Correct!

Bermondsey, it’s the way the free market works! Did we sell Clarke for 10 million, no, does it mean we won’t sell him, no, does it mean we will sell him for more than 10 million if we do, probably. Same with the club! Why should he sell it if he doesn’t want to or need to or doesn’t think the price is right. He believes the club had its best season for many years for the first team and the youth teams. He believes that he can take this club to the premiership and I believe that that is what he wants to do. You yourself have said that it’s not just about money, it’s about money and playing style. Why should he not think he can achieve it!

If Bielsa doesn’t resign then perhaps he will think again. But if Bielsa says he can do it next year and they can agree on the how, why would he go?

I think he deserves another year at least to show us what he can do.

If you see him around the club with his 5 year son in the strip, I’m not sure you would think he will be going anytime soon!

BM you said Cellino was our best chairman to date, due to a lot of the others being so poor . So after the best season we’ve had in 15 years, Why would you be saying Rads out? We achieved what we achieved that with little investment, so what makes this coming season potentially doom lade that we need our owner out before it’s started? I don’t remember Cellino investing much money our have I developed amnesia . Can you remind me again why he was so much better than our current owner?

The 2 teams in the play off final today, how many players in each 11 have been purchased? How many have they loaned? How much did Norwich and Sheffield United spend?

Rabbity, I think it’s another of Bermos attention grabbing lines! For me, Radz is a different class to Cellino and any owners that we have had for a bit. Honestly amazed at the animosity towards him!

Cellino spent (net) no more than Radz. To criticize one you criticize the other.

To put some numbers to my earlier assertion:

14/ 15 season - £3.3m purchases (Antennuci top purchase at £1.2m) against sales of £13m (McCormack top sale at £11m)

15/ 16 season - £4.675m purchases (Wood top purchase at £2m) against sales of £4.8m (Byram top sale at £3.7m)

16/ 17 season - £9.350m purchases (Roofe top purchase at £3m) against sales of £6m (Cook top sale at £6m)

17/ 18 season - £21m purchases (Forshaw top purchase at £4.5m) against sales of £16m (Wood top sale at £15m)

18/ 19 season - £13.06m purchases (Bamford at £10m) against sales of £5m (Viera at £5m)

Figures taken from Transfer league but show that Cellino generally operated at a net profit. Not defending Radz as I believe that an opportunity was missed in the Jan window through limited investment, but to criticize Radz for transfer activity and not Cellino is a tad unfair.

Raggity Cellino bought 26 players into the club. 7 of those were regulars this season. He invested. However, it was at the cost of 3 things. 1. Manager. We got cheap carp to begin with. 2. Academy closure. 3. Legal recklessness demonstrated by Redfearn and his missus situation. Cellino's positive leadership definitely existed but it was based off of negative things which hurt the club. Maybe Cellino was right man at right time and necessary because of our plight so I give him an 8 out of 10 rating. Looking back, he helped lay some foundations. However, Radz is pushing the club forward more than Cellino could. Question is will he stagnate the club's progress, reach the promised land or sell to the Qataris. If I was him, I'd probably sell if the price was right.

Fair post Georgie! Perhaps we have a stubborn Chairman as well as a stubborn manager! Perhaps he has promised his son Danni, promotion for his next birthday to go with his shirt!

27 May 2019 16:43:19
George, I personally thought a Cellino was good for Leeds, a passionate man who wanted good for our club . Like him Rads has invested and probably more in his short tenure, if you take purchase of Elland Road and players into account .

27 May 2019 16:46:59
Spanish, I agree about BM’s headline grabber, up there with the KP abuse one .

27 May 2019 17:59:03
George your right, Radz has take the club to his level, but can he find funds needed to push forward, he has two seasons left according to him so we have to give him that unfortunately, but if he cannot keep MB he will need better underpants because the fans won’t left him forget it,
