Irrespective of who we sign now we are looking at playing the championship side minus White for probably at least the first month of the season . This is especially so if we sign foreign based players requiring 14 days self isolation . This means we line up against the likes of Liverpool, Wolves and Man City with a defence containing Cooper and Struijk or Ayling at centre back . You can blame the club for being once again a little naive over wasting time on BW or just circumstances. Either way the first month of the season is going to be critical to how we transition into premier league life . It requires in my view MB to have turned Struijk into BW mark 2 over preseason . Anything less or god forbid he moves Ayling to CB and we will be playing serious catch up for the rest of the season .

If anyone can do it, Bielsa can. don't forget Struick has also had Coberans tuition in the u23s so should know the role well and why the heck can't he step up?

Struijik + Liams confidence could take a very hard hit in the 1st few games, but with bubs teaching things might workout, however we really do need CB, s in as soon as, but I get the feeling we are about to announce a few new additions.

Dont expect isolation will be an issue, once tested and clear surely will be Ok.
Otherwise I hope liverpool stay in Austria a little longer!

No matter who we face guys we're giving everyone a right game in this fancy Dan league.
We have a band of brothers, from players, coaching staff, admin, cleaners, catering staff, fans.
This league won't know what's hot them. Any team taking any points from us will be knackered when they get back in the changing rooms.

I’ve always rated Pascal and was really pleased to see how he played in the last few games. In a way it is a no risk opportunity for him if he plays. It’s against a Liverpool attack that took apart many very good sides last year. He will be judged against the highest standards and if he has a good game imagine that, if he struggles, it is Liverpool after all and we are trying to spend close to 30million on a centre back! If he comes out of it with a good performance, imagine the boost that gives him and the squad!
