Ita trying to get deals done for peanuts that does it imo. If we were ready to pay proper money it might be different.

We can't be skint after finishing 9th and new tv money.

Depends what we spend the money on. Maybe Radz is keeping it all for himself?

YAAAWWWWNNNNNN!

Omg Alf, your absolutely going down your own poop shoot now

What gives you the right to cast such disgusting accusations against anyone.

Where is the evidence that our chairman is pocketing our finances? Your slight shows you in a worse light than our chairman. Disgusting.

Alf - why are you so determined to be so negative - first you make a baseless claim that Llorente is out for quarter of the season and now a baseless suggestion re Radrizzani?

Just wondering where the money our club makes goes Clu - we finished higher up the league than expected, we had 50mil invested by the 49ers and te majority of our squad are on lower wages than our competitors so we should be in a better position than most - so why are we being so coy in the transfer market?

It may be that we are going to spend big in the next couple of weeks but after publicly proclaiming we wanted our business done by June something seems off to me. Is no money being made available or is Orta too incompetent to woo players? What's your explanation buddy?

Alf - as you said, it was a £50m investment from 49ers, who are serious business folk as well as football fans. In making an investment, they are entrusting Radz and Orta to spend that money prudently, so not to go paying over the odds for players, either in transfers or wages. So if some trashy click bait media claims we’ve missed out on player x or y and that Bielsa will be fuming about it, we were probably never interested and if we were, have taken a view that either the transfer fee requested and or wage demand and agent cut were not good value - and have moved on to the next on the list. Also, as many folk have already pointed out on here, Orta has been very open in saying the winger would probably come in towards the end of the window. They have clear options in mind and are likely to have to wait to try ensure they get one of those they most want. In addition, as we all know, Bielsa is very specific about the type of player he wants for each position, and may even have tweaked his requirements for the CM on the basis of what he’s seen from existing players in pre-season - which will be making Orta’s job that bit harder than for many other football directors.

Some of the money coming in will also be going into player’s performance bonuses and improved contracts. And of course, player costs are not the only outlays. Between £2-3m has been spent just on new pitches at Elland Road and Thorp Arch. There will also be the additional changes at Elland Road required by the Premier League, such as new dugouts, and further upgrades at Thorp Arch required by Bielsa, the cost of testing etc at Becketts Uni, and the groundwork being undertaken in preparation for stadium expansion (which seems likely to start next summer) and the new Parklife facility on the Matthew Murray site. I could probably go on, but hope that the above may have given you a little to think about before you come out with more trash talk re Radrizzani and or Orta.

That still leaves a defecit of around £80mill Clu. You like to post big long posts making out you know much more than anyone else about the goings-on at the club and that you are so much smarter than anyone else but in actual fact this is all just guesswork and you are no more in the know than anyone else. Fine you can have your views but just because I have different ones doesn't mean you are right. You like to blindly trust chairmen who you assume have our best interests at heart but look where that got us with Ridsdale and Bates. me, I'm a bit less trusting of them.

Alf - I have at no point suggested I personally know more than anyone else on here. I would however suggest that people like Phil Hay do have more insight than many of us on here, and on occasion I pass on their insights. Sometimes I pass on factual information that I have gleaned about players or relevant other teams etc, for others on here to take on board or ignore - doesn’t really bother me which.

Been reading a lot of posts on here about who does and doesn't know what about our transfer plans. Who do you trust? I like a few here am slightly concerned by our lack of activity, but I trust Bielsa implicitly, he will know our plans and if he thought they were not up to scratch he would have walked long ago. It is unsettling, I get that, but we must have faith in Bielsa, he's never let us down before. It will all come good in the end.
