Sobered up now so here is my view of the game. I was sat in Barnsley end with my uncle and they were happy till Eddie came on. Once again we kept the ball but produced very little. Bamford poor and Halme looked comfortable up against him. Harrison may as well have not played, back to last seasons form, Wilks caused us a lot more problems. Klich seemed confused at what his role was and apart from the penalty was coasting. Pablo another one not at the game. Alioski doing his headless chicken bit. The rest played well in my opinion. Shacks pushed us forward and will only improve with confidence, KP once again did his job and another assist. Dallas played better second half and as usual gave his all, still not a full back though. Kiko had a good game, wish he would stay in his box though.
Things improved when Costa came on but still needed Eddie to put it to bed. Fact is we should have comfortably won that and we did not. Yes it is nice to have Eddie and Costa coming off the bench only if the players on the pitch have earned their place. For me Eddie and Costa deserve to start. If we wait till 70th minute to bring them on against the likes of Fulham and Brom we may be already 2-0 down.
I was in Annie Murrays after the match with some Barnsley lads and their view was we should be starting Eddie as Bamford needs six shots to get one on target. what's the point in having a winger who cuts back inside all the time. I have to agree with that if i am honest.
Saying that we outplayed them with only half the team performing and got the win which is a good sign. Think Bubs loyalty to his starting eleven is being tested and now we have alternatives its another conundrum for that maze of a brain of his. Hope he decides to go with players on form as we won that match despite Harrison and Bamford.

we 'may' already be 2-0 down or we may be at 0-0 with no impact subs to call on. maybe the starting 11 are best at tiring a team out and holding the score down while Costa and Eddie come on with their match winning double act as headliners. A bit like Charles and Eddie might have done back in the day. Would I lie to you?
