Maybe Marcelo was 100% correct to continue pursuing DJ in the way he did after all!? He certainly saw something! And massive credit goes to Farke for developing him, and his self belief, as the player himself admits. I now believe he can take him further in the PL too.

I don’t think it’s any coincidence that DJ’s form has taken an upturn on the arrival of Herr Farke.
Let’s hope he can now translate this great form into the Premiership, should we go up.

More like there was always a good player there who needed to be given a long run of games in his natural position right wing ( not CF)
With currently 12 goals, DJ has surpassed even my pre season prediction of him scoring 10 goals.

He played quite a lot on his right wing position for us but was rarely effective same at Man Utd and on loan at Fulham.
No doubt in my mind that Farke and his coaching staff have ironed out in inefficiencies and now he can assist and score goals.
There’s not much to divide between Gnonto and James, both scoring goals. I feel Willy deserves his place after James had a little dip in form a little while back so doesn’t merit to be dropped.
It’s a pity we can’t start with both of them.
Makes great competition for places when you have both players like this on fire vying for a start.

DJ never given a run of games on RW previously and often on bench though OP
And what's with the " dip in form" nonsense ?
Facts are in January 2024 immediately before his injury at Norwich . DJ scored in the 3 previous EPL wins against Birmingam, Preston and Cardiff
DJ was in great form.

Just my assumption, maybe from that mid December period? More likely though I believe it’s probably about DJ’s devastating pace coming on later in the game causes so many problems for the tiring opposition?, but I’m sure you know more than Farke for the reasons why he should start with James over Gnonto.

And defenders tired or not is a moot point . as DJ devastating pace is too much for them even start of matches
FACTS are when DJ starts matches he is often the " GO TO MAIN MAN ' to get that crucial first goal early in first half.

Gnonto is also “a man on form”. DJ is not displacing him, as he doesn’t deserve to be dropped. The point about DJ and tired legs, is also most certainly not moot.
