Glad KP Has stayed, would of liked to of seen Kent and Nolan from inter, to captain inter Milan u19 he must have something about him . I see Clark o dour has gone, I've not seen much of him at all as I don't get chance to see any u23 games but he is a loss? Or not?

Agree0 Disagree0

not fussed about kent but nolan seems a loss why on earth did we want to loan him out? one missed i think.

Clarke was a surprise departure! Good opportunity and good contract for him. He wasn’t going to get any opportunity this year . I liked Clarke, exciting player, but Bielsa obviously didn’t think he is ready yet and Barnsley prepared to take a chance and give him a good contract . A young player can’t afford to turn that down.

Berm - agree with you entirely on Nolan. I was really pleased that they seemed to have grasped that we needed more cover at CB and found a really good prospect who would not spit his dummy out if he did not start. Him and Struijk would have been just about right as backup. Presumably he jumped at the prospect of working with Bielsa this season. Why oh why did they come up with the Kilmarnock plan - still no guarantee of first team minutes and with a chance Bielsa would have left by the time he rejoined us for next season - obviously not going to be as appealing.

And Kent, could have been really good, but could have been a bit of a let down - so agreed there too.

I am also surprised by the Odour deal, a loan would have seemed better as he really appeared to be a talent. It would be nice to think that Orta would have inserted a first refusal buy-back clause, but I won't be holding my breath on that.

Nolan would have been welcome. As for Odour he is not the only young talent we have let go this window, its been like a cull. What are we doing getting them for next to nothing then selling them 12 month later. May not be ready yet but think buying ones for the future only works if they are still here in the future. Expect Huffer and Edmo to be looking to move if they have to drop down for the new arrivals, even though they are only loans. U23s win everything last season now hardly any left, that's worrying however you want to spin it. We better get out of this division this season or we will not have a player that belongs to us left.

Yeah the Nolan deal seems stupid it fell though as he didn’t want to be loaned out . He would be a valuable addition and with cooper not exactly the best and white only there for 1 year Nolan Really should of been a no brainer deal.

Last year’s U18s move up to u23s

Last year’s u23s link up with seniors or move on

Can’t keep them all.

Agree with you Woody

Biesla is showing some of that hard-nosed coaching. If they don't fit they need to be moved on so they don't become a log jam to the younger age groups.
Us supporters have an emotional attachment to the youngsters coming thro

I too was gutted to hear of Odour's transfer but in the cold light of day he has so many better players in front of him that he was never going to get a chance
I believe it's the same reason for Halme (so far down the pecking order even in a position that is a weak area for us) . Wilks (good a league lower than us, but we have brought in players in that position that are from a league above us. And also we have other youngsters who are more complete players in that position) . Pearce (Douglas, Alioski, Davis, even Dallas ahead of him) .

If our goal is to be in the Premiership next year, then hand on heart I can't see many of our first team squad being able to make the step up. So why buy in players now who will have to be sold next year anyway

Casilla-would be found out
Ayling-probably just cope
Douglas-probably just cope
Phillips-probably just cope
White-hopefully a 2nd loan
Cooper-would be found out
Henandez-too old
Klich-probably just cope
Bamford-would be found out
Costa-would cope
Harrison-would cope

If luck is kind, we will need a lot of transfer work next year, so I am glad we aren't buying Championship standard players just to pad out the squad.
