Thoughts on trying to bring Milner back next summer?
36 in January but still looks like he has another season or two in him, but maybe not up Bielsa levels?
He is on very big money, wonder if he would take a big cut to finish his career at his club?

Not 100% Milner is a money grabber. We all like to earn a good wage but some like Milner at this point will be driven by his heart I reckon.
My guess is he will retire after Liverpool or join us.
Don’t think he will consider another club unless maybe offered player assistant manager role somewhere.

Should have happened last year if it was ever going to happen but think Milner coming back as a player then that boat has sailed. Need to be looking forwards as a club not back on the past or sentiment.

Have to agree with the guys saying its not a transfer that I would like to see

His age alone sets my alarm bells ringing, 36! If we weren't prepared to keep hold of Pablo, who in my opinion is much more of a creative force than Milner and had had years of being trained in the Bielsaball tactics, then why would we be trying to teach an old dog new tricks. Being able to run for 100 minutes isn't the only process in Bielsaball. You have to be able to understand your position on the pitch in any one moment, depending on the situation. Some understand that quickly, some are taking much longer for that penny to drop.

I have always admired Milner but, as a previous poster has said, we need to be looking to the future not the past.
If Milner wanted the emotional journey he would have joined us for Bielsa's 2nd or 3rd season but instead committed himself to his £140,000 per week salary at Liverpool, and fair play to him.

Love the lad, and he has had a great career, but no, he offers very little extra to what we already have, and we need to invest for the future rather than getting nostalgic.

It’s a romantic idea and huge fan, and he will always be Leeds but after watching Foddn embarrass him last Sunday (as he has many younger opponents) would prefer to have him back on the coaching side.

It's a no from me.

fat and zero chance of a 36 / 37 year old Milner coming to Leeds as a player

player coach role in the championship beckons for him perhaps.

No from me too, though wouldn’t mind him being added to the Academy staff if he was interested. Apparently started his coaching badges more than 10 years ago while at Villa, but found he was too busy playing etc to make much progress at that time. While he started working on them again during his first season at Liverpool, it’s not clear how much he’s done on them, as a couple of seasons later he didn’t seem entirely committed to a future in coaching. However, last season he seemed to warmed to the idea again, being enthused by the prospect of passing on his experience to young players. I’d like to see him do that at Leeds, but he may now feel a closer bond to the setup over there.

Seems like the consensus is Milner too old and not wanted by majority.
I agree too with comments, just trying to pass time over international break.
Think it should have happened after Liverpool won the title and a pity it didn’t.
