dill Wolves reportedly in for him.
7.) 05 Aug 2024 20:45:15
Ffs. Hopefully we can sell him on getting more first team opportunities.
8.) 06 Aug 2024 08:02:53
Dill Wolves may sell Neto in which case he'll get those opportunities there. If we want to get this done, probably best to move fast.
9.) 06 Aug 2024 09:31:59
Fast? Leeds? No comprehende.
10.) 06 Aug 2024 12:25:20
Clock's ticking ⏰️ get it sorted Leeds!
11.) 06 Aug 2024 14:21:54
asking £15m for Rowe so less than we got for SV (possibly) but like George says we may be able to do a deal for less.
23 Jul 2024 14:49:20
Posh chairman has hinted on Talk Sport that Leeds have had a bid accepted for LB Harriosn Burrows.
If he comes to Leeds that would be a massive kick in the stones for Sheff U it'd, who also had a bid accepted.
Massive yes from me. Here's a little report I wrote about Burrows back in June:
"The second Peterborough player on this list, Harrison Burrows would have been available on a free had Posh not exercised their right to a one year contract extension on him. Burrows has a wand of a left peg and he's a proactive left back who enjoys breaking and getting play moving forward. His prudent crossing ability is inviting for attackers and this signing would alleviate some of the fan's that, in hindsight, bemoaned us losing Leif Davis. Burrows has 12 goals and 17 assists in all comps. Defensively he's shown intelligence in his positional sense, managing to block the more direct passing lanes and intercept dangerous balls. His tackling ranks him in the top 80th percentile and he has won 49% of his ground duels this season, which are both respectable numbers for a full back. Suffice to say, Burrows can play both sides of the role. With 12 months left on his contract it's believed £3m would secure his services. "
Great statement of intent if this is true and always good to damage a promotion rival's chances.
1.) 23 Jul 2024 15:27:07
Leeds Live now reporting that our interest in him and Szmodics is "wide of the mark".
2.) 23 Jul 2024 17:56:43
Hope so. I do think he's a decent player, but just wouldn't be a good fit unless we changed our attacking formation. We shouldn't need to if we keep Cry and Georgi.
3.) 23 Jul 2024 18:12:15
Dill,
What would be the best options if we lose Prince and or Willy?
4.) 23 Jul 2024 19:11:47
I really like Rafik Guitane as an inverted winger on the right. Shades of Mahrez about him. Currently at Estoril.
Wrote about Guitane in June:
Guitane has drawn comparisons in his play to Riyad Mahrez from well regarded scouts and plenty of Algerian fans on social media. The inverted right winger has a majestic touch, is press resistant and a cracking dribbler with an innate ability to beat a man in one on one duels. To create openings, he's certainly more inclined to isolate then dribble at the opposition rather than try find a pass, although he does have a solid range of passing. The Algerian international is being looked at by some of Europe's bigger clubs, but a move to Leeds would provide a step up from Estoril, while offering him far more opportunity for regular first team football than becoming a bit-part player in a higher league. Buying Guitane would certainly add a constant threat down our right hand side, and I'm a fan of having an inverted option along with having a natural right-footed right winger in the squad, too. Would give us different looks and impact from the bench having both options available. Guitane's Transfermarkt value is a nominal £3.4m.
I think the obvious ones to potentially replace Cry would be would be Jonathan Rowe or Jack Clarke. I like Alan Minda from Cercle Brugge as well. Plus he's versatile for either wing.
Did a little write up about Minda in June, too:
Minda has shown impressive vertical running, with an innate ability to glide past opponents when he's facing the goal. The directness in his dribbling gives defenders fits. An incisive winger who creates a lot of opportunity for himself and his teammates, he'd be a steal if a deal could be struck with Cercle Brugge. Operating primarily as a right winger, Minda is a versatile asset who can play either wing with relative ease. Personally, I prefer him as an inverted left winger driving into the box as he has the ability to take on fullbacks on the outside or inside, often causing them commitment issues with challenging. Transfermarkt value £3.4m.
Both Guitane and Minda are cut-price choices as well so wouldn't break the bank. I wasn't sure how much money we'd have this summer so looked at these as cheaper options just in case.
5.) 23 Jul 2024 19:31:51
I like the look of Harrison Burrows but it looks like Sheffield United have won the race, if Leeds wanted him then why didn't they put in a bid earlier.
6.) 23 Jul 2024 19:54:04
Playing Devil's advocate here now Dill, the same attacking formation that fell apart when needed most last Seez Dill?
We won't get Smozdics but surely if we did he would have to be an improvement on anything we have in midfield, he was a revelation last seez.
7.) 23 Jul 2024 20:18:54
I read that statement of yours Dill about Harrison and everything you said was spot on about him, even to the point of saying Leeds should go full on for him and again you were right, it now looks like we are hijacking the blunts and their bid! I really like him as I looked at him when you posted about him in June, maybe the powers that be do read your posts Dill, I just hope your scouting fee cheque is the post! lol great post though mate ????.
8.) 23 Jul 2024 21:53:51
Haha touche, Chris. Think that's why we're seeing DF experiment with the 343/ 3421 this pre season. Gives us different looks and allows guys like Cry and Rutter a more free role in the half spaces where they excel.
Szmodics played the false 9 role last season for Blackburn, but always had Dolan or Gallagher up there with him and the three tended to rotate between each other. Blackburn were fundamentally a 'soak up pressure and counter team' last season as well, which we aren't, although we are great when in transition.
One issue I have is he's not really a midfielder and he's not really a striker. Although he is a cracking goalscorer. I mentioned before about last season being a bit serendipitous for him, because Blackburn played to his strengths and he took full advantage of it.
I do think he's a decent player, but where do you shoe horn him in if you don't play those two number 10s behind an attacker? He's not going to be the CF as he's not a focal point and is considerably worse with his back to goal. He does his best work centrally, so the wing is out of the question. Fwiw I'd much rather have him than Piroe. But since we already have Piroe I'd rather not have Szmodics as well. Especially nit for north of £10m when he's turning 29 in September.
Just think it would be hard to replicate even half that success he had at Blackburn without fundamentally changing how we played.
9.) 23 Jul 2024 21:56:05
Holding out hope that we are actually hijacking the deal Woody, mate. Still no word of Burrows' medical being completed after it was supposedly booked the other day. Fingers crossed we can do something and stick it to Wilder again.
10.) 24 Jul 2024 06:25:40
Any updates on the above. Would like to outdo sheff.
11.) 24 Jul 2024 08:21:31
Wildet said last night that should hear something about Burrows in the next 24-48 hours. Seems to be going on forever this medical. Makes me think there is something else going on that's interfering.
12.) 24 Jul 2024 08:44:02
Hopefully we are the fly in the ointment.
13.) 24 Jul 2024 12:30:23
Reportedly Burrows is now at Bramall Lane undergoing his medical.
14.) 24 Jul 2024 13:19:39
Burrows bye bye Dill
Blades paid out.
15.) 24 Jul 2024 14:34:20
Great! not!
16.) 24 Jul 2024 17:02:04
Damn ?
I've been watching another lad who I had on my shortlist for EFL signings article I wrote earlier in the summer. Spent last season in League 1 as well. I think he would be a good signing as LB/ LWB. going to do a little write up in the next few days.
I preferred Burrows for that, but I think he'd still be a cracking little signing.
17.) 25 Jul 2024 03:53:06
Not seen official signing report yet?
18.) 25 Jul 2024 05:37:24
Was in sbeff for medical yesterday. Think it's pretty much done now, Aus ?.

Charlie Cresswell isn't having a great time in Ligue 1. Hasn't performed very well in the games he's started. Own goal. And has now found himself on the bench the last 2 games.
1.) 06 Oct 2024 23:00:16
Bring back Charlie .
2.) 07 Oct 2024 07:56:12
Personally I thought he should have looked for a club aspiring for promotion in League 2, dare I say it even Donny, they might give him a bit of stick at first but he could become a local hero for the club.
It was a big call for him to go to Toulouse, they will struggle to avoid relegation this season also and that will be added pressure on him.
3.) 07 Oct 2024 09:53:45
Surprised Wall didn’t come back for young Charlie on a permanent contract, he is the epitome of the blood and guts centre half they live, and has a goal or two about him from set pieces.
Actually think championship is his maximum level at this time as mobility and ability with the ball at his feet would require significant improvement, to get beyond Championship level.
Lovely lad and heart on his sleeve every game and will have a steady rather meteoric career I believe.
4.) 07 Oct 2024 10:24:51
Wake up OP
Charlie already has plenty of solid experience of battling relegation in top flight football
with Leeds United ?
And any more injuries let alone suspensions is gonner really be a troubling issue for Herr Farke fella.
5.) 07 Oct 2024 10:52:37
Yes Class. Charlie scored 4 or 5 goals from corners for Millwall in 28 matches. Handy.
6.) 07 Oct 2024 14:44:47
His career has already peaked, Baz. Aside from him having limited skill and a clear ceiling, his next move ain't going to be upwards from Toulouse given how things are going.
7.) 07 Oct 2024 16:45:59
Well good job neither OP or Dill were Charlie's agent.
Rather than have their client striving being ambitious on a good salary in a much better league than Leeds are in
OP would have an Eng U21 international playing for Donny in L2 on miniscule wages.
Good one lads
Bottom line. with Leeds injury crisis Charlie would have been very useful at Leeds now.
8.) 07 Oct 2024 19:07:58
It's a good thing you're not Charlie's agent Baz; you would have playing in 25-a-side matches given how many players Leeds should still have in their team and have let go!
9.) 07 Oct 2024 21:16:54
Ani 'dismisser of the Suffolk brigade'
Steady on
Leif Davis and Charlie Cresswell. so just 2
Ideally Max Dean . so 3 in total . not many at all.
10.) 08 Oct 2024 05:08:25
Ahh Baz, I seem to remember you claiming that Leeds should have never let Pablo, Spence, White, Ayling, Kamara, Greenwood, and even Cooper now (see above) go, and that’s only this season! Not forgetting Davis and Cresswell of course.
11.) 08 Oct 2024 07:15:55
I think the truth behind Charlie Cresswell was that he was a young CB with a lot of potential, vying for a place in the strongest defense in the league. Being forth choice CB could not be easy for him and with time his commitment more than likely became more subdued on the training pitch as Farke had openly commented on. Ultimately he lost some of the desire to force his way into the squad.
As a right sided CB when Rodon was actually bought by the club, I think that snuffed out any belief he was ever going to break through.
The desire to leave then became to the front, Millwall were interested apparently but his value was too high for them to make a bid, Toulouse however were able to meet the demands of the club.
It was just unfortunate for him that the competition as a CB currently at Leeds Utd is very high and his quality at this moment in time doesn’t make the grade.
In essence you’ve just got to keep fighting and never give up if he really wanted to play for Leeds, James Debayo who has replaced Cresswell will be in the same position as an aspiring 19 year old CB.
12.) 08 Oct 2024 08:00:49
And Drameh, Perkins, Shackleton, Hjelde….
13.) 08 Oct 2024 14:03:10
Yep a few more yes . some no
Pablo definitely .
Spence . not our player . but his loan ended unnecessarily early
White? . his loan ended . Brighton did not want to sell . so Leeds did not let him go Ani . but sure would be nice to have had him .
Kamara . definitely nope. but right now given our injury crisis. well
Greenwood. more so the possible cheap fee agreement .
Cooper. no . Leeds needed to buy a replacement . esp given now our injury crisis
Drameh lack of game time . he and Leeds relationship were done. right for him to go. shame though
Perkins. just one match . not really fussed he went
Baby Shack? . not fussed at all he went .
Hjelde. LBs aren't easy to recruit.
14.) 08 Oct 2024 14:09:43
OP
competition at CB currently very high?
We only have JR at RCB. then 19.yo Debayo.
15.) 08 Oct 2024 17:29:55
He would not of replaced Rodon, Amps, Struijk or Wöber that’s the left and right. It’s also possible they saw Debayo as an upgrade on Cresswell as one for the future.
16.) 08 Oct 2024 18:22:42
Debayo seems more comfortable on the ball, so fits Farke better.
06 Oct 2024 21:38:19
An issue which is bound to arise in the coming games is yellow card suspensions. Our defenders seem to have been collecting yellow cards this season.
Firpo 4
Rodon 4
Bogle 4
Struijk 3
A fifth yellow before match week 19 sees the player suspended for a game.
Seems nailed on they'll all get the fifth card at some point prior to that (10 games) so bit worrying to see who's available if, worst case scenario, we lose multiple players for the same game.
1.) 06 Oct 2024 22:31:12
Yep Dill, very worrying. Some they have had are were idiotic as well.
2.) 06 Oct 2024 22:49:57
Even more concerning is when they reach 10 yellows they will miss 2 games .
Firpo more cards than clean tackles in his career.
3.) 06 Oct 2024 22:58:44
No problem. Gives others a chance to grasp such as Wober, Debayo and Schmidt.
4.) 07 Oct 2024 06:46:13
Isn't Wober having surgery?
5.) 07 Oct 2024 06:55:50
Problem is if a few get banned for the same game, George. Especially if Wober is still injured.
Backing could look something like
Byram
Struijk
Debayo
Isaac
Not ideal.
Hopefully that doesn't happen and the yellows stagger in game to game so we only miss one player at a time.
6.) 07 Oct 2024 10:30:46
Rely on Wober?
Ha!
What odds on Wober doesn't play for LUFC ever again . recovering from injury, then leaves in Jan . he wanted move to Germany
Cresswell and Cooper leave and no CDs recruited by LUFC in summer is negligent.
7.) 07 Oct 2024 13:22:31
I wouldnmt be surprised if Wober isn't even injured but just doesn't want to play for us. he made his feelings pretty clear in the past and evidently sees the champ as below his level. Very bad apple.
8.) 07 Oct 2024 14:00:49
Agree Alf.
Sometimes I don’t know why clubs don’t just pay em out.
They will run their contract down anyway.
In a way. Although I’m an admirer of firp. Give him a decent contract or ease him out. Play byram instead.
Take control of the players. Give them a deadline to decide.
9.) 07 Oct 2024 14:45:31
He's having surgery so I'd assume he is actually injured.
10.) 07 Oct 2024 20:01:29
Is he though Dill? Do we have any proof?
Paying them off would have a negative impact on P&S and affect our ability to bring new players in Aus, plus we haemorrhage the transfer fee and all his wages which is a fair whack.
11.) 08 Oct 2024 09:31:52
Only known what was reported recently ?♂️.
21 Sep 2024 14:39:41
Not really surprised about Solomon being injured. Not tryna have a gotcha moment, but I said before we signed him it was a dubious signing based on him being extremely injury prone, and lo and behold 2 games in he's already injured. Not the smartest signing when other fully fledged international targets like Sallai were gettable.
Is what it is. Prefer Largie anyway. He's a one on one demon so expect to see him driving forward at defenders today. If he's isolated them then good things will happen down that right.
1.) 21 Sep 2024 16:52:22
Agree Dill.
2.) 22 Sep 2024 10:17:29
He’s tweaked a muscle in his back, which anyone over the age of 13 knows is very easy to do, athlete or not.
21 Sep 2024 06:56:26
Salzburg have released Oumar Solet as he made it clear he wouldn't be signing a new contract and only had 10 months left on his deal. Seems they wann blood some young Bs in this season rather than play a player intent on leaving.
He's a RCB. Tall at 6,4, ball player, athletic, strong, very good recovery pace, good body mass ratio.
Only thing is he failed a medical at Hoffenheim in the summer and has had quite a few niggly injuries in his career. On a free it's probably worth a punt, imo. There are clubs like Villa, Forest, Wolves and West Ham looking at him in more depth, so he is talented. Just the aforementioned injuries which could be the deciding factor.
I do like him as a Rodon alternative, though.
06 Sep 2024 21:25:52
The floodgates are opening! After Joseph scored last week, he's scored again tonight for Spain u21. Brilliant movement in the box once again. Lovely finish. Defenders finding it really hard to track him in the box. His anticipatory skills are top notch. He so good at finding the space or beating a defender to the ball. A quality CF trait.
1.) 06 Sep 2024 22:33:20
Sounds promising.
2.) 07 Sep 2024 06:47:09
Let’s hope so dill.
3.) 07 Sep 2024 08:25:14
It was another lovely finish!
4.) 07 Sep 2024 17:15:37
Great to see.
5.) 07 Sep 2024 22:25:22
Impressive stuff from him!
6.) 08 Sep 2024 20:13:31
Hope we go up this season as he's another that may go for silly money.
7.) 09 Sep 2024 08:48:38
That’s yet another big motivational factor for getting promoted this season Koch! ??.
31 Oct 2024 09:48:06
ForbPiroe scoring doesn't always equal him having a good game. Don't get me wrong, he's done what we wanted by scoring, but he offers so little in our out of possession work and his in possession stuff isn't very good either. Puts a lot of pressure on us when there's not outlet or we can't press as effectively from the front. Nothing sticks. Heading duels he wins zero and barely applies much pressure in them. All little things which make the game harder for us.
Feel like when Piroe starts he generally has one of two games. He scores but does little else to help the team with his auxiliary play or he doesn't score and also doesn't help the team with his auxiliaries.
Right now he isn't scoring and he falls into the latter. There's no reason to start him if he's not scoring consistently.
31 Oct 2024 05:49:07
Piroe has played his best football for us when he's A. Come off the bench in games we are already winning. B. Has then played at 10. C. Whilst Joseph was still still on the pitch playing at 9.
Pretty interesting when you see what kinda game state he performs in as opposed to him starting in a lone 9 role.
He's our best finisher and ball striker, but he's just not a good lone 9.

Furthermore
Joseph is superior to Piroe in stats p90 for:
- Shot Accuracy
- Shots p90
- xA
- Pass Accuracy
- Successful Dribbles
- Successful Tackles
- Aerial Duels Won
and that’s maintained over 200+ minutes more played too. He gets the best out of others around him. "
As a team we perform much better when Piroe is not starting.

They should.

I'd try re-sign him, personally. With all the injuries and manager rotation at the club when he was last in the Prem, I think he might fancy another go at it.

Prefer Ao to Ljubicic anyway. Hamer would've been ideal, but still happy with Ao and think he'll be a regular starter by this time next month.

How much would it cost to terminate Bamford's contract in Jan? Serious question. He's a charity case at this point.
Have been watching Erabi a lot since we got linked and I'd happily take him in Jan. Different profile to what we have with our CF options, so would offer us good options off the bench.

Opportunity to play two up top tomoz imo. Solomon nowhere near match fit looking at his last performance. Keep him on the bench. Move Aaronson to the right. Gnonto left partnering with Firpo. We'll see. If he sticks to a lone CF then it MUST be Joseph.

Not a fan of Solomon. Seems to be a selfish player in that he's A. A tad greedy and B. Doesn't work back defensively. The difference between him and Ramazani was night and day. We lost so much intensity. Plus I'm not really sold on Solomon as being a very incisive winger who creates a lot of opportunity.
Not really happy that we're paying 60k for a player that we're still waiting to be fit. He's had, at best, half a decent game for us against Hull. If we're paying 60k a week then he needs to be consistently match fit. Which he hasn't been. And performing well. Which remains to be seen. Very underwhelmed with the signing so far.
Which leads me to DJ. I retract my sentiment about him being fourth choice. He's definitely third now. I prefer him to start over Solomon if Ramazani is out injured. He showed more in those 15 mins than Solomon did all game. Our chance creation went up massively with DJ and Joseph being on instead of Solomon and Piroe.
Furthermore, I think Somomon looks a bit overweight.

Not even sure why this thread has gone on so long when all it essentially boils down to is me not wanting to start a player who isn't match fit over players who are all match fit and have been contributing goals and assists this season ?♂️?♂️.

Can't call Gyabi until Jan, George.
I'd be happy with Kouyate. I imagine his medical and fitness tests will be what's taking so long if its still on the table. He's not played a lot this past year so we really do need to make sure he's got the legs still. If we don't get him them we need to go for someone like Coquelin who's been at Villareal the past four seasons.
