If the big man likes him and buys him who am I to argue however from what I have seen Nahitan Nandez appears no better than what we already have on the books.
I know its a lot to ask but I want top, top quality someone who on his day is unplayable. Someone so good he is undroppable. So far he has yet to convince me.

Agree leodis.
I’d rather two mega stars capable of changing a game and in 11 than 3-4 maybes.

I understand your point Leo and Aus but
' Top top quality ' ' mega stars' will equate to top, top salary too £ 150 K - 200 K a week minimum and how would they react to murderball sessions and all the running required

Moreover ' megastars' often have ' mega egos' it could easily negatively impact on the Leeds United team ethos 'side before self' and create a divide within the side.

Be careful what you wish for!

They have to fit the system or no point.
No pri madona kebabs just talented and grounded gifted individuals.
When I say grounded. I don’t mean grealish.

Let’s not get ahead of ourselves here boys. Nandez is a very good player, yes we’d all like mega stars but we currently don’t have mega star money to offer. And with our lack of squad depth we need too improve on the likes of Roberts at an affordable price and salary. Nandez fits that Bill and can play anywhere across the midfield. It’s about steps and buying players we can improve and make money on to help fund the top players, a la Leicester etc build solid foundations rather than another boom n busy like Ridsdale did it.

Let’s face, we knew Rafa was a very good player when we got him for £17m. It turns out he is a Mega Star, so maybe MB sees the same potential. It doesn’t always have to be someone in the limelight to be a superstar signing.

Me Nandez wouldn't be a replacement for Roberts but for Klich. He's primarily a number 8.

27 May 2021 16:00:28
But my worry/ question is; is he any better than Dallas or an in form Klich. I do not know?

27 May 2021 17:04:57
As usual Leo, you're posing the wrong questions. The real issue which requires addressing is will Klich last a season and maintain good form. As we've seen and with his age (31) and Bub rigorous training schedule, the answer is no. We need cover or competition for his place. Enter Nandez. Better than Klich is not the problem, as good as Klich is.
Klich I'm sure will still one way or another play half the league games and come off the bench regularly but it's all about cover so we're not weaker when he doesn't play. Nandez looks like he could provide that cover. I'm sure the plan a couple of years ago was for that player to be Bogusz but he hasn't progressed as needed. Acquiring Nandez will probably prove good business.

Agreed George lad, but what he will bring is quality genuine competition for all those midfield positions.
I’m pretty sure old victor will hit us with a surprise or 2 as well.

We have not got the funds for the transfers or wages of mega stars so we have to shop to our means. Don't forget what 'The Alchemist'Bielsa can do to very average players. With decent ones he can turn them into mega stars. We need to buy 5 good players that add to what we have, provide depth, can be improved and hopefully even improve on our current squad. Some players such as Klich and Dallas are also not getting any younger so we need younger players ready to deputise and eventually take over the mantle.
