If we really are interested in Romain Faivre and or Eduardo Camavinga, I’m guessing Meslier may be tasked with a little persuasion while they’re together in the France u-21 squad this summer.

Why, oh why, oh why are we dithering with contract negotiations with Alioski and Roberts.

Surely as a PL club we can pay Alioski more than a Turkish club! Even one that hits the first stages of the CL every year because they are a big club in a small league?

Surely we can offer Roberts a better standard of coaching and team mates than those that are being linked to him.

In both those case I can not see why management can't see them as being part of "the squad". We are not that big that we can just cast aside players who have developed their game to our stratospheric fitness levels.

As it is Douglas is leaving so we should have that salary to intice a younger left back to join us without needing to offload a further left back

In midfield we are going to be one short now that Henandez is going so any recruitment there is only going to redress that imbalance.
Roberts has shown he can compete at the PL level. He has shown he can work at the levels Bielsa requires. He has shown he doesn't wilt in a Leeds shirt like so many have before him. He should be kept and nurtured

(I believe Beradi's position was cover last year with the upgrade that is Koch. Llorente being our Ben White upgrade)

Judge this summers transfers in and out at the end of the transfer window, not before it’s even opened yet. We aren’t privy to what the like of Roberts and Alioski are asking for in terms of financial and playing time. In my personal view, if any player wants to go then let them go. Like in all jobs if your heads turned it’s time to leave.
We need too improve the quality in certain areas and the squad and it’s depth in general. I see is bringing in 5-6 on permanent and utilise the loan options also. Like we all know the depth isn’t there yet so to let 4 or even more go we must be fetching more in.

Don't think Roberts is happy to just be a squad player, I think he believes he should be a regular starter. Personally I don't think he is as good as he believes he is. He shows some promise at times but loses the ball far too often for my liking.

Soryy Axe I tend to agree with Mezz. It's always a gamble that someone you offload can come back and bite you in the bum however one of the things that Roberts has not shown is goals. He is one of these that flatter to decieve. Quality may be in him but he has had the chance to show it and thrown it away. On balance I think we should get rid and use the money where it will give a better return.
As for Alioski, he falls between two stools. He is nowhere near a competent full back and further forward he is not a Premier League winger so for all his big smile jokey manner he is another who hould be cashed in and the two monies spent on the best LB we can find.

Disagree Axe re Roberts

The speed of thought of 36 year old Pablo showed us in the West Brom game what we miss whenever painfully ponderous with little end product Roberts is playing. When Roberts came on for Pablo the difference in standard between them was very noticeable.

I am sure Bielsa knows ideally we need much better first team players than Roberts and Costa, I am not at all fussed if either or both leave both are squad players at best so if either wants to leave then fine.

I do however hope Alioski stays.

Clueless Faivre is a wonderful player and as for Camavinga even better prospect. What Bub could do for him. However, Cama is likely to cost £65m minimum so I don't see it happening in this summer.
