well what a difference a day makes
only a freidnly and can't read too much into it but not great from leeds
stevens looks fanatstic. very quick powerful and good on the ball
boguz is kilch mark 2 very talented and tidy footballer who looks like he can finsish
white looks a great defender very quick, great on the ball reads the game well but not much of a physical presence
if white and cooper is first choice cb we are in trouble we are soft touch and weak at set plays and for all white offers (seems a lot) he doesn't fix our problems. we need a center back who is 6'2 min and a brick S''t house some like Pontus maybe
i love shacks to bits and if we sell him i will personally kick rads square in the nuts
not as good as yesterday but some good displays. as always a team with KP will always be weaker.

Bermo, Well done, quick off the mark! You’re right a bit of a B team performance tonight. Thought we’d be a bit more of a threat up front. Guiseley are putting it about and fighting more than York did. Nice showcase for the youngsters you’ve mentioned. I like the look of white, see what you mean about the physicality, he’s going to have to make it up by positioning speed and timing. Pascal is the more physical of the three. I’d like to see him paired up with Cooper and White in other preseason games.
Need a few goals in the second half!

Agree I think white plus big powerhouse defender will be great for Leeds think white is good just needs the right partner then white can read game and the other can kick and clear high balls.

also daivs looks good very quick and good on the ball again maybe just a bit lightwieght maybe but not sure could be good player this year
move out BFP he can go think caillis will have a stronger second season and milkia or whatever his name is looks class. i really like him and as a great keeper myself it takes one to know one.

Xx one tonight not looking good, they are up against a team who hold the ball well putting it around with no care in the world, Leeds can’t deal with this, only a friendly but the league is full of team like this how will we hold out, not sure.

Almost as if the first team players were fed up that they didn’t get played last night. Alioski, grumpy but fouled all night so even grumpier, KP distracted by £ signs, Clarke thinking of pie and mash, Costa waking up in the second half, Klich wondering what he’s done to end up in the B team again. Youngsters keener!

costa showed class though and did say i think bouzatas looked like klitch and think goal showed that both good players but maybe too similar to play in same team but what a prospect

Thought White had a good game, said he was good, but agree with BW about corners and set pieces with him and Coops. Costa showed some class moves and thought we did okay against a physical side and we will have a few of those i am sure. If Burnley want BPF i say let him go he is not commanding enough. Stevens looked the part and can play a part this season. Bogus showed glimpses and Davis plays well but needs to toughen up and get in harder. Kenneh i have mentioned before and is definitely one for the future, be interesting to see who he puts in against Man. U. Think that will give us more of an idea of what First team might look like.

Think the days of 6ft 2" bricks! those centre halves has gone (sounds like your from my era there) . Now a days the game is all about possession stats, and those big lumps only knew how to belt it in to the channels or row Z.
However, a compromised could be to tell Cooper that his primary job is to be a more dominant style of centre back. Attack the ball more. With Barkley and Jansson next to him he has always had to play second fiddle in those situations. He is normally the one who 'covers'. As this involves reading the game and being able to adjust his positioning quickly, I just don't think it compliments Cooper's more limited game. I think he would revel in a less complex role. It's not like we haven't seen him win many one on ones. His Achilles heel seems to be the covering and four-ball decisions.
This then allows the younger, cleverer, and much quicker White to be able to adjust his positioning around whether Cooper wins the challenges or not.
Still think White could be a good replacement for Phillips. Defensive midfielder is more about speed, physicality and concentration than talented flourishes. Phillips is almost wasted in the position, except he would never get in the side ahead of Henandez, Klich etc.

Sadly showing age with the demand of a big David weatherall type now days is more about possession think the big stopper is long gone, even the dominant defenders like van duke can play
My only worry is the Klopp beslisa and pep way is great but in our league we will come up against the teams who can’t play but good balls at us like Wigan Ipswich wall etc and last year that cost us, I’d like to see beslia give a little and sign a Lewis dunk type even if just for the scrappy games but don’t think it’s in his dna which is fair enough
Also think white as defensive mid is a great shout he was quick very good on the ball and could read the game well.

White has played defensive midfield a bit. You can definitely see why we bought him, very Bielsa and you can only imagine that he will develop well with the coaching. If we bring in one more experienced CB, built like a the Incredible Hulk with height but with the speed of bolt and the footballing skills of glen hoddle, then I think with, Cooper, white, Struick, Berardi possibly even Ayling and mr x we will be ok at the back.
