Harry Gray, hatrick for the 21s at Scunthorpe tonight. I have said it before, get him in the matchday squad, he knows where the net is.

Totally agree Feath.

We're lacking attacking options and don't use all the options. We are out own worst enemy.

Get Gray in!

You can’t teach being a natural goal scorer and the lad is just that. I honestly would have him on the bench and getting game time. He could just be the striker we all wanted.

Gotta give him more first team experience Farkey boy. Get him on last 20. At least his fit.

17 Sep 2025 01:18:55
There's a world of difference between Scunthorpe Utd and Wolves, so how successful he'd be is debateable, but he may be worth a try as a 2nd half sub om about 60-65 mins.

Whether or 16 or 36 if your good enough you should be playing the goals are the same size regardless of standard the pitch is more or less the same size, Harry Gray should be at least on the bench.

17 Sep 2025 06:23:52
Got to agree about Harry Gray being given some game time in the first team squad. Think his brother Archie proved them Gray lads have some talent and can handle stepping up.

17 Sep 2025 09:55:45
If Brendan can start then anyone can, not even related to a footballer that lad.

Brilliant Chris that made me chuckle.

The goal posts, bar and net are the same but the quality of the defenders he’s be playing against are not. You got to protect your talented youth players and know when to include them and when also not to.
Scoring a hat trick against an u21’s team has little to no bearing on how he would get on against most Premiership teams.

At the moment we are having difficulty to supply our striking force so young Harry would have very little to feed off anyhow. However that doesn’t mean he should be dismissed of any minutes during any given game this season. Against a lesser side and we are chasing a game, most certainly why wouldn’t you give him the opportunity, having said that I imagine Harry is no where near ready to start any game just yet.

That’s the spirit opti.

He is 17 next month OP, many many players have been good enough at that age. Ie, our own Peter Lorimer, 15, James Milner 16, Alan Smith 18. I am not saying to start him, but if he comes on, gets some decent game time and looks the part, why not.

17 Sep 2025 15:42:21
I'm with the if he's good enough play him. He may not be 100% ready for the prem but it's only experience.
He looks way above 18s or 21s. As long as he doesn't have too long on the pitch he should learn loads.
The thing now is that u23s have gone the only way of a youth player getting any where near men's football is a loan out.
But at Harry's age he can go nowhere as he's too young.
It cannot harm to give him minutes.
But farke seems less keen on youth as a certain previous manager who can't be named.
There is only archie that has made the leeds first as a regular .

Young Archie got a Premiership awakening when John McGinn thought he was too cocky, that put him on the treatment table for quite some time.
I just want young Harry to be handled carefully without being thrown into the deep end and given a nasty injury to deal with.
Some minutes off the bench will be good for him this season.

17 Sep 2025 17:20:13
Mock OP as much as you like, his point is very reasoned and valid! It's about selecting the right defenders, the right team, and the right game. Minutes willy nilly are pointless. It has to be valuable and positive, and relevant to his learning curve.

I’d like Harry to be given a chance, but it wasn’t that long ago everyone was screaming for Joseph to be playing because he was knocking them in for fun for the U21’s.

Let’s face it, the whole team was knocking them in for fun last season, but the EPL is different, better standard, and a lot more cautious style of play where no one has an issue sending the ball half a pitch back to the goalie if means possession is retained. If you look at opta stats and look at the difference in xg between the championship and the EPL.

I think Harry might be in the squad this weekend.
