Dean Saunders on Talksport this aft talking about c.v. postponements, said that, as a manager, if his 2 best players couldn’t play he would do anything to get the game postponed if he could - then stated that however, there was a line he wouldn’t cross as a manager, and that he wouldn’t get someone to watch opponents training through a fence like Bielsa did.

What a muppet. - with apologies to Kermit, Miss Piggy etc.

Shock horror!

What Clu the bastion of all virtuous morals and principles, Dean Saunders is upset over a practice of watching opponents train, widely accepted as normal in many areas of world football.

But when he was jailed for drink driving, where he could have killed innocent people whilst driving home from the races clearly intoxicated, subsequently claimed he was unable to give a breathalyser test due to asthma and talked to the arresting officers like something of his shoe, was also told he was arrogant and considered himself above the law by the judge at his trial.

Then yes, I really think we should take note of this fine upstanding member of the talk crap radio team.

Well said Class, maybe he should engage his brain before opening his mouth! He along with quite a few double standard and hypocritical pundits have a short memory and should know when to shut up! Great point made Class 👍👍MOT.

Cheers Woody, these so called shock pundits are the lowest of the lowest lowlifes.

27 Dec 2021 23:33:24
There crap all of them they had there time now and selfish and jealous the lot of them mot boys.

Speaking of numpty pundits just finished a rewatch of League Cup Quarter Final Leeds 4 vs Vile 1 in the 1990/ 1991 season ; jeez I forgot how bad lol 'super pundit' Tony Cascarino was as a player for the Vile

Also how absolutely refreshing to watch a superlative EFFECTIVE Leeds United side that passed the ball forward to each other quickly, none of this bs overplaying from the back we have now, a team of players that ALL could score goals, that looked likely to score from most corners and set plays

Howard Wilkinson a true LEEDS UNITED GREAT AND LEGEND so, so, so far ahead of MB in achievements as a LUFC manager.

Different times Baz. We had a great team then and could afford to compete. Now we have a championship team and are trying to compete with mega rich clubs whose budgets are on an entirely different level.

28 Dec 2021 11:34:53
Yes Alf tis true LUFC are competing with mega rich clubs whose budgets are on a different level, and financially Leeds were closer ( but still behind) these same teams back in the 90s

it was however most of our promotion team that became League Champions in 1991/ 92 Strachan, Chapman, Batty, Speed, Fairclough, Sterland, Shutt, McLelland, Whitlow and this achievement was down primarily to the very effective game management of Howard Wilkinson

sorry but in second season since promotion MB has been truly gash and vastly underperformed whereas Wilko was superlative, loved Wilko playing players in their natural positions, something MB could learn from.

Talksport Radio is utter rubbish in my humble opinion.

28 Dec 2021 13:42:20
Didn’t Wiko play Speed as a CB on occasions?

28 Dec 2021 21:24:11
Cork : Wilko tried Speed at CB / sweeper for one match ( and that was in 92/ 93 season ) he also had Batty covering at right back for a few games that season too ;

but vast majority of the time Wilko played players in their natural positions.
