When strujk and Byram fit how do we line up in defence? Does Ampadu move back to midfield?

Hard call Mighty, for me yes, Struijk in back 4. Byram LB.

Good problem to have and with Joseph throwing his hat in the ring also we have good forward options, Anthony I thought looked class last night also . We have 4 decent wide players as well as lots of midfield options for the rest of season . Looking good.

I cannot see that Gruev has done anything to justify being dropped. He is a class act. I would say the same for Kamara - but that’s a tougher one due to the way Gray is performing and the fact he could slot in there. Gray could also play the Rutter role - but he is similarly undroppable if fit. The Ampadu/ Rodon pairing is working a treat - so why change. Gray may have to revert to right back. His link up play with Gnonto or James is producing results when he plays there. Byram is better than Firpo and should replace him. Firpo is an asset going forward but remains a liability at left back against better teams. I’ve always rated Struijk but I think he’s going to have to bide his time now. If we keep winning league games there is no reason to change the defence and midfield lines.

Amps I think sees himself in midfield so he might be put out if he's kept at cb after struijk is fit.
But to be fair the amount of time struijk has been out it will a good while before he is a starter.
So I think the same starters for the foreseeable. Though he may rest archie for a game.

Don't change the winning team I say. Obviously against Chelski we made changes to personnel so that's different but I would go back to the previous line up now.

Corky, Leeds have had only a few injuries. In 2024 it has helped a lot with a relatively smallish squad in certain positions.
We definitely need to recruit 2 goal scoring midfielders next season. In the EPL, especially if promoted.
