I’m just glad we got through that game against Hudds without any serious injuries to some key players.
Their tactics were clearly to nullify our game by not giving us any spaces to play through and doubling up on players like Summerville.
We’ve probably played about twenty odd games this season with the opponents playing this negative type of football to gain a result.
The fouls committed plus the time wasting in the first half was the worst I’ve ever seen in a football game. There could have been only about 20 mins of actual football played that’s including the 9 mins extra time to half time.
This is the reason I can’t stand the Championship, I can’t really blame coaches setting up their teams to play this kind of negative boring football, especially when involves relegation.
Just isn’t entertainment though as far as I’m concerned, I’m sure the dog botherers don’t care how they play, they’re used to it.
On a side note, I wonder what the odds are for Leeds and Ipswich to get the Auto spots with Leicester missing out?

It was reported it was actually 22 minutes in that first half. Farke ought to have predicted this and catered his selection accordingly. Not starting with the in form bulked up better than Bamford MJ an egregious error. Not bringing him on in last 20 minutes either utterly remarkable.

So the Leicester 5 points lead ahead of Leeds is quite a lot.
And 8 points ahead of Saints
Leeds imo need at the very least 27 points ( 9 wins out of 11 ) to hopefully finish above at least one of Leicester and Ipswich
Leicester nèed probably imo 22 to 23 points to get promoted ( that will keep them ahead of Leeds and Saints)

I don’t think it would have made much difference George, there were so few attacks generated for our forwards, It seemed like we were unable to get the ball past the second third of the field.
Stifling the game made it difficult to make any fluidity to our game.
It was a horrible game to watch, but sadly for us it worked for them.
Joseph would be better served against teams that want to play a game of football, he’s a great prospect but he would of been frustrated like the rest of our forwards in that shjt game.

Leicester have just lost three games on the bounce, hardly the form of a team that was out of sight not so long ago. Form can dip then confidence crumbles away.

Huddersfield have lost at least 7 league games at home includung 4 nil " thrashings " by Norwich and Watford.
Leeds needed to be on it from the start but the failed to do so.
2 vital points dropped. more Leeds United failures away from home will cost them top2 for sure.

OP Never underestimate value of holding ball up, drawing fouls and then crafting and executing a set piece. MJ can help with that. I have full faith and confidence in him. Please convey my praise to him.

The past 2 league matches against Leicester and Huddersfield. Leeds starting 11 failed to score in the first 75 mins and 65 mins.
I hope DF plays DJ and CR . and gives MJ game time from the bench.
