Radz and Bielsa were taking a lot of flack from supporters before the season started letting certain players go - Pontus, Wilks and Peacock amongst others but Bielsa's stance has always been we will only sign players if they are better than what we already have. I know it's only one game and Pontus was everyone's favourite (not mine) but White looks like a great acquisition. If we replace Roofe (who is very injury prone) and add a couple more (Kent, the two lads from Inter) and don't sell Phillips, I think we will definitely be stronger than we were before Pontus was sold. Even if Harrison, Costa or Kent (if we sign him) play up top, either of those three would be a better option than Wilks and we still have players like Tyler Roberts, Jamie Shack and Jack Clarke to come back into the mix, so the doubters will have a bit of humble pie to eat after Thursday I reckon (and hope) . In Bielsa and Radz we trust!

Not following your logic MM. When posters were questioning if we were strong enough it was before all these players were signed, sorry they are not signed yet are they. If we do make 3 or 4 additions obviously the squad will be stronger and that's what most were asking for.
Have we only just sold Peacock, top striker, hope we got good money for him.

The point I'm making bielsabud is whilst a lot of people were questioning what Radz was doing with some even suggesting he was making a few quid before selling up for a PSG takeover, this may have been the plan all along. Trim the squad of players Bielsa won't need and those who aren't disciplined (Pontus and BPF) , freeing up wages and leaving the nucleus of players who Bielsa trusts and only adding to them if players were better than he already has, which I have already said! I know we haven't signed those players yet but it looks like at least three will be incoming and we will have a stronger squad but the moaners were righting our owners and manager off before the transfer window had shut! Why didn't we sign so and so blah blah. we will be lucky to finish mid-table blah blah.
Typical Leeds fickle supporters. Lose a game - we're poor, win a game - we're going to win the league, sell Jannson - we show no ambition etc etc. Let's give those who run the club until the end of the transfer window before we call for their heads eh?

You're right MM. Bielsa himself said on Sunday that we should judge the window when it closes.
I agree with you're thoughts that the plan for incomings this window was probably always a two stage process. Firstly to get in as many of Bielsa's top targets asap, then once the deadwood and any 'challenging' squad members had been moved on, assess which other targets were feasible both financially and in terms of their current clubs' readiness to sell/ loan. Looking hopeful for further decent additions, but I guess we'd best not count those chickens 'til they've hatched.
IF we do get in another forward and GK, I hope we let Edmondson and Huffer go out on loan to get some decent senior experience, with Miazek as main U23 keeper.
