Well there we go, struggled to cope with a poor Burnley side. This is a very poor start, Liverpool will be a very tough team to get anything from even at home so we face potentially going into the break with just 2 points from 4 games. At the moment this is relegation form. We desperately need to strengthen on midfield as we are over run every game and as we saw today missing one or two key players seriously weakens us. This is the premier league, we keep pace with the rest or we will be punished. Not spending is foolhardy and naive.

We’re all doomed, doomed I say, typical Bielsa yep, giving us the greatest period in my fifty years of supporting the Team and putting on lightweight baby shacks who…. oh wait a minute…. helped create the equaliser……need to spend a lot more money, it’s guaranteed to work, I mean look at Arsenal.

Class, my feelings exactly.

29 Aug 2021 16:44:49
Wow class, the greatest period? Must have slept through the sgt. Wilco period. 4th in his first season in top division after promotion then champions the following season.

Oh right so because shacks passes a ball that created a goal that then justifies all the he's where he has done nothing?

Remind me again does the job which makes him a very wealthy young lad not require the ability to actually kick / pass a ball?

But because he done then that's it, he a top lad?

'50 years 'of supporting Leeds takes you back to 1971 and Revie's team who went on to win more trophies FA cup 72, League Champions 74.

Chris - Shack has clearly shown already in pre-season, and when he’s been used so far this season, that he’s more than capable of making a meaningful contribution in the Prem. He was only on the pitch for the last 15 today, what more do you want him to do that set up the equaliser. The lad has pace, can put a foot in, has decent control and passes well - so what’s your beef?

Mezzer a little glance at my picture and name …class of 92 should give a clue to how high I value, rate sgt Wilko and his team.

My reasoning on this being the best I’ve experienced is based on where we were as a club when Bielsa came in and the money that was in football at the time, compared to Sgt Wilkos era.

No Russian, American or Sheiks bank rolling teams like today, our club was definitely on a crossroads that could have gone either way,

Bielsa has been a force of nature since he arrived, totally and his teams have played the best football I’ve seen but I fully agree he is very stuck in his ways, stubborn, squad is probably too small, and of course I would love us to have added more players than we have…. but if we ain’t got the money then we ain’t got it.

And to see one of our own like baby shacks come through the academy and represent the first team, wow something I can only ever dreamed off, highest I ever got was having been released by Brighton as a 16 year old youth player.

I have no problem posters sharing your frustrations especially after last years win at Burnley but it’s a banter site and I just have a different view, that’s all.

It’s certainly not a better view than anyone else’s, I’m not more right than anyone else on here, I just love watching my team in the top league and will relish every last minute of Bielsa’s tenure on what I fear will be his last season with us.

May still be a roller coaster this year but still beats Hartlepool away.

Anyone who understands the game would have seen how Shackletons running created space for Raphinha to start to get into the game.
Too many only see the highlights reel stuff and think that is what makes a player good but no its what they do for the team.

My beef is Class, he tiny, light weight, easy to out muscle, goes missing too much and not a proper quality replacement . Surely if he's as good as you think he is then why ain't he starting? Why is he a bit player? He's quick but so is Traore so for me that means very little if the skill set ain't there .
We were laboured devoid of ideas and lucky really to get a point today .

Furthermore clue Bogusz set Oz on fire 2 seasons back came back and was last seen in the Bermuda triangle .

So fringe players don't mean much to Bubs, there merely a body count to fill a bench.

Canada, I understand, I understood the night we took villa apart back in October, shacks done a lot of impactful running on the night .

I genuinely thought well that's it he has arrived only for the rest of the season to more or less swallow him up in anonymity really.

Think you’re right CC In terms of a fortunate result today mate, and agree Shacks is still learning and needs more games to get to next level as Messelier did. But this is our squad as it stands (personally I’d play Drameh in front of Ayling) and Sumnerville deserves his chance but agree that’s not easy under Bubs, he’s very stubborn,

With regards to Revie et all Baz, of course I dine out on that period of success, but truth be told was too young to remember it clearly, experience it.

29 Aug 2021 19:26:04
Class you are right in everything you say mate. Ayling needs dropping because he others little going forward.
A good point I thought in a tough match particularly because we haven’t clicked in to gear as yet.
Early days .

Class agree it's a game of opinions. Maybe Bielsa, orta, and radzs need to be on the same page, as we have brought many young and so called one's for the future. But I ask did bielsa agree or want many if not any of these as he isn't prepared to blood them. Is this because he didn't want them, doesn't trust them or think they aren't good enough. If the latter is the case why would orta and Radzs recruit them. The fact that bielsa would rather use players out of position and his tried and trusted few, I find strange. He is stubborn, but we have taken several big beatings last season and I'm not sure we will better last season's place in the premiership. Also agree this will be his last with leeds.
