Regardless of what standard our players are I believe that once we have loriente and Koch back we will have a clearer picture if we are capable of defending quick breaks and set pieces.
In theory if players were played in their natural positions in defence we should reduce the goals against.
I would like to add though I don't think biesla will drop cooper this season unless he is injured.
So at the back at end of season we need a true left back.
In midfield we are lacking goals. Rodders started ok with work rate but has slowed down and has not fulfilled his potential. Klich is a work horse but is also struggling.
Raph in his correct position is a real threat. Prov and costa not up to it and I got to be honest I thought Pablo looked disinterested and lacked his usual drive. So we need a goal scoring midfielder.
And obviously although a reasonable goal tally bam needs competition. Tyler no good.
Apart from shacks on occasion I have not seen a u23 better than our usual starting 11.
I would keep Beradi and alioski as fringe players cause they bleed leeds but Foreshaw and casilla can go.

It would be interesting to see both Llorente and Koch in defense when they are up to speed, think those two together you’ll see a transformation to our frail patched up defense we have now, but you are right Aus about Cooper, can’t see him being dropped this season.
There are a few below par players atmo including Klich, we need him to find his mojo, his influence is sorely missed on the pitch. He does have the look of someone who is very frustrated by his form.

Aus

In agreement there mucka, but I am not overly concerned about U23s getting in to the team. Last season, in the Championship, they weren't ousting the incumbents so I wasn't imaginings they would be doing that in the Premier League. For me the policy should be loans for anyone that looks like he can kick on whilst we try to recruit cost-effective players who can oust incumbent 1st team players.

Slowly slowly catchy monkey. Rome wasn't built in a day.

If you want an optimistic view, to be fair to Cooper he is still adjusting to the Premier league where he has never played before (other than a few games as a kid for Hull) and he has been blighted by injuries. Rodders also has not played PL before and even top players signing for the big 6 take a while to adjust so still plenty of time for all our signings to get up to speed. Rodders also missed part of the season through a positive c.v. test. Llorente has hardly played, Koch injured so still to get up to speed. Raph likewise hasn't even had half a season and the rest of the team still getting used to the big league. There is every chance with a full team and a bit more luck with injuries we can surpass our first half of the season tally with some better fortune and with players playing in the right positions and a bit wiser.
