I agree Richem but I think everyone is missing the point

The keeper didn’t make a mistake yesterday the tactics were a mistake

Game after game we keep giving it back to him it nearly cost us against Brom and has cost us against spurs and arsenal so the question is did Meslier make the mistake or is belisa mental for keep giving it to a keeper when passing ain’t his strongest suit? For me messriler is blameless and belisa needs to think about this part of his game plan.

cannot agree with that logic Berm to say the young lad is blameless is stretching it.

I’m sure it gives it gives us all the jitters but six clean sheets and going for a record seven days that as a process it is integral to how we play, he’s actually normally very comfortable in the ball and it was a useful option in managing the palace game the week before.

All players must take responsibility I don’t buy bub is saying give it to the keeper over any other he’s saying keep possession.

Unfortunately keeper and centre forward are the two positions where every facet of your performance are under the microscope. Lots of people saying he shouldn’t get beaten at his near post but the first one Luke and Coops just back off and the second one Alioski is ball watching.

I get your frustration is we should stop doing it but we won’t, and with better players it’s not as fragile.

I agree with you 100% about changing back four but we still have eleven vs eleven and our first half efforts were very poor across the whole team.

Bub can’t kick the ball he seldom gets praise on here when we win or perform well it’s always specific players so how can it be his all his fault if we lose surely it should all be a shared responsibility.

Agreed Bermo.

Mellier made three mistakes yesterday
Near post twice and not getting rid quick enough. That’s nothing to do with tactics. It’s goal keeper positioning!
I’m not criticising him as he is still very much in a steep learning curve.
Costa messing about on the edge of the box cost us the other goal
We really can’t judge these performances this season as we don’t have a settled defence and as I said they are all on a pretty steep learning journey.
Next season will give us a better perspective on where we are.

The juggling about of a working back four did not help.

Just watching U23s and wondering why do the HAVE TO pass back to Cassila all the time. Even in tight situations. It must be an instruction from above.

15 Feb 2021 14:24:05
Most goals are scored in 4 passes or less; thjs constant tippy tappy passing tbe ball around at the back and to the gk is high risk and pretty pointless; it clearly is an instruction from above and they aren't allowed to clear the ball long either it seems.

There is a point Baz, it's to create space in other areas of the field and to make their players do needless work.
But if there is danger a long clearance should be more than acceptable.
